I will never be able to recover from all the trauma this place brought upon me. I still have night terrors and flashbacks from some horrifying stuff that happened at Hallmark. There's nothing I can share right here because it's all too graphic and disturbing, but please do your best to avoid sending a child here. NOBODY deserves this form of torture. Please believe me. Everything is absolutely horrendous about Hallmark especially the living area. Ugghhh, I don't even want to think about it... SO MUCH FAVORITISM!!! No respect whatsoever. It may be appealing to the sight, however, the gnats, smells, fungus, and contamination cannot be stressed enough. The funny thing is, the worst part about this place is the treatment! Therapy is not even the priority, it's whatever can result in less work for the staff. Anyways, I don't know why I'm still wasting my time on this review... I'm so glad I was discharged, doing a whole lot better at home.

if i could give this place negative two stars, i sure would. i was at hallmark for seven months, and the experience was so horrible that i wanted to die at times. not everybody was bad, but the staff lie on the kids a lot, and certain therapists yell at their residents. i remember to girls attempted to jump me, and staff just sat there and watched. i didn't hit back or anything, because it didn't hurt anyway. a staff came on the unit and came over to help, since the other two weren't doing anything. we weren't allowed to close our doors, and we had barely any time to get ready. my final thought before i get mad is that there were gnats in the food, and for FIVE MONTHS we had to eat disgusting packaged food. i mean, they regular food was gross too, and they never truly got rid of the gnat problem.

One girl threatened to slit my throat and the staff did nothing. Girls your age(around 13-15), would encourage you to get high by overdosing on Benadryl, huffing on aerosol cans, and by playing the “choking” game. It’s really disgusting that people with mental health issues are all holed up in one place together. This is a very deadly and dangerous place that will you give PTSD.

My son spent a year in this facility where the staff allowed other children to bully him badly. The staff also had a tendency of being unprofessional and would say things around the kids that were inappropriate. This place looks good on paper, but is nowhere near as helpful as they try to make it seem. Do not put your kids in this facility.

I called to consider this facility for my daughter and the staff that answered the phone was rude. She rushed me off the phone. Didn't allow me to ask questions. She didn't give me a warm feeling. If she acts that way then I know other staff and counselor do always. I don't want my daughter around that negative vibe. I'm not sending my daughter there.

I was sent here and my experience was horrible. I was assaulted and nothing happened to the girl who did it, she was aloud to watch tv after the fight and in my mind I thought she should have gotten charges or something. The food was bad and the atmosphere was toxic. Everyone was about gang life and not about getting their treatment. After a month there I was finally transferred to a new facility where I stayed for 5 more months.

These people need to be in jail. Kids are held here as prisoners and are assaulted and raped.

i was at this place for nine and a half months, during which time we had a few riots, where girls set the bed on fire. It all happened because some people wanted to play a choking game called lights out. It was a devastating place to be. They got mad at me and threatened to nor let me see my dad because i would give him a hig and a kiss (on the forehead) every time he left. there was mold in the showers, the youth counselors do work hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible but stil it was horrible and even worse you couldnt even give out your phine number to the people or youth counselors who would help you through all of this. they also had such a bad nat problem we had to eat packaged food for quite a few montsh we actually would only eat regular food during the summer for one of the barbeques. Anyway i dotn reccomend it. especially if you are ending a child therefor depression, staff do nothing to keep you from hurting yourself its terrible.znyways just wated to tell you before you get any ideas about seding your hild there. also some kids were beaten and rped so tht was terrible
