This place is the worst. I went to the emergency room and received sutures for a hand laceration. I was advised that I could return to the ER in one week for FOLLOW UP care to have the sutures removed, so I did just that. A few weeks later, I was mailed copay charges for for 2 separate ER visits. I called to explain that the first visit was ER and that the second was follow-up care, and that the copays should not be the same. I was transferred about 5 separate times before speaking to someone who was actually competent. That person was ultimately no help, informing me there was nothing that could be done, and that I would be held fully liable for both charges. I felt that it was an underhanded and deceitful move on the part of the hospital staff encouraging me to return for "follow up "care when they knew I would be charged another expensive copay for an emergency room visit. Horrible experience, and I won't be returning. I recommend seeking medical care elsewhere.

The er is the worst !! I brought my relative here after she fell on street breaking her nose. From the entry , all staff had negative attitudes . An RN checked her in with nasty attitude to begin. She had ME wheel patient in to room. Then PA saw her . He was rather neutral with zero patient skills . When I waited for her during her CT scan, I smelled cigarette smoke . Yes , a patient was actually smoking a cigarette while waiting to be seen !! The staff never comes in to check so anything can occur. How dangerous to be smoking. The whole visit took 4 hours & they were not busy at the time . The ER is terrible. When I was seen in Chilton ER they were far superior . It seems like they hate their jobs & the patients as well. The CEO must be a very poor administrator . It's been a bad hospital for years but now WORSE .. my relative later returned to speak to patient care representative with ER Director in regard to bad treatment . They were to get back to her in few days but never followed through on that . No surprise because no one cares to do a decent job. It's one of worst hospitals in area . They need to get their act together because reputation is very poor indeed. These attitudes must come down from the top administration. It's always reflected in staff . Its also not a clean environment . Restroom was truly nasty with urine on floor & dirty . No towels in sight . One would never expect such a lowly place in Montclair / Glen Ridge area !

I was very sick with unknown headache and nasal congestion for a week until i came to this emergency room. I was very hesitant at first because of several previous bad experiences but this is the nearest to my house. I was taken cared of by this very compassionate Filipino Doctor Joel in the emergency room. He patiently listened to my complaints, explained his plans and updated me for every step and result. I was wearing my dirty and worn out pajama but Dr Joel treated me with respect like a VIP. He was very fast, calm and efficient amidst the line up of so many patients and other anxious patients that are waiting to be seen. Dr Joel totally changed my impression of that hospital for the best. I work as a CFO in one of the biggest firm in Wall street and I was very proud telling my colleague about my Emergency experience. I hope i will not get sick again to come back to the emergency room but if ever, I don't mind as long as ER Dr Joel will take care of me. I hope that hospital will recognize Dr Joel to be a great asset.

It's a waste of time. The groups always start late and they cover nonsense like drinking milk and wearing sunscreen for an hour. They cut you off if they don't like what your saying even if you need to say it. The therapists Seemed bored and offer little feedback or help. The second your upset their answer is to put you in the hospital. I didn't get any good advice or help just a lot of "go for a walk".I felt so much better when I was gone. Other patients were what helped me. Not the staff. Others were unhappy with the program too. I didn't get anything other than a few Facebook friends.

This hospital is overpriced for nothing. I checked in and sadly the doctor convinced me to stay saying that my situation looks bad. Remember I stayed for only one night and ended up with a bill of $24,000 luckily my insurance helped me out. This hospital doctors also charged their own separate bill. I will never go back to this hospital ever again. I warn you all not to go.

Not a fan of this hospital at all. I do like some of the staff members but it's chaotic every time I've been here. My doc refuses to let me go elsewhere unless I leave his care. Sounds good to me.

The ER at this hospital is a disaster. They are all lazy and have no sense of people skills. The doctor they had on staff seemed highly incompetent and did not take the time to explain or answer our questions. I feel like they find all the doctors that can't get other jobs. Worst experience ever. On top of that they said we had to go to radiology to pay for the X-ray and we waited in radiology for over an hour. Why can't this hospital staff be more helpful and not send their patients on a wild goose chase. Never going back here again even if my life depended on it.
