I have an excellent therapist but availability is extremely limited for both psychiatrists and therapists. However, I must say that the availability at True North is better than Wellspan. As many of us know, sadly the mental health system needs improvement.

I hate this place but it’s the only place I can go. They refuse to fill out any papers at all for any reason. The last “Dr”. I had didn’t take notes and couldn’t remember me from one visit to the next. I switched doctors this one is better. I still hate that I only get 15min with a med doctor, their always checking the time. I have been released from care multiple times with out me knowing it through no falt of my own and had to start over with a new therapist. The most frustrating thing I have heard at True North Is “We don’t fill out any papers, Where not in the business of telling people they are disabled, We are to get them on meds and move them on or back to work”. The disorder’s I have are Chronic, Life long problem’s. What does that mean for someone like me who won’t get better? Am I going to be discharged just because my disorder is life long? I called the place in Gettysburg and their just as bad they told me they filled there quota for state assistance patients and weren’t taking anymore. But if anyone ever questions what I have said here no one at these offices will remember saying them. It’s hard enough to have a mental or physical problem that isn’t obvious for everyone to SEE, add to that Dr offices who don’t really help and it ends up a mess

Bad Communication, released because of their error multiple times, Was told by multiple people, “We are not here to tell someone they are disabled, we are here to get you on meds and get you discharged”. What is a person with a permanent disability supposed to do keep being put with different therapist’s till the give up and say we can’t help so your discharged. Their refusal to fill out paperwork is VERY stressful and no one believes you when you say they won’t. Unfortunately this is the only place that takes state insurance so i’m stuck here.

I'm going there for drug counseling. They treat you like a human. Non-judgemental, caring people. They listened to my story and accessed my issue. They did it with care. Most importantly i didn't feel they were there to collect money. I was comfortable enough to open up completely with them. Christina is a great listener. I would recommend anyone with mental health issues or drug use to go here. You have to be willing to make the changes in your life, if so talk to them.

They are an in network provider for my insurance and I needed psychiatric help for meds and they refused to see me until I see one of their counselors see me and they did not have any currently accepting my insurance which is Blue Cross Blue Shield and will not accept a referral from another counselor. What a bunch of bs.

After a few weeks of waiting I went in for a first appointment in the Hanover office that was just clerical in nature. Next appointment to see a counselor was made and I was told it was at the Shrewsbury office. Went to the Shrewsbury office and was nastily told that the appointment was in Hanover. Tried to call to reschedule and no one answers the phone except the person in Shrewsbury who couldn’t help reschedule. Very disappointed, won’t be going back.

Only rated one star because couldn’t go lower. True north in general is horrible. Can’t get paperwork or pricing right. Scheduling is a issue every week. And then they have staff that don’t know how to handle or help people. Very upset with true north for keeping the junk people and losing the great professionals

I was having a minor mental health crisis and called the intake number for TrueNorth Wellness on Monday, 7/23/.2018 at approximately 5 pm. After 20 minutes on hold getting continuous recordings stating I was third in the cue, the phone rang and I was sent to a voicemail instructing me to leave my name and phone number and that someone would return my call within 24 hours (to give them the benefit of the doubt, they MIGHT have said 24-48 hours, but I am honestly uncertain). In any case, it is now Wednesday, 7/25/2018, and it is approaching 5 pm, or 48 hours after my call. I still have not heard a thing. How can I recommend a practice to be trustworthy or provide "wellness" if you cannot reach them or they will not return your call? Thank goodness I was not suicidal and was able to reach a reputable, caring, and efficient practice. I am very disappointed that such behavior exists when peoples' lives are on the line.

It's good to have a third party to talk to as in a counselor. They offer regular counseling, childrens counseling and play therapy, Mental health counseling, as well as drug and alcohol counseling. There is also 2 psychologists there as well.

I took a class here. The instructor was awesome, as were the people I took the class with. The $150 fee is a bit much though, I must say. The receptionists werent tol friendly and almost lost my reservation for the class after I paid, so if you have a class here, just make sure they have you in the class before it starts and bring your receipt with you the day the class starts. Other than that, everything was great.

Therapist got my diagnosis wrong and made it a personality disorder which I've never had. Dr sees you for a very brief amount of time, so you need to do a lot of research on your own. It's a good thing I'm pretty well informed about my illness and medications
