My husband is currently there for the second time in 2019, not to the fault of the staff. My problem is this time it seems to be all about the money. His stay is for ninety days, he was told he had one more week in inpatient, then told the next day they were moving him to the other side, they needed his bed. Sounds like money is relevant here. Now that he's on the other side they have postponed his counseling sessions a number of times, I've talked to staff one time since he's been there this time, no family counseling so far but once. He's in a night time group with none of his peers and feels singled out and not a part of. Is there a problem over there? Why are his counseling appointments getting canceled so frequently? Does anyone care if he makes it? This is life and death, I know I've been sober 24 years and watch people die every day from this disease. Very concerned on what's going on over there. And by the way, I work until five and cannot speak to anyone there until after five or during lunch noon to one.

I remember being 16 and had to go to treatment at Cornerstone. I was there in the little strip mall type facility in the 90s. I owe my life to God and Cornerstone they changed my life for the better. I remember the 12 step program, Rockford meetings, group meetings, the love and support of the counselors. I still have my big book that everyone signed when I got out of treatment. The stay in their halfway house back then was something I really needed. I would recommend Cornerstone to anyone who needs help. In 2005 I went to work drunk as an Engineer on the railroad. I know insane as that was they sent me to Cornerstone for treatment. I was totally committed to getting well and from the start of the 28 day program to 9 months total I trusted the suggestions and therapeutic meetings I attended. It was hard nothing good comes easy I was very sick. 14 years sober and as long as I remain teachable it get better every day one day at a time.
