Predatory practice and one of the worst experiences of my life. If you have ever Googled rehab facility you understand the type of position you must be in and these people take advantage of you when you are at your lowest. Our experience with their admittance staff was extremely drawn out and very frustrating, over several days of collecting extremely private information in a very invasive manner, they strung us along with the hopes that admission was not going to be an issue. Having no experience with mental health facilities, my expectation was true medical professional with ethics working to help you or your loved ones find a compassionate solution to a very serious issue. After string, us our and wasting time we did not have to locate another facility they eventually declined us admittance citing the seriousness of the additional as not bad enough for admittance. Personally, I was a first-hand witness to a loved one who went through exhausting and frustrating battle with chemical dependences, after seeing this person jump nearly to his death from a two-story building they deemed he was not worthy of their care. Mind you we spent hours on the phone and bent over backwards to accommodate any of their request, only to be told we can’t accept your loved one. Although we wasted out time and efforts, I felt completed to write this review in order to save someone else you might be reaching out in despair in hopes of saving your time and frustration. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! After some research, I find that google reviews and placement has been purchased by these facilities and that is why the ratings are high. Did a little deeper and save yourself the headaches of dealing with these people!

Great treatment facility! The staff here is wonderful and treats you with respect. Smart recovery is offered alongside 12 step and they also give you an understanding of what is medically available to help you fight for your recovery. Great therapists to help with individual issues you may be dealing with. If you are looking for help with addiction this is the place to be. Individual cabins are wonderful and well kempt, and the food is excellent. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for help.

I have been to other facilities, EnterHealth stand out. The environment is VERY conducive to recovery. The entire care team is involved in your recovery and the majority of group sessions are led by a very engaging instructor. The community areas and personal lodgings/meals are great. Leaving EnterHealth, I felt that I had the tools required for a successful recovery. I have significantly more confidence leaving EH than I did upon discharge from the other inpatient options.

I have waited until I had a year of sobriety before I wrote a review of Enterhealth (I was there for 90 days January-April 2018). I had my last drink on January 20, 2018, I am still sober and could not have done it without Enterhealth. Allow me to introduce myself, I’m a 52 year old male, professional, hold an advanced degree, married, two kids in college and a drinker for 35 plus years, with last 6 years to extreme excess and I went to Enterhealth completely on my own accord. When I arrived at Enterhealth my health was failing, my wife had moved out, my kids were not speaking to me, and I was on the verge of losing my job. Now, let me say this up front, yes, Enterhealth is expensive. But in my view, worth the cost. Enterhealth was the first place to recognize that I actually have a mental disorder (severe depression and severe anxiety) and had been way over medicating myself with alcohol. Simply not drinking was not going to solve the problem. Prior to going to Enterhealth, I had been to two other facilities where no attention was given to anything beyond stopping the drinking addiction. Both failed miserably. Enterhealth’s dual diagnosis treatment program first got my alcoholism under control and then was able to treat my underlying mental disorders. The doctors worked carefully with me to monitor and adjust my medication on a weekly basis. The councilors were very caring and extremely helpful in uncovering the root cause behind my drinking along with educating me on all the different aspects of my dual diagnosis. I must also mention the didactic program. I am one of those people who want to know the how and why and what do about it. I gained an incredible amount of knowledge of how addiction works and how it affects the human body. Furthermore, I was taught how to live to avoid the addiction in the first place. How to recognize an approaching problem and then what to do to keep from taking that first drink. The nurses are fabulous (just don’t knock on the window). The techs were great and the food was pretty darn good also. The facilities are nice (not extravagant) and I appreciated that I had a separate room. The only real disappointment was that any extra items (massage, haircut, acupuncture, etc.) were on an al la cart system and not included in your daily rate. Overall, I will, and have to close friend, recommend Enterhealth. If you want sobriety, are willing to work and follow their treatment plan, you have a chance. BTW, my wife and I are back together, my kids are speaking to me, my health is much improved and I kept my job.

Because they begin with the knowledge that addiction is a brain disease, they employ the latest medical advances to combat the havoc wreaked on the brain’s neurotransmitters. This helps to restore the serotonin levels and combat craving and give the brain a chance to heal so that recovery can move forward. At Enterhealth Ranch, the patients are treated with kindness and understanding. Treatment needn’t be a stress-filled experience with patients warehoused into cramped quarters with no privacy. Patients at Enterhealth Ranch are given individual cabins with their own bathrooms; a refuge of peace and tranquility. They also understand the importance of nutritious foods in recovery, and serve healthy and delicious foods while accommodating dietary needs. AA doesn’t work for everyone, and Enterhealth is one of the only treatment centers in Texas to offer their patients both AA and Smart Recovery! This was a huge benefit for our family and one that will have lasting effects. The nursing staff were amazing, smart, supportive, and helpful. They took time to speak with our family and had nice things to say. The doctors, psychologists, counselors and techs were attentive , committed and professional. We found both the individual sessions and the family sessions to be an integral part to understanding and processing our feelings and in keeping open communication between our loved one in treatment. The passion they feel for what they do is evident in the way they treat all they come into contact with. Our family felt cared for and supported during times of fear and uncertainty. This was the only faciity that had all the details of IOP and aftercare handled completely before we left the facility. When we had questions they were answered promptly. Concerns were addressed immediately. It was such a well coordinated team that operated with a united goal and this made such a palpable difference. For our family, it all began with an amazing social worker who has a huge heart and a true gift. She helped us at a time of deep sorrow and was the facilitator for everything that followed.❣️ We are so very thankful for the unique treatment that Enterhealth provided and we would shout our recommendations from every rooftop if we could! My experience was horrible with this place. I wrote a check for 10 grand at check in after my boyfriend and I met with one of the counselors there. She explained everything, gave us a tour and showed us where my boyfriend would be staying. That evening at home I began getting harassing and threatening messages from my boyfriends dealer out of the blue. Realizing my bf must have been in contact w him from this place I called up there bc he was not supposed to have a phone. I was asked to not call so ok, no problem. I get it. The staff must focus on the clients. Next thing I know less than 36 hours later, a therapist and an aide are driving my boyfriend back to my house followed by his parents. No one has told me anything about him coming home so I begin to get upset because part of him remaining in the house was him agreeing to help. The therapist is telling me I need to calm down and that she could lose her job for doing this. She tells me that she’s driving him home bc he has way too much to worry about at home to be in rehab right now and that I need to give him a chance. I’m sorry, what? Is that how rehab works? Fast forward to when I call the facility the next day and they tell me it was HIS decision to leave and therefore my money is non-refundable. The evening before your therapist who drove him home told me it was her decision. In fact, did you know your staff drove him home? Something is not adding up so I ask to speak to the director but for days he is unavailable and I go round and round with this place trying to get a refund. Each time they attempt to put me back in touch with the woman who initially convinced my bf to go in- I reckon she is crisis outreach but she can’t help me. And of course due to privacy laws, I am unable to access medical records and my bf is not reliable for the truth, so I reported the situation to NBC 5 Consumer Investigates and called Enterhealth back and let them know. The administrator was immediately available to talk with me that time and I received all but 2 grand back. Looking back, I’d have gone somewhere else given our experience at check in but I was desperate for some help. Instinct told me my bf would play that therapist like a fiddle & he obviously did. The entire experience still makes zero sense to me and I have no explanation from them.
