I was treated here 2 years ago with my little sister. There is a case still going on from December 2017 to now with my little sister. In an unshared video two of the staff here abused my little sister. They pulled her hair and would shove her around. The shed near the back field and barn is where very many of them do drugs such as marijuana and cocaine. I was only 12 and my sister 10 at the time. I shouldn’t know about this type of stuff. They separated my sister and I between two cottages before I was sent to a different placement. My anxiety built and I got my hair shaved there. There were riots every Sunday because many of us didn’t want to go to school or were satanists. EVERY Sunday I joined in those riots. Why? Because it was my chance to be free. We had no freedom. So we made our own.

I came to New Life when I was 16. It’s been almost 4 years now since I’ve completed the program. It was a great experience! My one to one therapy with Aaron were helpful. To this day, no therapist is as great as Aaron! Everything I’ve learned here has followed me through my adulthood. Now I’m graduating with my B.S.N. in the next year. There are a few strict rules and phone calls only once a week took a toll on me because family plays a huge impact on children’s development. Bob helped all of the girls in the cottages to go out on outing. I can remember when we would go to the movie theater in the nearby town. We would go shopping. The environment is awesome too! There are therapy horses. Girls, would feed the horse etc,. This place helped changed my whole life around. I was down a dangerous/ destructive pathway. My family could immediately tell a difference in my behavior.

New life isn\'t half of what these reviews say . and when there is hype, IT\'S BECAUSE OF THE GIRLS . The staff helped me soooo much there . I changed alot and coped with so much I wouldnt have been able to alone . I caught up in school and even did some higher level credits . participated in basketball, I am strong, and the barn team . The experience is only going to be as bad as YOU want it to be . ( and I jumped over the fence my first month there so yes, I do know ) If I really have to say anything bad about it, it\'s the fact that there is so many crazy girls doing things for attention and acting out .
