This place is the most horrable place it really deserves less that one star I've never been treated so poorly in my life. Don't Carrie the right meds . that you need I had to bring them from home because was not supply to me the first night . have asked for pain meds or something to help me sleep was not given them or my stool softener . I will never cone here again and if anyone says to me this is the hospital they are telling me to go to for treatment I'll hope there's another option. These people had me so upset the day of surgery with the lack of care I had to go into another surgery because I got a hemotoman. This place sucks ads

Completely insesnsative, moved to Tennessee and was told to avoid Blount Memorial! Should have listened. Some folks were wonderful but overall feeling is get em in, ship em out, they don't care what you say or feel just ship em out so they can bill you.

I was a patient on the psychiatric floor two years ago and had psychiatric issues where I heard voices. The voices told me to remove a place plate from the wall in my room and cut my wrist. I caught myself midstream and ran to the nursing station. Instead of caring for me, LEE ELLEN NARAMORE, M.D sent me to a psych ward and stamped psychotic on my file. Since then I have not heard any voices as my medications have stabilized. On three different accounts, I have reached out for help from Blount Memorial Hospital's psychiatric unit. The first time I was told that I was not allowed back on the unit. The second time, I had in writing from Blount Memorial's Transition Care Unit that I was to be transitioned to the Psych Unit and a bed was to be waiting, only to find the day I was transitioning after being in a coma for one month, LEE ELLEN NARAMORE, M.D said no, I would not be allowed on the unit. Today was the third time. I called the unit because I was having issues with anxiety and depression. James, the nice gentlemen who answered the phone stated that they had a bed for me. I told him that I had been there before and had been turned down and asked if it would be a problem. He stated no and to admit to the ER and they would triage me to Ashley who would come down and talk to me for admittance. After drawing my blood, giving me a covid test and collecting a urine sample, Dr. Hunter arrived to my room stating that he had spoken with LEE ELLEN NARAMORE, M.D and she stated that they once again had no beds for me. Even though I called and talked with James and once more on my way to the ER and told there was no issue. I let the Dr. know that this is clearly a display of patient discrimination that LEE ELLEN NARAMORE, M.D is displaying towards me. Doctor Hunter's hands were tied, Ashley refused to come down and talk to me and I was left with nothing but an overnight bag and wristband with nowhere to go. I have been a professional in the medical arena for over fifteen years now and never have I experienced such unprofessionalism from a doctor. I am shocked that Mayo Clinic supports putting their name behind such doctors who do not support their community and makes excuses as to why they cannot see patients. Blount Memorial was built by the people of Blount County for the people of Blount County. Ordinary, hard-working citizens made our community hospital a reality. A federal grant initiated the hospital building project, but the community doubled that amount to complete construction. This is not how the community wants to be treated. The people of Blount County, including myself deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, not to be turned down for treatment by Dr's such as LEE ELLEN NARAMORE, M.D who are only out for themselves and don't care about the overall well-being of others.
