Dirty rooms (507) sheet was wet , cna caught attitude because she had to change sheets and gown. Food wasn't edible. Nurses rude, discussing social lives should be done in private. The only people that introduced themselves AIDET was housekeeping. Dr Alex Sheney could not understand. I A.M.A.'d out because the incompetence me being a former nurse I decided I'd get better care at home.4th floor make nurse was awesome very personable, professional. I wanted grape jello and he happily went and brought me some. Where on 5th floor I asked for tea I was answered with we don't have any. We all know it just takes a phone call to get some tea. Yes they would have to actually walk to get it from the cafeteria.. there was no AIDET from any nurse, couldn't tell you one from the other. But, what I can tell you from this experience. I will be taking my business to Mercy.

I’ve had several chances to visit the ER in the past month for ruling out possible heart problems and I received excellent care both times. The facilities are well cared for and modern. Testing was extensive and rapid. The doctors were knowledgeable and informative. The nurses were personable and capable. I think our local ER room is just where I want to be the next time I need help.

Had nasal surgery today under general anesthesia. Care was excellent from pre op, volunteer in surgery waiting room, prep nurses, anesthesiologists and Dr. Brawner. Only compliant was being called with surgery time late PM day before surgery. Needed to coordinate rides earlier than last minute

My roommate and I contacted cox health directconnect 2-18 for a virtual doctor visit by webcam. We both needed to be seen. The woman he talked to immediately said it was a virus and blew him off. She would not listen. She told him to buy something over-the-counter. I plead with her and again she would not listen.We have an upper respiratory infection (bacterial infection)that could have been treated with an antibiotic.I paid for the service for him.No wonder people are dying this winter, when health care providers tell you to suffer it out.Every sick person is not a virus! Some people have upper respiratory infections.This service is supposed to be for getting assistance from home, so you don't infect more people. My chest and ribs are tight. His hands were shaking/trembling. How dare this woman play with our life!!! How convenient there's no direct way to review this service!

The phlembotomists and some doctors seemed genuinely concerned for my state. Others blatantly disregarded my confidentiality and requests to not let certain people visit me. I had told them no. Don't let That person in. They still let them in. What happened to patient doctor protocol? Also I got accused of being on drugs and told you can't survive long. When my urologist couldn't be bothered to check what medications they gave me in the O/ER! Don't go here. My mother had her finger bitten off by a dog and the nurse NEVER changed her gloves.

I'm sitting here as I write this I came in with symptoms of a stroke and got my wrist bands and vitals done at 11:21 it is now 12:41am and I'm STILL sitting here waiting to go back, was told I'd go back when a room opened up yet when they open up their sliding doors I can see 3 dark empty rooms, in the meantime I've been watching two other ladies crying in serious pain one with a possible broken tailbone and the other one in a wheelchair holding her chest crying and they've both been sitting here just as long as I have yet all I see are receptionists walking around the desk eating... This is ridiculous I don't know if this is laziness or short staffed but this is going on almost a two hour wait for me and the lady sitting here crying STILL with her lower back possibly broken.. work on getting your ER AND STAFF UP TO SPEED AND CONCERNED!!! this is absolutely ridiculous treatment!! I'd like for the hospital administration and or the main honcho to view this because this isn't right and you know it.

I went to the ER after an injury to my right knee. I was in severe pain on a pain scale-9. I was put in a wheelchair & after a long wait in the lobby I was evulated by a nurse, then I waited a while longer and my knee was xrayed, then I was put in an exam room and waited forever to be seen by a nurse practitioner. My right knee had an inplant from a previous surgery. When the nurse practitioner finally came in to talk to me he said the inplant was fine & not broken. I was placed in a knee immobilizer & given crutches and told to keep the immobilizer on for 5 days. When I returned home I went to a local orthopedic physican, I not only had a fracture, I had a ruptured ligament. This diagnosis was made by looking at the xray that was taken at Cox Medical Center ER. I believe 2 things; 1) I was not crying or making a scene, therefore my injury was not taken seriously 2) whoever reads the xrays at that medical center needs a refresher course, or to go back to school. There could have been long lasting problems had I just taken the immobilizer off after 5 days & not gone to another physican. If you get hurt in Branson, Missouri, have them stabilize you & then send you somewhere else !!

After suffering severe chest and back pain I was rushed to the er with a bp of 280/190. My bp never runs over 80/60. The pain was severe! Was taken to xray and asked if I could be given contrast dye. I told them three times I was deathly allergic. They administered it anyway . Two minutes later with me screaming I was on fire and fighting to breathe I died on the table. Unresponsive, blue, loss of body functions. Was revived but in complete unexplainable pain. Was forced into basically solitary confinement after being told it might be tb or pneumonia they couldn’t tell. Dr then said I tested positive for meth. No. I take large doses of Benadryl everyday to combat chronic hives. Yes people it does that and then youre treated like a leper.!after two days of being treated like scum, harassed by the staff, nearly dying not once but twice because they were so busy searching my things and accusing me of everything under the sun instead of treating the pneumnia I actually had ( the tb was a lie to keep me from having visitors because they might smuggle in drugs!!)? I finally Ama’d myself at 3 am after theyed thoroughly sesrched my things and found no drugs, the nurses came in and demanded to know where i was hiding them!! They were so centered on this drug thing it was criminal! Ive seen people in their er so high they didn’t know where they were and they were treated almost humanely. I was treated like gutter trash. I am filing a law suit. I am home right now barely able to breathe fighting extreme pneumonia , only hoping I live thru the night. I wouldn’t take my cats droppings to Cox to be evaluated. God forbid it took Benadryl. Run run run! Do not collect 200$ just keep running until you find rational , caring, non judge mental, staff. What you get at Cox are ghestapo
