Donating! Be Aware and Read This. After getting hit by Harvey and Flood, requested Houston Family to help and started the process almost 4 months ago. SO far, I have received $0.00 assistance. We started the INTAKE process, provided all documents and then no actions were taken for month by Family Houston (Laura). I complained and the case was assigned to another person and it moved a bit further and then stopped for weeks. I complained again and they requested for more documents, I provided all they requested and then process stopped. Again this week, I complained this week and go a called from Desmond (I think). His tone didn\'t sound like he was calling to help, he was demanding and rude. He asked me to RESTRART the INTAKE process and meet him in the office, I refused because I was already there a couple of times and had already done the INTAKE twice. Please stop playing with peoples emotions, don\'t help if you can\'t but no reason to play dirty games. 7-11-2018 3:23pm I received a call from Attack Poverty. She was told by Family Houston that I refused to work with Family Houston and requested for another agency to help. This is absolutely not true, I have never told Family Houston that I did not want to work with them and never requested for another agency to help. Family Houston called me about two weeks ago after seeing my negative post and then she had someone called me from another agency who wanted me to go through the entire INTAKE process over again which I refused to do so, that person was demanding, not the helping.
