I have worked here several times in the last 10 years. I love it. They treat their patients very well. They also treat the workers well, the pay is very good for my line of work, the benefits are quite nice, and they have several reward systems in place for employees who go above and beyond. I also appreciate that they have an exit interview system in which the employee may state what they would or would not change about the facility, showing that they know there is always room for improvement.

Stay away from their ER. My 2 year boy had a small cut on his eyebrow area(around 10 pm). Took him the ER. They put some medical glue over the cut. Was out of there in 45 mins. The bill came out $1900. If it’s not an absolute emergency don’t go there!

The most incompetent ER in the state. My Neuro warned me about this place a few years back and told me I needed to stay as far away from it as possible. He was right.98 percent of the doctors are rent a docs and that should say a lot there. Bedside manner in this ER is about as pleasant and professional as the county coroners office. The motto of this place is, World Class Health Care, Close To Home, well, my advice is to travel as far away from this place as you possibly can. Lots of HIPPA rules broken all day long and the staff seems to enjoy making fun of patients here as well. Rude, condescending and arrogant bunch working in this place. They need reported in so many areas. Stay away unless you have no other choice.

I just want to say this hospital should be shut down. If u wanna live dont go there. Worst of the worst as far as doctors and nurses. Their doctors can't even do a simple gall bladder removal without almost killing that person. Very scary and I strongly urge people to go to another hospital if possible. They don't even deserve the one star but have to to leave a review.

Came in for a kidney stone with pain at a 9/10. Got to sit in a waiting room for 40 minutes (so far at time of writing). No end in sight.

My best friend and I were brought in by ambulance from a bad motor vehicle accident last Monday. We were put into the WAITING room for FIVE AND A HALF HOURS before taken to an exam room. My best friend's vitals were checked ONCE in that whole time and they were not in the normal range. Not only is my friend diabetic and was in severe pain, we both shed broken glass all over that emergency waiting room. When she was finally wheeled back, the staff member said, "Sorry about your wait, people in ambulances take priority." I said, "REALLY? Cuz that's how we got here, 5 hours ago!" We spent over ten hours there, constantly getting bumped because their triage doesn't understand what they're doing!!! Please, God, never let me wreck near Rolla again!

Have my 2 yr old daughter a uti by trying to put it the wrong size cathader then sent us to children's hospital they forgot to s3nd her info there so they had to do another catheter at at louis. Then 2 weeks later they didn't even have her as the right damn patient

OBGYN told me to come in and get an ultrasound for profuse bleeding and severe cramps. I sat in the ER for THREE hours. I got into the back to sit for THREE more hours. Got a pelvic done and was told to GO HOME and he REFUSED to do the ultrasound the OBGYN wanted. This hospital isn’t worth the paper the bill is printed on.

Charged $8,000 for a 2 hour visit to the ER. This is outside of any reasonable bounds. After our visit we received a letter in the mail stating the balance due. They did not include an itemized bill justifying the charges, how much insurance paid on the account or any other details. I called the billing department and they have been rude and inflexible.

Excellent care. Went in through the ER with appendicitis & was in surgery within the hour! Staff was amazing!

Fiance went to emergency room with swollen jaw and lots of pain. Bp at time of arrival was 140/170 she was made to sit and wait for over 2 hours while nurses chased children to be seen that showed up afterwards. That apparently was no worse for the wear. Other people had to be tracked down to get therm in the back while my fiance was sitting in pain. This is insane and stupid. Er personnel is not a day care for children. Honestly what kind of care givers does this hospital employ? apparently good judgement is not required. Frankly a trained Monkey could provide better health care than the emergency rum staff right.

I had great care in the ER from doctors and nurses. When I had tests performed, the technicians were very good at explaining the procedure and what they were looking for. I was admitted and continued to receive excellent care from every staff member I encountered. It was a very scary situation health wise but I always felt well cared for and treated with upmost respect. I wish I could remember the names of staff so I could thank each and everyone. I highly recommend Phelps County community Hospital.

I had a great experience with my surgery. All the staff was so polite and knowledgeable. The recovery was quick and that was a large part due to education every step of the way from the staff. Excellent customer service, they really made me feel special. Big shout out to Christy pre-op RN, Cari post-op RN, and Dr. Harden for their great attitudes and smiles in all situations. They took the time to give me world-class care.

Not a good ER department whatsoever. And the billing is always overcharged. My bill for the RIGHT treatment for a kidney stone from a different hospital was 1/10th of what this hospital had charged. Highly NOT recommended.

Absolutely the worst E.R. I have ever been to. The wait is horrible, staff disregards patients concerns and questions. Staff doesn't care to improve or help with pain/discomfort. 5+ hours and not in the back yet. unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra hundred miles for better care. You will probably end up in St.Louis or Springfield anyways.

Didn't want to leave a star but I had to to leave comment your DR Holen is very rude unprofessional took my aunt there he said she only had a ear infection. Too be making her vomits fever body aches Well I took her to another hospital she was admitted with pneumonia This Dr was so rude the nurses felt bad they kept apologizing for the dr action I'm sure more ppl will die at that hospital with that worthless dr. We waited for 2 hours for X-ray. Then the nurse came in said its shift change he's sending you home will eat drops. No X-ray on her chest. Nothing he didn't treat her

I want to say a big thank you to the ER staff on the early morning of 2/13/14 (Laurie, Gavin, Dr. O and other staff I didn't get their names but everyone was awesome from the check in to the transfer to ICU). My husband came in with some horrible back pain and after the nurse reviewed vital signs and some other things that could've been another problem. My husband had some complications the Dr and staff I felt handle this situation very well.

Your emergency room is the worst er I have ever seen. People are literally left sitting for 4-6 hours, even when they come in on ambulance. We are better off choosing another er. What a shame!! No stars...it made me choose one to leave review. Zero stars.

Took my fiance there today to be seen for dizziness from some of his meds and his blood pressure was extremely low and they told him there was no rooms available so it would be hours before he would be seen and it also was do to him not having medicaid that they were making him wait to be seen til the very last. When he left because of it and called to leave a review about them the lady lied to her boss and said he cussed her out when he didn't and her boss transferred him to public safety. He called again and jennifer the boss lady answered and yelled at him saying that he cussed out her staff and she wasn't having it so she transferred him. But little did she know he recorded everything so now Monday he will be going to the main office.

They basically told me me because I don't have insurance I was last told me they had no rooms open but a buddy of mine was already in the back said there were at least 5 rooms open and little did they know I recorded everything calls and other they don't care about anyone
