I went here for 4 yrs and then my doctor passed away an a new dr came in a women well a physicians assistant an mind u i was clean for 4 yrs was doing great graduated college was living my life clean an never felt better but as soon as that physicians assistant took over she switched my meds and tried to take over an changed everything and was discriminating against me an others you would think a patient that has been doing good for 4 yrs they would try to help so they dont go down the wrong path again well forget about it. So no they are a joke.

If I could give them a lower rating, I would. They are terrible here- from the counselors to the nursing staff. They don't care about people.They only care about charging your insurance. I was kicked out because they accused me of something that didn't happen (they said i brought in fake urine, and when I asked about the cameras, and even told the nurse she could come in the bathroom WITH me and watch they wouldn't give me a chance.) I was discharged without any kind of meeting, or anyone talking to the program director, (who was conveniently not in that day! of course), I got nothing! After being there for almost 3 years and never causing a problem or giving them a reason to even look at me twice, they discharged me with NO TAPER off of a dose of 130mgs ( I was on this dose for 2 YEARS!)!! In all seriousness I almost died. Methadone is a serious thing to come off of. What they did to me was criminal, and I only hope this won't ever happen to someone else, but I'm sure it probably happens all the time. They are inexperienced and are so horribly unprofessional its insane! They are going to end up seriously hurting or even killing someone who is trusting them to help treat the life threatening disease of addiction. Its like a revolving door there, as my best friend has been there for 3 years, and has had 6 different counselors! Lastly, the counselors like to tell everyone your private business so be careful what you say to these careless idiots. Nothing in this review was exaggerated. Addiction is a serious, serious disease and should be treated as such... SORRY THIS IS LONG, but I felt my story should be considered when making your decision to go there!

MedMark (formerly MedTech) is by far the best when dealing with the initial intake/admission process.They never seem to have a waiting list, especially 1 that has no estimate of the waiting period before they can take new intakes. They are also the only local clinic to my knowledge with such an uncomplicated and fast intake process.They do their best to get you an intake appt very quickly,usually within a couple days of your call, which is great because it gives an addict less time to change their mind about trying out the programs they offer. Depending on the program you enter into, its possible to be medicated the day of your first appt/intake appt, this is also great for a suffering addict. It appears that most of their counslers are genuinely caring and concerned for their patients well-being. Most of the nurses are polite and professional, however there are 1 or 2 that seem not to care for their positions. They can be/usually are rude and inconsiderate, which is very unprofessional, especially for a nurse in that type of setting where patients are at a time in their lives where people treating them negatively is the last thing they need to have to deal with. In my experience it seems that complying with the program is mostly based on the leniency of a patients counselor,more so than actual progress, however this isn't the policy of every counselor, as I said, its clear which ones are there because of their desire to help fix this huge addiction issue in our area. It can be frustrating when you're trying to schedule their required therapy/programming (which greatly differs from the requirements of other local clinics) when you're also trying to work and/or care for your family/children. They aren't the most understanding when it comes to serious and legit scheduling conflicts,however it seems that the patients with no responsibilities have less expected of them, which can be discouraging to those patients who are trying to balance a chaotic schedule and then have to add in the very set, specific, "required" therapy/groups.Im aware of the state laws, Im simply just mentioning that the majority of the patients who get "breaks"/"...its OK this times..." are those that seem not to have any actual realife commitments.To my knowledge, Medmark is the only local clinic that have methadone dosing hours 365 days/year.All of the other local clinics (RHJ, most if not all Pbg) are closed on most holidays,giving all patients (even brand new ones) take-home doses for those days.While I understand the entire process/concept of gaining privileges for take-home doses to ensure the health and safety of the patient, as welI as ensuring compliance with the regulations/rules;I think its very unfortunate for patients new to the program(especially those with children when talking about Christmas) to have to spend major holiday days like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter having to get up even earlier in the morning to rush to get there in the adjusted time frame. Also, for some patients during Christmas and Easter they have family visit who aren't familiar with their situation,and the holidays certainly aren't the time to discuss medication management of an addiction.So, I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of patients having to figure out a way to escape their homes on Christmas morning between 6-9am, while both trying to avoid a 20 questions game of their intended whereabouts, as well as probably trying to get back home before their children wake up to see what Santa brought.We all know that our kids (the younger they are = the less patient they are) seem to wake up the earliest on Christmas day out of the 365 mornings a year.Even those wonderful children who usually let you sleep in a little see up by 6-7am, so mom/dad has to try and fight the chaotic traffic both on the way there and back, as well as the insanity while at the clinic, because mostly everyone is in a mad rush for all of the above reasons. It would be a very big improvement for Medmark to close on at least the major holidays.Merry Christmas and Good Luck in your sobriety!

Stay away! ***They will not give you a prescription the day of your appointment*** you go to the appointment and then they tell you to come back three days later because the insurance company requires a TB test before you get a prescription. That is a lie. It’s just another way for them to bill your insurance company for more money.
