wonderful program, truly helped my son save his life. I will forever be grateful for the staff that work non stop to help our children. I felt at home while attending the meetings. I wouldn't recommend any other place besides dynamite.

I can not say enough about this program and what it has done for me and my family. I have spent years using drugs and have been in and out of program after program. After spending close to a hundred thousand dollars in rehab fees, I was left with nothing. They wouldn't even take my call because insurance ran out! This program taught me how to be a person again. I was given compassion and love by the staff as well as the members. The time I was given by the staff was truly amazing. The director took her time out of her day and spoke with me. In all the places I attended that never happened. I was given an opportunity and the time to change my behaviors and learn how to make better choices. They did not discharge me for my mistakes they worked with me so I learned from them. I wish everyone would get an opportunity to experience this program. I did end up leaving (I shouldn't have) and it was my biggest regret. I have taken everything they have taught me and I am no longer using drugs!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you....

So the director is anti-Semitic? Can hardly believe this was said since her children attended Jewish religious school and were Bat Mitzvah by a rabbi. Sounds like someone is a little disgruntled.

DYC is an amazing program. As a parent I have been involved with the program and have nothing but kind things to say. It is very disappointing to see negative comments anyone makes, when they are completely false. DYC is a community of families from all ethnic backgrounds and we all come together, to learn and lean on each other for support. I'm truly blessed to have so much support. The staff at DYC do this work from their hearts, and my son always says this is my second family. Thank You DYC!

This place helps some kids true, however the director is a RACIST and uses gestapo tactics to scare the young adults. The staff is afraid of the lady in charge, as a former staffer I watched director throw around negative remarks about several different ethnicities and even in front of a Spanish co-director who must suck up to the caucasian director, as she talks about even his people and the entire staff finds nothing wrong with this behavior, here is a quote from one staff meeting by this director "I'm German, those J_ws better not mess with me, I know how to use a oven" That is a despicable comment and one that was a joke at a roundtable staff meeting. Kids are kept away from the drug element upstate in a small dingy town in nowhereville NY, the still screw there they still do dumb sh_t and some do relapse, lots of kids graduate the 3 year program and never go back on the addiction which is great, many of the staff are ex-addicts... reformed they call themselves, I guess who knows drugs like former addicts.This a great place to work if your a K_ssa__!

This unfair and unsubstantiated BS review was either written by a parent - who heard it from their child - who is going through the program (and dealing with their own issues), flor from a member who is going through rehab. Either way - it’s nonsense.

The BEST Solution for Families and Young People Suffering with Addiction IF YOU AND YOUR CHILD ARE SUFFERING BECAUSE YOUR CHILD IS ADDICTED TO DRUGS - PLEASE READ THIS AND CHECK OUT DYC. I am a parent of a member. DYC saved my family. DYC understands that most young people do not suffer with drugs just due to the physical addiction. We are a FAMILY of members and parents who, come together and support each other. Once your young adult enters into this program - you become part of a supportive and understanding member-family. This is not an easy 30-days and out program. It's a life changing/saving program. The Member Families support each other, because we all know what it is to go through the torture of having a young adult, family member suffering with addiction. The Staff, Administration and Members/Families at DYC are the best. God Bless Them. Give yourself the greatest present possible - if you are suffering with drug addiction in the family - call DYC.

This program saved my life as well as countless others. Walking in at 18 years old… scared, resistant, worried about going to a “place like jail”, I decided to give myself a month away from the endless cycle of using drugs, getting money, and losing the most important people in my life. When I walked in, ready to put up my tough girl image and fight anyone that messed with me, the first person I saw ran up to me, smiled, and hugged me. This was the constant feeling of this place. People cared about me; without knowing who I was or where I came from, the members knew that we had similar struggles and that was enough for them to care so deeply about everyone in that place. After a month, I decided to stay a little while longer. This program gave me the opportunity, if I so chose, to have time away from everything bad and negative in my life. I chose again and again the positive people at DYC, the positive feelings I started to have towards myself, the pride of dealing with some of the hardest things I’ve had to face and not getting high. I have been to other programs where they call you a “patient”, most likely want to give you medication that you will stay on for a life time, and kick people out when your insurance cuts you off, I now am on no medication, and I am a proud completion of DYC. DYC never turns anyone away for financial reasons, and never kicks anyone out for insurance reasons. It’s hard to believe 5 years ago I was 18 years old in jail for shooting heroin and selling drugs. I have gained respect for myself, respect for others, independence, courage, sobriety, happiness, a full time job, an apartment, a fiancé, I now attend school, and countless other things. THIS PLACE IS MAGICAL AND WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART.

Our son has been there for nearly 7 months. We have seen so much positive change and development. The program focuses on time! An addict needs time to recover, heal and develop a tool box to go to when they re-enter back into the real world. Through individual and group sessions, academic offerings, work/nature therapy , supportive staff that balances honest, trust and tough love with accountability and responsibility. DYC has provided our son with hope for a bright future and our family with renew peace.

I went to DYC for about 10 months & I was in fear and stress most of my whole time there it honestly was the reason I wanted to relapse. The staff there are very moody and unprofessional. They basically make you work a “job function” which basically is just so the staff doesn’t have to do anything we do it .. This place has traumatized me to my core and I now have to go to therapy to deal with the emotional trama I endured from DYC.

If you want your child or young adult to succeed don't send them here a lot of games by staff vary unprofessional reminds me of a concentration camp for drug addicts. It's all a huge money grab they don't care about your kids

Kids work a job so staff don’t have to. Labor is used from young bodies and staff are abusive. Therapy is nonexistent unless you consider the director cursing out your child in front of the entire community therapy.
