I really liked it there because I was actually abandoned by my father and they were very supportive to me and took good care of me. There was this one employee there and his name was Shawn and he really liked my artwork, he is funny, he talked to me, listen to what I had to say. He did that when I was there, so thank you very much I will never forget about you. ???? Also there was a woman and her name was Becky and she too was very supportive, loving, and caring. Thank you also very much, I also will never forget about you. ????

This review is from personal experience with the Adolescent Mental Health Program. This place is horrible! The nurses and techs don't care about you and the beds are hard as rocks. You have no privacy while taking a shower or using the restroom. The food is disgusting and they make you sleep on a chair in the hallway. They yell at you if you ask a simple question and respond with, "You should've known that already!" and, "Stop with the attitude." No one gets anything out of the Mental Health Program, if anything it makes you want to kill yourself more. If you get a little anxious they tie you down in restraints and jam a shot in your butt. The first day I got there I was sitting in the waiting room waiting to get checked and they pulled a poor girl out screaming in front of me, not a good first impression. I did have a nice view of Target out my window so I could watch all the "free" people, though.

The only good thing about that place was the tech Larry, he was wonderful. Went there last night for horrible pain from what I assume is a tooth infection (bad oral hygiene, long story). Again, Larry was great and managed to make me laugh through the pain. That's about it thoigh, the doctor I saw took a quick look at my teeth, and immediatley accused me of using meth!! I tried explaining that I have a dental appointment coming up and was hoping to get antibiotics and something for pain relief. He helped me with the antibiotics but told me to it take Ibuprofen foe the pain, which I already was and it is NOT workong. So long story short, I'm at home on Easter in intense pain praying the antibiotics start working soon. I will never go back there again

I’ve been sitting in the ER for 6 1/2 hours and have yet to see a Dr. This is the WORST hospital I’ve ever experienced. I can’t believe SSM Dr. Joy Stowell’s from Troy would refer anyone to this joke of a place!! It has now been 8 hrs sitting in a room with no TV and I’ve been told I won’t be seeing a Dr bcuz the psychology dept leaves at 4:30 and doesn’t visit the ER and I have to be admitted and see the Dr in the morning, I can’t leave. Why wasn’t I told this at 4:30? It is 9pm. Can anyone say Insurance padding?

Really Bad ASMR

I was hospitalized here against my will in November. The staff consistently lied about me to my parents, and about my parents to me. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. They also messed up my birth control even though i explained that they were administering it wrong. I was forced to sleep in a wooden upholstered chair that doesn’t recline, under bright lights for the week. Totally unorganized and a POS in general. Please go to center pointe.

UNBELIEVABLE! Horror experience with the way ssm psychiatric handles their referral and recommendation to Children's Division located in Troy, Missouri. Children division has always refused to accept ssm letter recommending my teenage daughter to be placed in a therapeutic health residential program, due to her several mental illnesses, she is a danger to herself and to me the parent, my daughter told me that children's division case worker talked to her about independent living and transition into living programs, my daughter is so ill and on top off it she is a minor, she is not capable of making decisions for herself, the adults professionals, and parents have to made the decisions for her. It is been a 10 year history of my daughter displaying mental illness and children's division and ssm Dr. Kahestah and personnel come together with a disgusting and stomach-turning and MONSTROUS decision.

SHOCKING! Psychiatrist dr. Kahestah adolescence unit made a letter recommending that our daughter be placed at residential care treatment center, we shared the information with children's division and Mcvey and Koester both social workers at children's division decided along with child neglect and review board to not place our daughter in psychiatric residential care treatment and placed me and my wife in the central registry, wish prevent my wife and I from working in hospitals, daycare etc. How disgusting are children's division and the missouri CARNB child neglect review board. Our daughter has 3 major documented mental illnesses, she has reactive attachment disorder, she has visual and audio hallucinations, she cuts/harm herself, she has anxiety, depression, she is bipolar, she is a danger to herself and to us the parents. We have been advised by children's division, by the high school counselor and off course ssm psychiatric adolescence unit psychiatrist and supervisors to hide every sharp object any object our daughter might use to harm herself or us the parents. How sickening and shocking is this behavior.

