The reviews on this place or obviously fake. Anyone who writes this is a five star definitely didn’t go there. My father just left there after a week. He has dementia and was put in there to be evaluated. One of the two times a week we are allowed to visit him he was so sedated he could barely stand up or talk. When I left I ask one of the nurses to take good care of him, she winked at me and said oh honey we will he’s a sweetheart. We got a call the next day saying he had just left the emergency room from having seven stitches stitches put in his head. He was so doped up that he couldn’t walk or talk and he was crying the whole time and wouldn’t let anyone touch him which is completely unlike him. There is obviously abuse taking place at this hospital. We will be pursuing legal action and karma is real. All they do is dope their patients up so they don’t have to take care of them and they do not take care of them. I love my father very much and they have abused a very wonderful man.

This place sucks! They charge you $10000 a week. In do not give you the help that you need! The communication With the doctor there is none. They tell you that you need to communicate. But the doctor does not communicate and inform important information or any information to the ones that need it… When I was there it was like a prison it was hell. I will be contacting the VA. and my lawyer and seen what my rights are and see what Justice I can get.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was unwillingly admitted by my physician because the antidepressants I was on was giving me mood swings and suicidal thoughts, never had the thoughts until the medication so I went to me physician to see if we can change the brand or the dosage. Instead he took me to St.Thomas, he told me I needed to talk to a psychiatrist I am thinking that's why I am here to get a professional about mental illness to advise him what brand or dosage would best fit me... nope. He left me at St. Thomas they took my belongings and made me change clothes. I don't know whats going on and nobody is talking to me, 6 hours later they tell me I am being admitted into TrustPoint, at this point I am confused because of the word 'admitted' for what? they strap me to the bed for 'my own safety' and have me admitted. I told the social worker when I got there this was a mistake. I am a 21 year old out of state college student I haven't even talked to my family because they took my phone 7 hours ago. They put me in the psych ward and said they would transfer me to the depression ward in the morning. I was in there with people that had serious issues I was scared I was shaking and crying because I didn't understand why I was here. Finally at 11:30 at night they let me call my parents in OHIO. They didn't know what was going on my mom was sobbing, I never hear my mom cry unless at funerals and that has been once. She didn't know why I was there either, she knows I am on anti-depressants for my depression, I talk to her everyday she knows I am not crazy. My family called every 5 minutes to get me out. I talked to 3 social workers, 2 nurses and a somebody that told me my physician went to far in this situation... okay? can I go home. They said I couldn't leave until I talk to the psychiatrist, mind you I am still in the psych ward. They told my mom, not me, that they have to hold me for 72 hours and I am not allowed visitors. Very extreme I never hurt myself or anybody else. My mom threatened to call the police and get on the next flight down here and bring a lawyer to get me out. I had family IN THE BUILDING trying to get me out or see me. I didn't get out until 3:30 p.m. after talking to the psychiatrist and she had me sign paperwork saying I came in voluntarily and if I didn't then they would have to keep me for 72 hours then they have the audacity to bill me for my like 15 hour stay. I didn't eat there food, I didn't get my anti-depressant what are you billing me for. They told me for a 7 day stay it's +$2,000 and billed me $1,000 for a 15 hour stay, are you serious? I didn't ask to be here. This place is a joke, I am honestly traumatized I never been to a mental hospital and the first place they put me is the psych ward until they had a bed available in the depression ward. TF? they need to be such down honestly doing more harm than good.

DO NOT GO HERE. It took over 48 hours after admitting me for the doctor to even see me. The social worker did not even schedule an outpatient follow up on my discharge. She was supposed to hear back from the therapist she supposedly called and get back to me, and had not done that it's been over a week. During billing they 7 days and charged for it when I was there for only 4 days actually. When I pointed out, they corrected it. Patients constipate because there is NO FIBER in the food they provide. only thing that was good was NURSES. Nurses are good people.

I just spent 6 days on the ADU ward at TrustPoint. I was in desperate need of help for severe depression & they gave it to me. Yes it was a lockdown unit & phone calls & visitation was limited, but that’s actually what I needed. I needed to help myself get better & my family had already tried to help & couldn’t. I loved the staff & Dr. Matthews was the best. If I needed to go back anywhere for help, I would go back there!! They totally understood what I was going through & did everything they could to help me get better!!

I’m adding to a previous comment. Not only was there zero communication. Not once did they call to discuss my family member just one call to make sure he had a safe place to come to .....he did. Today he tried to commit suicide. I hope this place gets shut down

On the mental side....this place was such a big blessing from God to us. I wish my mom could stay for-ever there. I wish I could work there. They are the best people and caring ever. I have been able to sleep the whole time my mom's been there and not worry. I really hope they build more of these..thank you Trust point and God bless...

