My elderly mother was sent to this care facility for “adjustment of her medications.” My mother spent about a week here and as far as I know nothing was done for her other than some very minor changes in her meds, basically taking her off some over the counter supplements. What concerned me most was how secretive and uncommunicative this place was. I understand that procedures are put in place to protect the patient’s privacy, but this was above and beyond anything I’ve experience. Visiting hours are very limited and family may only visit with a private code in a separate visiting area. I never once saw the actual unit where my mother was housed. Since she has severe dementia, I obviously couldn’t rely on her to tell me what type of care she was receiving, if her accommodations were OK or even if she might be subject to abuse. Even though I have full power of attorney for my mother, no doctor ever contacted me about her care. I will say that the few staff I came in contact such as nurses and aids during transport and on the phone were very kind. The whole experience made me very uncomfortable though, and my mother was more than anxious to leave.

A place that does nothing for the patient. I’m the absence of Dr Gutierrez, my sister was unfortunate to have been placed in this facility. The fill in Doctore did absolute nothing for her. It was a waste of my time and her money. I am sure they collected all the money for her stay. I would never recommend for anyone.

I would not use this place again. They did not address my husbands problems. Their accounting department is a complete nightmare. I thought at first their overcharging was just a mistake but I have decided they are deliberately overcharging. When I called medicare and then called them and confronted them about the outrageous charges the woman said \"Just throw it away and I\'ll kick it upstairs. Two months later they send me the bill again. They keep trying to over bill on everything.

First of all I wish it had negative stars but I had to choose 1 to let me rate this horrid place! First of all my father is on behavioral treatment medication and he was placed here for medication adjustment. Do not I repeat do not let your family or loved one come here! I am watching my father deteriorate in front of my eyes. He has awful blood shot eyes and groggy, dirty ears, no oral hygiene and when I asked the nurse for items to clean him up she never returned. When I asked why were his clothes soiled and stained and the same set used repeatedly I was informed that perhaps it was coincidence that I came on the same day he had the same clothes from our last visitations. Yet again I asked the front nurse station for the items and was told we are on shift change and it\'s gonna be a minute. My father has lost a significant amount of weight in just two weeks of being at this facility. The nursing home he was in said this was a good place for his treatment and had an excellent Doctor. I can\'t really speak ill of said Doctor but In my profession if you customer service looks bad then you look bad. I am a supervisor of a very well known bank and I would hate for my customers to suffer at the hand of a lazy rude employee. I will not tolerate it at my bank they should not tolerate it at a hospital. Granted those poor elderly patients obviously don\'t have a voice to complain on them but I on the other hand do. I\'m not crazy or delusional or suffer from dementia or Alzheimer\'s so today I promise to find away to speak for these poor individuals. I myself question this facility and the first thing I did was come here for reviews. All negative reviews not a single positive or even a positive response from a representative of the institution. My father will probably be okay once we get him away from there. Prayers and blessings for anyone trying to make the decision to put your loved one here. Read this and with no question in your heart or mind don\'t pick this facility. The best care for your loved ones are not the first priority here. Thank you!!!

A family member was placed in Allegiance Behavioral Health last year. He was in frail health and a fall risk. He also had aphasia at a level that he frequently was unable to find the words he needed to communicate. He was not able to communicate effectively with the family or the staff while he was in the facility. His health declined quickly in one week\'s period of time. With the help of a wonderful woman who works there as a FNP, we had him removed when we found him unable to sit upright at a visit. There are not many choices for people in this area whose loved one has become combative but I would not recommend this location for someone who is physically fragile and/or has difficulty communicating in any way.

This place is poorly run and very deceiving about the care they give. They assure you that our loved ones will get the care you specifically addressed with them and then do absolutely nothing. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone!!!

