Helped when I thought I was afraid of starting treatment they made it easier for me almost 100% satisfied EXCEPT since switching from in patient to out patient...I can't ever seem to get my medication on time and without it I go into withdrawal and I notice im not the only one having issues so if they could somehow get that more organized they would definitely be 100% satisfactory

I've been a client here for over a year. Yes it can be very busy and scheduling can get hectic at times, but the staff there are patient, helpful, caring, and overall amazing. I'm beyond thankful to have found this place.

This place is a scam. They make you sign a very shady contract and force you to agree to treatment that is unnecessary and ineffective. They have gotten in trouble with insurance companies on multiple occasions for their practices, but don't seem to care when you call them out on it in person. My girlfriend visited this place in hopes of renewing a prescription, but after waiting for almost three hours, she was told that she couldn't see an actual doctor the same day. She would be required to see a therapist first, and had to sign a legally binding contract stating that she agreed to exactly follow the treatment plan put together by the therapist. That may not sound so bad, but keep in mind that the therapist is NOT a licensed psychiatrist and could easily contradict an actual doctor's advice. This could be especially dangerous if the therapist decides to discontinue certain medications. On top of that, my girlfriend already has a therapist that she sees regularly, and her insurance will not pay for another one. The staff blew off both of these issues and insisted that she cooperate regardless, so we walked out. They called a few minutes later to ask where we went, as if we were at fault for refusing to cooperate with their shady practices. Also, they had signs all over the place stating that they do not and will never prescribe medicinal marijuana to any patients. That wasn't an issue for us, but it shows that the staff is particularly close-minded. I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere if you want honest and effective treatment.

Absolute last resort and then you are at their mercy. My daughter, who is an adult, was seen by a Psychiatric Nurse for continuing care of a complex mental health issue. On the first visit, before even meeting us, she had determined that all previous diagnoses were incorrect, that my daughter was not as ill as we said and that she was being enabled by me. She was rude and condescending. She basically accused us of lying and said my daughter would be better after 6 months of EMDR therapy. I was shocked. Previous therapists were hard pressed to “help” as my daughter’s insight into her condition was impacted. We asked for a doctor change and the doctor she saw refused to allow me to come to ANY appointments. My daughter had gone from being a fully functioning adult, with a job as an Application Developer to being unable to perform her previous job duties, or parent her child or make adult decisions without guidance. Her mental processing (executive functioning) and emotional state would fluctuate. Her reasoning and judgment were noticeably abnormal. She has had to move back home. The therapist she saw at CMH was great, (she is no longer there) but even she saw that they were not the right resources for my daughter’s condition. She saw the executive functioning and lack of insight issues that neither the nurse nor doctor would listen to, and which my daughter was not able to effectively communicate due to her lack of insight. The doctor/ nurse asked “Yes / No” and leading questions that would not really illuminate the issues that impacted my daughter’s ability to function effectively on a daily basis. But...they were “the Doctors” and “In Charge”, so what anyone else said was invalid to them. That was a year ago, and in spite of them telling us that I was part of the problem, we are now seeing neurological specialists who agree that the issues are real and they are conducting tests that have already found brain abnormalities. They LISTEN to me as they recognize my daughter’s mental processes are effected by whatever happened in her brain two years ago!~~~~~ Without me advocating for her we would not be where we are today.~~~~~ Mental health professionals can have what appear to be “God complexes” and if allowed to can and will stand in the way of some patients receiving the appropriate care they deserve. It is difficult enough emotionally, physically and mentally to have to deal with the illness, but having to FIGHT for the care needed is abusive and wrong. Thankfully, we now have doctors who care and really listen.

They do not return calls for appointments. never can speak with scheduling. They need to be evaluated on how they are handling and scheduling appointments. Poor response makes for poor patient care.

Very poor psychiatry. I saw a certain psychiatrist who treated me very poorly and never really listened to me. In fact, when I would try to explain an answer to a question he had asked me, he would interrupt me over and over and never let me finish. He also decided to randomly take me off all 3 of my psych meds that I was currently on at the time and had been on for several years, and put me on a *very new* and *very expensive* ($1500 for a 30 day supply) drug. I went ahead and did what Dr. Jaffrey ordered and ended up in Two Rivers Psych Hospital a month later. Clearly a very reckless move on his part. I wouldn't even suggest this place to an enemy. It's extremely sad what the mental health services are these days for people without top-notch insurance. As for the rest of what they offer, I can't say anything about. I've heard good things about the group therapy. Just beware of the psychiatrists they allow to practice here.

have been trying to call all day long and no one will answer the phones ever sometimes I call and they hang up immediately on me this is very very bad customer service no one in the whole building will answer the phone and I can't get appointments rescheduled and when I leave a voice mail no one calls I have to go up there every time to get anything done and I work nights and long hours to support and I don't always have time to just waltz up there so I can change my appointment for work or something else there is something wrong here and someone needs fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People there are horribal and rude have no respect for others personally think it should be shut down there spring house facility has bed bugs as do there facilitys. The staff at there places are rude and just sit any do nothing I am so disappointed in it if I cpuldni would give negative 5 stars

I would give no star if I could. The so called doctors are horrible. I first started going to Comprehensive last year because the place I was getting treatment could no longer see people outside their service area. I got lucky the nurse practitioner I saw was great. He specialized in psychiatry so he was able to do everything my previous psychiatrist did. Unfortunately he left Comprehensive in February. That is when the trouble started. Due to the great care Chinwe provided, I overlooked the shortcomings of the staff up front. They ignore you when you're standing at the glass and continue to do whatever they're doing without acknowledging you until you let it be known you're tired of being ignored. Whether it's talking with the other person at the desk or typing. The doctor I was changed to was horrible. He never once tried to put me at ease or find out anything about me. It was to be a 30 min appt so he could get to know me on the first visit. He didn't ask anything about me and just kept saying he didn't understand the meds I was on. All he had to do was read my file. It was obvious he hadn't. I questioned his credentials when he said my living situation had nothing to do with my mental health. I requested a transfer to another provider instead of just seeking care at another facility. Dr. Jaffri wasn't any better. In a lot of ways he was worse. Started off by asking me if I had seen anyone since Chinwe. Obviously he was into playing games. He's the medical director and when I put in a request to change providers it had to be approved. Then he wanted to know why I didn't like Dr. Chance. I feel he had already formed an opinion of me based on whatever Dr. Chance said. After that he tells me that he's not there to provide therapy. Duh. The thing is a psychiatrist is suppose to put a person at ease and do more than give you meds without knowing what's going on with you. I didn't ask for a therapist. I think it's important for a psychiatrist to know if you're being abused, feeling suicidal or homicidal, upset, etc and why before changing meds or writing a prescription. Needless to say I will be seeking care elsewhere.

Since they have done an employee sweep and gotten rid of the professionals, this place has gone downhill. They care more about turning a profit than the well being of their patients. If you can't come in to an appointment, they would rather see you go through medication withdrawals than to submit a refill until you can be seen next. It's unfortunate because I've been with this company for 3 years, but I will be seeing another provider.