This is the WORST mental facility in Murfreesboro. They are so unprofessional and unorganized. The staff is horrible and they lie. The Supervisor told my visitor I was in the shower when I was in my room. She tried to cut my phone time due to them being busy. This place is horrible and not worth time or money. They will lie and treat the patients without respect. Don’t go here!

My wife was admitted un willing and unknowingly. Because how they did it we have no say in when she comes home. Staff don't know what's going on. Each person you ask will tell you something different. They don't let you visit unless they say. They'll tell you can call and talk to the patient any time, until you call to talk to them and they tell you it's not in the allowed time to talk, and you can only talk for 10 minutes because there's only one phone on a floor and has to be shared with all the other patients. My wife hated it there, we never should have let her go. They don't really even treat anyone. The doctor spends about an hour a day walking through and talking to all the patients, then they just put them in a room and after a while bring them out to have group time with other patients. Worthless care. Definitely not helping my wife at all. She'll probably have more to deal with after being here than before!

If I could give this disgrace of a "mental health facility" less than one star, I would. Their intake supervisor Susan, shouldn't be in the field at ALL. She treats patients like dogs. "Sit in the chair. Stay." They aren't supposed to turn people away, but they do. Just cut to the chase and call a crisis hotline. Because these people will NOT help you.

The staff, truly, advocate for the improvement of your, mental, state by designing the care to fit your needs. I was a patient at TrustPoint Hospital and while I was there I noticed that I spoke to Medical Professionals about my condition on a regular basis because they made themselves available to me regularly. I enjoyed participating in Group Therapy 3-4 times per day and I felt that this was a major part of my healing. I was fortunate to have a portion of my bill covered by charity and this truly blessed me as I was not able to work during my, extended, stay. The staff, even, allowed us to conduct a church service on Sunday and to pray regularly in small groups. I would recommend this hospital to others experiencing Mental Illness.

I recently left this facility and I have a few things to say about it. First Rosemary is WONDERFUL to say the least, she actually listened to me and helped me with what was actually going on with me and what my real problem was, not what everyone assumed was my problem. The place was nasty and whoever is in charge of the janitorial service is doing a piss poor job. As a State janitorial inspector for 12 years I can say this without any hesitation, I know what I'm talking about, they would be reprimanded if not dismissed from their duties. The Dr there was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was A+ all the way that's Dr. Matthew, absolutely gifted in his field. The biggest problem by far was the scheduling, long wait times between group meetings, meals, and especially distribututing medications. The patients shouldn't be put on hold to wait on medicine of all things. Last but not least, it's very cold there and not everyone is going thru menopause.Thank you. Stephanie Brewer.

I wouldn't give that if I didn't have too. This place is the absolute worse. I have NEVER known of a psyche facility that has ZERO communication with the family. No plan of care at discharge.. I did not speak to a single person as to what plan should be. They only care if there is a place for patient to come home to... that's it.. Oh and to make sure you pay .

The one star is being way too generous, but it would not let me put anything less! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take your loved senior family member to this hospital! My mother was just released after a three and a half week stay, and she came out WORSE than when we admitted her! She is worse mentally and physically! She walked in there over three weeks ago and now can barely walk with the aid of a walker. There is NO communication between the doctors, social workers and families. We had to leave angry voice mail messages just for them to set up a family meeting so we could find out how they were treating our mother, and that was after being there for two weeks! AND...my mother wore the same clothes for at least five days in a row! After asking about where her other clothes were, we come back to visit the next time to find she's wearing someone else's clothes! The doctors and social workers obviously do not spend much time with the patients because they deemed our mother capable of making her own medical decisions, even though she couldnt remember from the times we talked to her on the phone in the morning until the times we talked to her at night, what we had discussed. Needless to say, we are still searching for appropriate mental AND physical care for our mother.

My father was a patient at this facility. After only a few days he became severely dehydrated and had to be sent to the hospital. Apparently this is a known issue as they have signs reminding staff to keep patients hydrated. Additionally we were told they have a hydration program in place to make sure patients are given fluids every two hours. This makes me wonder where the breakdown occurred. During another visit my father had a Do Not Resuscitate band on his wrist against both his wishes and his doctor's directive. When we asked about this the charge nurse stated that another patient must have put it on him. It was on so tight we could not remove it so it had to be cut off -- simply not possible to be slid on or off by another patient! During his entire stay he was heavily (over) medicated and in a "zombie-like" condition. He ended up staying there for over 4 weeks and was worse off when he left than when he arrived. Like all medical facilities you have some absolutely wonderful staff members that truly care and those that do the minimum requirements of their job. The social worker and several staff members unfortunately fell into the lesser category. I would strongly recommend AGAINST this facility for any elderly family member.