Worst place on mother earth! I couldn't be more irritated with this arrogant, ungodly, selfish, greedy useless place..My daughter is been admitted several times in two years in this place and every time we have ask about getting a recommendation from the psychiatric and supervisor to get my daughter to a residential program and everytime they deny doing this, they told me and my husband it should be no problem, however, once they got in touch with Children's Division in Troy, MO. CPS brainwashed this place supervisor and psychiatrist Dr. Saaid Khojasteh, MD, telling them we are not going to allow my daughter to get proper help from a residential treatment center. How offensive and outrageous is this! Just because we are in the process of reunification, my daughter is still in foster care, My daughter is completely mentally ill, and is out of control. Self harming, she cuts herself, lies, abuses technology and reaches adults strangers, have gender identity problems, do not want to listen at me the parent. Yes, we are always trapped with the disgusting decisions of ssm psychiatric and children division. God is watching all the sins you committing.

If you're looking for quality care for your child where they will inform you as to what is going on, choose another facility. I left for an hour during our 15 hour wait to see a physician and my sleeping child was moved into a chair into the hallway where they tried to assess him. Upon admission they have you sign several consent forms, I was only given one when I left. Then they gave my child meds, without my permission, which I only found out by my son. Then when I asked the staff they lied. I was told by two different staff members that no meds were given when they in fact were. When I called them out on it the "head nurse in charge" Jennifer laughed in my face and called security on me when I told her to get out of my face. She refused to go back to her unit. The crider caseworker from his school told me he has heard several complaints. They hotlined me to DFS, the caseworker stated she had an awful experience with the staff and they're known for this...dont waste your time here.

Absolutely terrible, trying to see my own brother and the receptionist told me its "to busy to visit him" even though there is about 9 cars total In front, and no one in the waiting room. Please consider a different hospital.

Staying at wentzville was terrible the behavior unit was not the best by far. Being on line of sight they have to watch everything they didn't give you any privacy witch didn't help. I deneyed medication because i dont believe in it also i dont want to rely on meds. But they still anyways wouldn't stop talking to me about it so i agreed only the smallest dosage pill and only half of it then they start giving me another which is really not okay i dont believe in medication and continuing to give someone medication after they deny it after a certain amount is not okay. I couldn't even use the bathroom or take a shower by myself and someone watching you is awkward. After i had got their i told the nurses specifically this place did not help last time and isnt help this time all they do is get into your business and cause a bill for staying there when nothing helps you in the end. Also you have to sleep in a chair in the hall and that is super uncomfortable and its super cold there. Also not being able to wear your own cloths was annoying wearing the paper scrubs is not the best expecially for several days. I got their wanting to leave and not wanting to be their and i left the same way.

This is the worse mental health facility to take your kid too or allow your kid to be taken too. The nurses are rude and don’t enjoy their job or working with kids. They don’t even act like they want to be there or even inform parents about what is going on this whole time you will never even see or talk to the nurses or psychiatrist unless you ask too even then it’ll be hours before one is able to talk to you. They will also hang up on you multiple times and no answer the phone during calling times. Being a mental health facility you think they would hire people who cared about working with kids, very rude people and just a sickening place that needs better rules and regulations. Only over 21 can visit therefore more than likely siblings are not allowed over insurance reasoning very inconvenient and sickening.

