Possibly the worst facility I have ever seen as an Occupational Therapist working for over 20 years. Absolutely rudest personnel imaginable to family members. Unable to obtain medical records after months of daily phone calls and attempts, nursing staff and medical aides threatening patients when I was on site, no explanation to patients of general procedures regarding meals, location of where to obtain supplies for hygiene, where to get drinking water etc.. I saw a patent attempt to exercise their rights according to the patient rights handbook and was not only denied, but then had phone calls and other information withheld from them and then accosted by a hostile nurse for not being able to answer a question when the information had not been given. Countless falsifications of documentation, CPT billing codes, truly the list of offenses is never ending. A facility absolutely dedicated to preying on those in crises that should never be allowed to operate. Sad state of mental health care in the city of Omaha, state of Nebraska and poor reflection of CHI health overall.

I was a patient here for 6 days back in 2011. I was in a crisis state and there were upsides and downsides. I was suicidal, going through a bipolar episode of sorts. So all considered, the counselors and group therapy were very helpful. Accomodations were comfortable, food was adequate. However i was forced against my will to take medication that i did not want or need, and i dont think they took my medical history into account. Also i had issues with visitation, for example it took 2 days to allow my own parents to bring me a change of clothes, and even then they werent allowed in. They left a bag at the door. Also, not allowed outside, even with supervision. A daily walk would have been so much more beneficial than any amount of medication. All that said, i still consider the experience beneficial to me at the time.

BAD service, completely ruined my life, and ridiculous people. I was forced to get in her and I didn’t want to be. The security guards are awful as well. They have no idea what they’re doing. They do t give you a choice of getting in or out, you’re forced to get in. I didn’t want to be here. I was forced by a doctor who wrote a letter to the lawyer who then agreed with the doctor to get the sheriff to take me away from my house and live in embarrassment and humiliation. I did not like any treatment I got from the doctor, he was sick minded and needs to serve jail. He continuously tried to do tricks on me to take drugs I did not want to take btw YOU ARE FORCED TO TAKE PILLS OR INJECTIONS IF YOU DONT OBEY. And then I came back because I didn’t take any medications and my parents set me up for the police to take me, now I cannot trust my parents anymore, I cannot trust any of the doctors and will never in the future, Since my parents started all this first, they partnered up with my outpublic patient and then they started to restart the process again, and I rejected, so they forced injections on me, they were treating me very badly and I hope I don’t see any of the people I’ve interacted with inside lasting hope, none of them understand their purpose in the workforce, and I don’t know how I got (discharged) or released, i thought I would never because they FORCED me to take injections, and they hurt, they weren’t being nice, friendly, or encouraging, I was in a place where I felt fear and hopelessness, they have the expertise in truly destroying human life. They are the experts in depressing the someone’s life, there business needs to be shut down and taken into jail for all the actions they have done, they are embarrassing to me, the physicians over there are truly the worst people. They don’t know how to work, they don’t understand what every human has to go through in his her life and frankly I didn’t learn anything but trust issues from doctors, physicians and nurses, I will never visit a rehabilitation center again and I will never be seeking mental heath solutions from a physician doctor or nurse, I have learned absolutely nothing, and they have bad groups and doctors judge you if you’re being good or bad, they choose, not you, I never indeed to visit such a fearful depressing facility full of manipulating doctors and nurses, lasting hope is truly a depressing place to be in. Ever since I stepped foot in the place who FORCED me to get in the place two times by POLICE & DOCTOR my doctor was so bad, I decided to opt out of talking and remain silent in every time I visit my doctor, she thought she was “helping me” and I’ve learned that doctors physicians and nurses can be just as fraudulent as the tax scammers. I’ve learned no positive from this place, this place is no good for me I waited a long time to write a review, no stars if possible 5/5 thumbs down ? joke of a place. Bad environment, bad doctors, nurses, physicians, pharmacists, this place deserves to be shut down. Or needs to be major changes to staffing and policies. This lasting hope recovery center place is very very bad, I was FORCED to come into the place. If I hadn’t be forced I wouldn’t write this review! I wouldn’t visit this place! This place is so bad! If they delete this I will re-type.

Charged me $3,000.00 for a nights stay, I do heating and air, I could be staying in Hawaii for that!! Why would they charge that much for a bed and 4 plys of toilet paper, you wonder why people would commit suicide after being forced against my will to stay there, I'm embarrassed and feel robbed. The amount of malpractice and neglect here is sickening, keep in mind that this is a business with a business model and they aren’t here to cure any of your problems, their nothing more than slick talking drug dealers, they lie/exaggerate about patients in their records to make them look worse and then call you the liar, and they will intentionally push your buttons as well. If I never went there I would have avoided 3+ years of hell related to their “care plans”.

I was calling to visit a person. Everytime I would call they were the rudest facility. They would h as ng up on you, hang up without saying good bye, and one of the up front people actually said I dont know you would have to check back with someone that knows. No please no thank yous, no courtesy from the front desk. Customer Service is lacking . Just an FYI only 5 minutes away is Jennie Edmundson mental health and they aren't rude.

This place was recommended for my son who is a recovering addict and having horrible problems with major depression and anxiety. After reading the reviews from actual patients he won't be going to this facility. I also had a neighbor who was there 3 times that I know of, she's moved now and she had many mental behavioral problems. Didn't seem to help he either. Doesn't sound like a place I want a loved one.