I am absolutely astonished at the reviews I've read!!! Years ago, after our only child & Daughter married then died months afterwards, My wife had experienced a symilar need to have help. I've had many many friends and patients tell me of thier experience at other hospitals. Believe me my experience at TrustPoint Hospital was not in anyways like Thiers!!! I found almost ALL the Doctors, staff & even the cleaning staff most Compassionate EVER!!!! NO ..i didn't want to be there at first. Perhaps just perhaps i wanted to get well so truly much that my willingness to "co-operate" and drink up as much as I could....pe perhaps this is what really made the difference. I only pray that if i need to return...i will be able to only return to TrustPoint !!!! God bless you ALL!!

I would not recommend this facility for older adult psychiatric care. From what we experienced, the older adults are "herded" into one room with a television and watched by a nurse. I was expecting my mom to have intensive one-on-one therapy, but she says that never happened. I explained that she had severe social anxiety and would not benefit from being in a room full of strangers, but they said she couldn't stay in her room. She wasn't placed on any different meds than what she went in with, except that they shot her up with a strong sedative that rendered her unconscious for a day and a half. I had to point out that if someone slept for that long they would be dehydrated, and only at my request was she hooked up to an IV. I was never contacted by her doctor to discuss a care plan, only by a social worker. I had to routinely remind the nurses to put mom's glasses on her, and mom said she never had her glasses on the whole time she was there. They even lost her glasses and a few of her outfits and we never got them back. She came out worse than she went in. It seemed like they just kept her until her Medicare days were up and then discharged her. I hope others have had better experiences.

This is a crooked hospital that holds patients hostage. They do not communicate with family members. They only have 3 separate one-hour visitation times, that are not honored. Someone needs to sue these people!!

I would not recommend committing oneself to the inpatient program at this place. Doctors and social workers-who have direct control over your treatment and discharge- are hardly ever seen or able to be talked to by patient. And when you do get to see them, they are very shady and sketchy about telling you exactly what's going on from their end with your treatment. if you've never been in this type of hospital, then you would have no idea what to ask them, and therefore, would have no idea when you might get discharged or how much the stay-voluntary or involuntary-is going to cost you. my inpatient stay here was involuntary, and though none of the staff treated me poorly, i felt and still feel VERY DAMAGED from this inpatient experience. More depressed, more anxious, and completely lacking trust in doctors.

I received great care by the Fantastic Staff on the ADU Unit, However someone on the 3rd Floor Staff where I spent 11/2 very long days didn't make sure that my property was transferred with me and my PURSE WAS STOLEN! along with a gift card and other personal property. I was FURIOUS and since my release I have NOT heard from ANYONE in Management at the Hospital, I requested to speak to the CEO and was denied and this person has YET to contact me regarding the THEFT of my property ! Poor Management in my Opinion. The REALLY sad part of this is the patients on the 3 rd floor are VERY mentally ill and don't have the cognitive ability to know what they came in with and I would guess this type of THEFT has happened many times over without anyone even noticing and to me that is unconscionable!

I was just in there and most of the staff was nice. I did not not agree with the breakfast being brought and sitting for a hour and a half sometime s two hours before we could eat it, in the morning then it didn't taste so good. It really isn't that bad as the reviews make it out to be. however, this place barely helped me when i was admitted. i was admitted to the adolescent unit at the hospital, the techs and nurses were amazing. however, the kids and the activities they had us were more triggering than when i was just at home. one of the kids had severe behavioural issues, and would get mad to the point of screaming, throwing, and punching everyday. i was nervous to just be there.

