Some of the L and D staff have no bedside manner they dont answer questions when asked and are rude

The doctors and nurses on 3rd floor were great. A certain CMA had absolutely no bedside manner or professionalism. She spoke about things that were absolutely inappropriate for on the clock conversation as well as handed out business cards for her business while we were there. Acted like she knew more about the patient and the patients history than the people that care for her on a daily basis. Besides this one individual, I am impressed with the way everything else went!

So be careful of what you say to the ladies at the reception( where you sign in at) station. They are rude, and whisper things to the other receptionist about you, but she wasnt so good at it as the person (my fiance) she was helping heard her and he called her out and told what was actually true. Employees of Mercy hospital aren't as good as you would think they are. This shows by your first stop to sign in to have procedures done. Amazingly rude and extremely unprofessional. They mistake what someone says and whispers about you, I'm sure he's not been the first.

Our granddaughter had her tonsils removed yesterday, 11/16/18 under the excellent care of Dr. Landrum. We cannot say enough good to tell of our experience and excellent care she received. From Dr. Landrum to each and every nurse and anesthesiologist they were all amazing and made a very nervous 4 year old feel at ease and treated as tho she was the only patient at the hospital.

Had knee surgery there. Nurses and doctors were great, billing department was a nightmare. Won’t return calls, won’t submit money you’ve paid to insurance, just an all out nightmare. If you have another option take it because this place will make you pull your hair out.

Mom came in for migraine. She always has them and knows what works. Doctor and nurses don't listen and do what they want. Gave her Ketamin and had us leave the room. Come back in about 30min later crying her eyes out because it made migraine worse and had nightmares. We go to a doctor for help and she leaves crying. Why are you even a doctor or nurse if you're not going to listen and don't care. Trash.

Had my son there and the majority of the staff was wonderful! Only thing I'd mention is they should offer meals to the one(s) staying at the hospital helping you. Overall they made my experience very enjoyable.

Been here for almost four hours and no help at all and now people who came in after my daughter with simple issues are being seen before her. I ask and get told a charge nurse will talk to my daughter. She needs emergency medical help, even urgent care sent her here!!!

Brought my father-in-law to ER for bladder blockage. ER staff was very helpful. Ended up needing to go to cath-lab to have emergency procedure. While we were waiting in the ER - Chaplain John Burnett stopped by and prayed with us. Anna - Pre-OP nurse was very kind, and helpful. She let us know step by step what was happening. Urologist, Dr. Fuller was outstanding as well. He provided timely communication, skill and experience in a time of need. Misty the Post-OP nurse was gentle and kind. You could tell she really enjoyed serving the needs of others. Glad to have the Mercy Team near by.

Most of the staff had poor bedside manners and made my son and me very uncomfortable. They had no filter and was very unprofessional. There was only a cpuple of nurses I liked and treated us decent. We did not want to be in the ER and our circumstances I really did not like how we were treated. We were tramsferred to Childrens and they were so much better!

Great hospital . The staff was wonderful, I could not ask for better care. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. Dr.Lynch and Nurse Juanita took great care of my father.

Everytime we've had to go to Mercy, we've been given a misdiagnosis only to have another doctor elsewhere tell us that something was wrong. It's the closest hospital in the area which is why we HAVE to go in emergency situations, but with the length of time we ALWAYS have to wait along with the missed diagnosis I'd almost rather drive an hour or two away to just get the proper medical attention.

The ladies in the registration office are wonderful. The ER staff have to be desirable. Several times I've been in ER I've heard the staff making fun of the reasons various patients are there. I even heard them say that the person I came with was abusin the system. Really? I swear that they are there to help, not be made fun of or talked about. What about HIPPA?

The 1st thing you will notice is the receptionist at Front desk will barely make eye contact with you, youll feel like you are intruding on some huge medical facility that could be on the brink of developing the aids cure, only to find she's looking at her computer screen - like literally an awkward 20-30 seconds with your obvious presence in front of them and their refusal to acknowledge you. Just get outta here alrrady. Mmmmk maybe they're over worked.