I have never been so disappointed in a medical setting in my life. The one thing that is suppose to make our country great is openness to diversity. This means that even if we disagree on politics or religion or which news channel to watch, we will not allow those disagreements to affect how we do our jobs. As a HVAC Service Technician I go into 150 homes a month. I deal with every attitude in the rainbow of attitudes. I can tell how a customer is going to behave within 5 seconds of the initial encounter. But one thing is a constant and that's how I will deal with each customer. I represent a company and that company pays for me do perform a job and the company does not pay me to judge how each customer treats me and then adjust my level of professionalism according to how I feel about the customer, or according to the customers race, religion or ethnicity. As a single divorced father with two daughters who went through a bad divorce and who's mother has become a full time drug addict, I sent my 16 year old very mild and sweet mannered daughter to SSM HEALTH in St. Joseph for Psychiatric help. I will refrain from going into details, but I will say that 2/3s of the medical staff I dealt with was as blatantly unprofessional and unkind, as I've ever seen in my entire 46 years on this Earth. They behaved as if it was an environment that it will go unpunished if they treat me as an African American with the utmost disrespect and racist attitudes as they could utterly muster from as deep within as possible. After expressing my concern about treatment with Becky the Team Supervisor, and then later on Beth on the evening shift, I soon realized also that a wall of solidarity existed in an attempt to prevent me from expressing my concerns to Administration and to the President, Michael Bauers.

The wait in the ER is long because the demand is high. If you need help with your mental health, just factor the long wait into the time commitment. The nurses and social workers were compassionate and helpful. This is really the best way to get treatment if you can't afford insurance and obviously it's imperative for emergency situations as well.

Slowest emergency EVER!! I am extremely upset that I have sat here for 7 long hours and still waiting!!! This is completely ridiculous!! I recommend going anywhere else but here! Also I would like to add the this is the 3rd time I have say here for hours upon hours. Today I asked where I could get coffee and the receptionist said the cafeteria has some. Maybe the 2 other times I sat there for multiple hours they could have mentioned there was a cafeteria I could get something to drink. Someone needs to address this issue asap!!

I’m giving this 3 stars because my experience with Dr. Khojasteh on the adolescent unit was excellent but my experience with Dr. Batula on the adult unit was very poor. He does not seem to care about his patients at all.

Was expedited through care without the care. The nurses were helpful but doctor Brian Boyd was careless, wouldn't listen to my symptoms, assumed he knew my problems before test were done. Test were done that had no way of actually finding the problem and I was immediately discharged and given a number to a random doctor who is not even specialized on the care I need. I have symptoms of stroke and the only info I was given was "Good News we didn't find anything." he reviewed a catscan for 2 min and told me it was probably migraines but should have actually made an appointment for an MRI. After telling me a catscan won't tell much about bleeding in the head and then retracting and saying it could but he didn't see any bleeding from the catscan. He did everything to get me out of his hair instead of truly trying to help me. Doctor Brian Boyd was lazy, incompetent, and sounded slightly slow. DO NOT expect a correct diagnosis

Okay okay so I went to this hostpital a couple months ago because of my mental health the nurses made me feel scared when I first got there when they checked my body I had a friend while i was there and she couldn't read so when we were playing games the lady doing group therapy was so mean to her like don't get all snappy at her she CANT EVEN READ it made me so mad everything else was good but half the nurses look like they wish to be somewhere else like they don't even care Mr.Kieth is amazing though

SSM Wentzville Outpatient Day Program Review. The Wentzville Day Program for the mentally ill is both futile, and appalling. I highly recommend not placing anyone within this program. The Day Program Staff treat the mentally ill as worthless, ignorant, petulant children. If you dare question the condescending and self righteousness staff, an immediate eviction from the program will follow. The food offered is heavily processed American fast food that is as cheap as the hospital can obtain. The SSM Outpatient Day Program serves the sole purpose of fleecing the tax payers through Medicare for every dime possible while offering useless and hostile therapies. Anyone who dares to question the attitudes and behavior of the present staff will be met with overt hostility and eviction from the program. I know that you want the best for you mentally ill loved one, but this is simply not a viable option.

I always had really good care. Dr.Khojasteh is the best doctor. Thanks to him he got my tardive dyskensia. All of the nurses and techs are great as well. The day groups are very beneficial when you choose to attend. I always got a lot out of them.