Thursday 5:30pm Feb 24-Saturday Feb 26, 2022 4pm My teenage daughter was transferred here because she was extremely depressed and having suicidal thoughts. From being bullied by a teacher and her peers for nearly a year…..she has never been a trouble maker or in any kind of trouble. During intake I explained all this to the nurse and even told the nurse that my daughter had an auditory processing disorder and was to be evaluated for Asperger's soon, she acted concerned…turns out not at all! Both myself and daughter asked alot of questions during the intake process...I was told she would get intense 1 on 1 therapy…that is a complete lie they only do group therapy which consist of about 30 minutes doing a single worksheet and sharing which was only done once and on the 3rd day she was there…the rest of the time the patients are in the day room coloring like 5 yr olds or locked in their rooms twice a day for 3 hrs at a time….They call it reflection time….when is the last time a child obsessing over suicide needed 6hrs a day to obses even more….was told to provide meds from home, which they never gave her and had to go back 2 different times to find them when I picked her up…was told to provide her special toothpaste…was never given to her nor was she allowed to brush her teeth until Saturday her last day there and it wasn't returned when I picked her up…was told to bring her more approved clothes the next day these were dropped of at 10am Friday and nurse confirmed she had them when she called me later that day asking if they could give my daughter meds (which take 6 to 8 weeks to get in her system) these were never given to her so she went 2 days in same clothes…. As the intake nurse took my daughter in the elevator she laughed at my daughter and told her "well I guess you are pretty pissed to be here huh"..seriously this nurse is no better than the teacher that bullied my child, how unprofessional and inappropriate….Her first night there she was put in a room where a patient had just left. The bed she was told to sleep in still had the sheets and blanket from the previous patient…when she asked for clean bedding she was refused. She was to be "in line of sight" the first night yet she was left unattended for over 2 hrs in a hallway on a mattress at night where another patient was cutting herself, with no one to stop her. I was told by the intake nurse they do hygiene twice a day…again not true they only do that at night…so no shower, deodorant, or brushing teeth in the mornings. And when my daughter was allowed to shower she was given DOG SHAMPOO to wash her hair and body with. I was told she would be given a menu to pick what she wanted to eat…didn't happen…and was threatened that if she didn't eat they could make her stay longer. She was threatened that if she didn't share in group they could make her stay longer…nurses told my daughter that they say how long they stay, not the parents. During day room time Friday a 12 yr old boy was saying vulgar sexual slurs towards my daughter and the nurses did nothing to remove him or her from the situation, so my daughter threathen to hit him if he didn't stop so she got in trouble. When I spoke to the nurse Saturday after my daughter had called and asked why she still didn't have her clothes and why she hadn't received 1 on 1 therapy she said she wouldn't not be getting that type therapy here and she was short staffed and hadn't been there for 2 days but sure why she didn't have her clothes….I said you do what you need to I am on my way to get my child….when I hung up the phone she told my daughter you are going home and when my daughter asked ok why….she was told bc of what you told your mom on the phone….like it was my daughters fault they didn't do their jobs…the nurse called me back and said if I would leave my child there til Monday she could be discharged….but if I picked her up I would not be getting any prescriptions or follow-up care and my insurance would not pay for the time she was there.…I asked her why and the hell would I leave her somewhere that has done nothing but lie to me.…when I got there to pick my daughter up she hugged me and said mama they lied to us so bad, everything they said to us was a lie! Please don't take your children here! I am traumatized and don't know how I will ever forgive myself for what they have done to my child and others. I have spoken with the hospital and even though they say they are looking into this, I looked at past reviews and this seems to be common practice for them….and they had the nerve to call me yesterday as ask how I would be paying my bill…I told them I was contesting the bill and would not be paying a dime...they could stick it where the sun don't shine….I beg you if your child is there now please go get them, they are not safe nor being provided for. They never asked for identification when I dropped my child off nor when I picked her up again the hospital just told me this is an ongoing problem and they are trusting that the patient being comfortable with the person means they are telling the truth…yet when I asked for her records I was required to provide a copy of my ID…..my daughter never even got a ID bracelet...I will be reporting….they should be shut down!

Called to admit my father for suicide ideologies. He quit his job and no longer has health insurance. Lady on the phone told me it's 1,000 a day, and if I can't pay upfront he doesn't get in. She told me IT IS BECAUSE HE QUIT HIS JOB HIS LIFE DOSENT MATTER. THEY SAID THAT TO ME.

My sister suffered with terribly depression. The first week she was there she was kept sedated so her mind could rest. Of course we weren’t able to speak with her during that time but the following 21 days we spoke with her every evening. And when she was discharged she was back to her old self. To say we were Thankful is an understatement. Unlike other issues where the body mends, Mental problems are difficult to treat. Meds that work on one patient may not work on another. Many factors enter in to mental care.

This has to be one of the WORST places I’ve ever encountered!! They DO NOT EVEN KNOW THE CEOs name!! Had to find it yFacebook!! If you don’t have issues when you get there YOU WILL!!!! Loved ones will also NOT VE ABLE TO REACH YOU!!! GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!! LITERALLY ANYWHERE IS BETTER!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to a DOG!! It’s only suitable for family members YOU DONT LIKE!! RUN FROM THIS PLACE!! Don’t WALK…. RUN!!!! ZERO STARS!! Actually a NEGATIVE 10 stars with a BIG emphasis on NEGATIVE!! TRUSTPOINT SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEIR IRRESPONSIBLE SELVES!! Should be No stars but of course FORCED by this site to give one!
