They have a lot going for them. There are several areas of improvement that are needed but overall out of the choices we have in the Carolinas I would choose New Hope First! I wish I personally had the ability to respond to some of these bad reviews. But since I don't, the one's from kids...use you judgement they mostly have Developmental Trauma or Reactive Attachment Disorder which allows for them to act in a certain way outside their home, charming and manipulative and triangulating. A good therapist can see right through it and therefore say the child is faking it. I have never seen mold or roaches but I wouldn't be surprised about roaches, as much as a building this size would try to combat such an issue they are in every large building with a cafeteria and I never hear my son say they were crawling on the walls, and trust me my son complains about everything! As for the staff, the kindest, warmest people I have ever interacted with at any facility and as the President of Attach Families I have visited several so I can get an idea about them to make recommendations for my Families. So the statements that staff are just there for the paycheck, I have never gotten that vibe. Please remember this is a PRTF, which means the children sent here have severe behaviors and the staff members couldn't possibly be paid enough to deal with what they deal with ever day. ???

Recently I have posted a nasty post about my job and i just wanted to say that I apologize for making those remarks due to me having a bad day that day and i apologize about that. Our company is a good place for your child to attend and they will get the treatment that they deserve. We have good therapist there that will give your child the proper therapy they need to help them to function well back into society. We have senior resident counselors and new staff that are there to talk to them and give them positive encouragement as well. They will be in good hands. Thank you and have a blessed day.

My son came to New Hope Treatment Center in Rock Hill SC to the LEAP Autism Program. It was an amazing program for my son and our entire family. LEAP is an ABA behavioral centered program. The BCBA’s and the entire staff are well trained and very knowledgeable. The staff has a positive uplifting attitude. They kept great data on his sleep, diet and behaviors. Our son was happy here . Every time we had an off campus visit he looked forward to returning back to New Hope. They have an accredited on site school, we had regular family/staff team meetings, my son called home every night and I got to see him weekly. I can’t thank LEAP enough for how many improvements they made in the life of our son.

I was in this group home as a teen. They lab ratted me, over medicated me, abused me mentally, emotionally, and physically, made fun of me, constantly punished me for something as simple as talking, stripped me of my humanity and human rights, tore me down, shot me up with Geodon as a tranquilizer, tortured me, brainwashed me, etc. This place will fuel your problems instead of really helping you get better while pointing the finger at you when you react to the abuse. They are pros at hiring mostly bullies. They live to break you into submission no matter how hard you try. I hope they shut it down. This place is more interested in the money they collect than they are in really helping you heal, grow, and feel better. It is a sick money scheme and they prey on children for God sake that are in a desperate need of love, patience, and understanding! It is the kind of nightmare you would expect to see in a horror film instead of real life. I had nightmares about that place for years after leaving. I was there for a year and 7 months. They made bank off of my insurance by milking it for alI it was worth. I finally left successfully on level 5 right before I turned 18 when they loved telling me they could keep me until I was 21. I have a voice, and it is time for me to be brave by writing this review in hopes it helps someone. If you were traumatized by New Hope or a place like it, my empathy is with you. You are NOT alone and you are NOT crazy. What they are doing is wrong.

This place treats their workers horrible ...its not safe place to work...if you are white your treated like minority.....especially you have a college degree threatening to other workers love to degrade you from.kids and rest of the staff.this place is a joke..someone going get hurt here.ver unprofessional!!! Human.resources pushes things under the rug..all.are cowards.

I left this facility a month ago. To any and all of the people hurt by this place I feel for you. They treat the staff horribly unless you like to talk shit about the other staff and residents. Treatment is outrageously hard due to staff being bullys, and the constant drama that they almost never solve unless someone is fighting which will give you a protocol for. Along with them not solving the drama they literally ask other residents for it! The night before I left multiple staff talked me into giving them all of the "tea" so they would know, not to solve, but to know and talk about at any hour of the night. Not to mention the drama the staff have alone, that they also talk about to and around residents. And of course when someone acts up every staff on the floor is on that end of the hall trying to solve it while the residents who aren't are left with one or no staff around. Good coverage would be useful. And the amount of residents that are literally helping other residents not sh or off themselves is complete bullshit. Some staff barely pay attention to you so when there someone in your room trying to get screws off of the wall, they are on a call with someone, on their phone, or just gone. The unit i was on ( safe harbor/transformations) was completely disgusting. The showers had mold and mushrooms growing all around, black stuff leaking from no where,and cockroaches. Not to mention you would find them in every corner you looked in. People stole your stuff, you don't come out with half of the stuff you came in with ( due to the fact that the item manual isn't up to date and straight up lies to you. The amount of stuff that was taken from me when I first got in because I wasn't allowed to have it was outrageous, mainly because I wasn't aware I couldn't have it. Staff are either oblivious, or right up your ass, constantly taunt you with protocols for anything you do, and always talk drama no matter what,when,or where it is. This place is disgusting and complete bullshit. So if you wanna stay there for months and get traumatized, lied to, beat up, and bullied be my guest. And don't even get me started on those caseworkers ( other than ms.nyja ingram) ( sorry if I spelled that wrong). You'll get told you'll be there for 30 days and maybe some change so you can discharge. Lies. I was told that, and I was there for almost 9 months. My caseworker wasted 3 months on a group home to then find out that they only took a certain age group. I mean you couldn't have spent 10 minutes looking at a website to make sure it was a good place instead of wasting 3 months of everyone's time? And the medication is complete bull. My father stated multiple times that he needed me to have enough meds when I went home. They promised 30 days worth and sent me home with the extra that was in the drug package. The therapy place they sent me home with started a month late and about 3 days ago I just got admitted. Then we had to go to the ER so I could get a refill on my medication! Fuck this place and everybody in it. Find someplace else Lisa because sending your child here will taunt them forever.
