This program is 28 days long. Morris Village really helps with addiction if you want the help. If you don't wanna be clean then don't waste a bed space that someone else could really use. The staff is wonderful and very concerned about your well being. Ms. Tammy is the best case manager she will do everything she possibly can to help you throughout your stay. She will get your appointments ready as soon as she has time as she is very busy. If you are suffering from heroin addiction and come to the program they will keep you as comfortable as possible on maintenance doses of suboxone the day you get in cottage 3. This is the only state facility that allows smoking so that's a plus. Everyday is filled with classes to give you tools to stay clean when you leave. You are required from 6:30-7:30 to attend an AA or NA meeting which isn't so bad. The speakers are always happy to be there to talk to you. Most of them do have very interesting stories about the past when their addiction was at its height and how they began recovery. All in all its a great program for those who WANT to work the program.

This place was a life saver I had fun times with all my friends and staff I highly recommend it to all of you who are were I once was great food and activities nice room to sleep in but most of all great treatment the staff care about your feelings and will go out of the way to help and because of them I now have 2 years clean and tomorrow is my birthday and my first one Clean and sober thanks Morriss Village you are remembered

A loved one of mine was forced to endure a daily lack of respect while he was already feeling despair. He was treated like a criminal rather than an individual in treatment. Activities were degrading and he witnessed the nursing staff in the main cottage engorging themselves during working hours in patients' quarters rather than during properly scheduled breaks in a staff lounge. He stated that he was often hungry because patients were served small meals that a dog would not eat. It breaks my heart that he and others were treated as though punished. This is not acceptable and this post will also be shared on pages that you will not have control over editing.

I have just recently left this facility for alcoholism & benzodiazepines use. Whilst initially sceptical due to these negative reviews. It ended up being one of the best things I could have ever done. The staff are fantastic, especially the case counselors, If you have a bad attitude and are just plain disrespectful and rude then they will respond to that negativity. The staff truly are all there to help you. It's not about the $$s for them. It has an amazing educational program, concentrating on relapse prevention, psychology therapy, family dynamics, health education and so much more, regarding getting clean and staying clean. The food is good, this is not an ala carte restaurant. The accommodations are really quite nice and very clean. Again this is no 5 star hotel or spa. It's a treatment facility. But I'll tell you, it changed my life. You get out of it what you put in. Don't blame the facility for your bad attitude and reluctance to grow and learn. This place can and does save lives.

i am sorry but this rehab is awful! i can't imagine people coming for first rehab and staying sober. i am sober but have been to other rehabs including state funded holmesview in easley,sc so much better. wish mv could get help from them!

My dad was court ordered to be at this facility. Within 4 days a case worker called and said he was being discharged for not wanting to participate in the program. First, if you are there to get help for drug or alcohol treatment I'm sure some people come in a little reluctant to receive treatment because most likely it was a loved one that put them there. Second, I called the probate court here in Dorchester county and they were outraged that morris village was trying to release him after only 4 days of being there. I called the probate court and was able to get him a little more time there. My dad is an alcoholic and suffers with extream PTSD and anxiety issues. He is a Vietnam vet. We thought having him committed would help with the alcohol issue. The staff was given his medications and list of when and how much he was to take upon check in and was made aware of his anxiety and PTSD issues. My dad was there for a little over a week when again we were told to he was being discharged. This time it came from a judge and the judge approved it because he felt my dad wasn't benefiting from the treatment... I'm very outraged at the condition of my dad when picking him up and plan to submit a complaint with whomever runs that place. They are not sensitive to the patient during the process of seeking treatment. What kind of facility let's their staff yell in the face of someone who has a sever case of PTSD?