This is one of the worst companies you could ever imagine. I would NEVER recommend putting ANY family member in this horrific place. The ONLY good thing about this place besides one or two of the regular workers is Dr. Gutierrez. The Admin and especially CeO of this company see our family members as nothing more than dollar signs. The last few times I went to visit my family member in there they were SEVERELY understaffed and the nurses NEVER! came down from the nurses station to help. Horrible service and the place looked flat out disgusting/run down. You can see where people have scratched into the windows \"Help\" in HUGE letters and other things from names to obscenities. I seen males going into females rooms and vice versa and even though the regular staff was doing everything they could to redirect I can only imagine how hard it is being a female trying to redirect a strong and violent male with no help from nurses or admin for that matter. I will say the admin/nurses are VERY good at manipulating you into thinking they genuinely care about our families but I can assure you it\'s nothing more than an act. I also found it quite humorous how many times one person at the nurses station would say something and immediately after they turned around how many of her coworkers rolled their eyes at each other. you can tell there is NO kind of co-operation within this facility. I\'m sure the people who are going to reply to this comment will disagree but I can also assure you they were more than likely if not threatened with their jobs to do so already fear for them so decided to do it on their own. This is just a simple warning to ANYONE deciding to put their family member in this place that they should stay away from this facility. Although Dr. Gutierrez is an amazing Dr I would advise you to look towards another hospital where he can help. Somewhere NOT run by a money hungry employer/CEO

My 92 year old sister, Ruth O. Taylor, is being kept there! The Sheriff told me that. But they refuse to acknowledge her presence or give me her status w/out a \"code\". And I apparently can\'t get a code w/out talking to my sister, which they won\'t allow!!! Further; they\'ve told me if I show up in person they\'ll not permit me on the premises. They are obviously more concerned about their \"legal\" position than my sister\'s well being and relationship (contact!!) w/our family. For all I know my sister is in chains in their basement while they game Medicare and pepare to raid her few assets. What has this country come too?? Pitiful! Pitiful! If they\'re ligitimate...a two minute phone call or brief e-mail would affect resolution immediatey!........But I guess that\'s no longer the American way:(

An absolute nightmare of a place. This center isn't designed to make patients get better, but to make everyone who comes in get worse so more money is sucked out of the unfortunate people that are forced to stay in this hellhole. This place is basically a prison. No TV, no books, no a/c, no phone, nothing, everything is stolen from you and you're just supposed to sit there and stare at the wall. If you need help there is no nurse call button, so you better hope you're able to get up and ask for help because you're screwed otherwise. A family member of mine was put in here against her will, and wasn't even told that she needed a code for family to talk to her, which of course wasn't given to me when i asked for it. Other reviews backup this idiotic problem. Said member is disabled and was not given proper medicine for her disability on time, and went days without it. Was also given nighttime medicine which causes extreme fatigue during the day, and when they refused the next day they were told that if they didn't take it that they wouldn't get any of their other medicines. Almost every nurse and staff member in here is so incredible rude and has no business working in a place like this. I understand it must be stressful working in a place like this, but if you don't even have basic compassion for other humans go work somewhere else. Visiting hours barely exist, and you're forced into a room that's locked from the outside, and you have to knock to let someone let you out . Multiple occasions I heard patients being ignored, including patients actually screaming for help only to be told they were too busy doing paperwork. If you care about your family do not send them here.

According to the facility, my father had 3 falls in 5 days. The last fall shattered his hip, an injury he never recovered from. In fact, he died less than six weeks later. The nursing home who sent him told us this was a good place for his treatment and had an excellent Doctor. We saw NONE of that. We weren't even allowed to see my dad while he was in treatment. We were only allowed to call, and in those calls we received very limited information. We honestly don't know exactly how my dad fell. The nurse told us they didn't know. (What?) After the third fall, we were able to come and get him. They called us and said he fell again, and this time they thought he injured his hip. When we got there, I couldn't believe it. He looked he had been beaten. His face was almost unrecognizable. He had a huge bump on his head about the size of a baseball. In fact, the next day at the hospital when the hip surgeon saw it, he looked at me and asked, "What in the hell happened to this poor man?" We NEVER received an explanation for exactly what happened to my dad. There was never any follow up to see if my dad was OK. He died five weeks after his hip surgery. Believe me, all the negative reviews on this place are true. How Allegiance Behavioral Health is still in business is beyond my understanding.
