Hey, Milcreek. A month ago, my husband had an interview with you about a behavioral specialist job. You said the job was as good as his. He calls you back and you say you had to set up orientation. He calls yesterday: orientation is Monday. Then we get a call saying you rescind the offer because of a stupid misdemeanor arrest that was years old and never convicted. When he turned in the background check, you said as long it wasn’t a felony, it was ok. Why don’t you put up: “Anyone who has a arrest that did NOT result in a conviction don’t bother applying because you still won’t get the job.”

The most unprofessional mental health facilities I have ever seen. I am a nurse and was consistently flabbergasted by their methods. They treat mostly adolescent behavior but aren’t much better than youth detention center. Therapist are lacking on skill and knowledge and never follow up on issues. You have to chase down therapist, never return voicemails, maybe after 5-8 over 3-4 days. If I cared for my patients in the manner they do, I would have 100% mortality rate. Always short of ancillary staff and treatment consists of punitive punishment more than therapeutic intervention. Don’t send any of you friends, family or loved ones to ‘this Detention facility. Oh, and they really seem to discourage family interaction.

Worst place ever! My daughter was an inpatient care and she called me and told me that she upset and that the staff was mean and throwing her against the bed and that they cuss out kids and are mean so I went up there and pulled her out of there and when we got home she showed me bruises all over her upper legs and arms, neck, and even a sprained wrist!!! And not one call from them. They never return calls, don't do zoom meetings or family meetings with me like they was supposed to do. Do not send your kids to this place. These kids don't deserve to be treated like this! And when I tried to file a report they said they would have someone call me. Its been 2 weeks and no call. This place is a joke!!!! Oh and when I took her to her pediatrician the next day to have her wrist x rayed, he looked at all the meds they had her on and said that was way to much for her age and she didn't need to be on all this stuff bc all it does is make her sleepy all the time.

This place is literally hell on earth. Staff have no qualifications and are basically the sole supervision of the patients. The psychiatrist only pops in for short little visits and forgets a lot of patients’ names. The one who is in charge of their discharge hardly knows the patients, let alone what they experience mentally. If you’re looking for a place for your child to get real help, this is not it. Do not bring your child here ever. Private rooms are limited, and patients go in other patients’ room all the time. Staff cuss in front of patients and encourage bad behavior. Staff egg on fighting and are not trained to de-escalate situations. Patients fight daily, staff do not report everything that happens because they don’t want to do the paperwork. Miscommunication is so huge and this place is so chaotic. Literally no one knows what’s going on and no one tells anyone anything. The dynamics of how the place is run is so shocking. Staff drama is huge, and staff talk about adult issues with patients. Staff become friends with patients which also hinders their treatment. The fact that this place is allowed to operate is absolutely mind-boggling to me. Shut the doors, i don’t care. These patients need real help, not some glorified daycare. No child deserves to be continuously traumatized by patients and staff in a place where they are supposed to get help. Fix the staff qualifications or shut the doors. I know it’s hard to find good staff, but that’s because the pay is so bad and the paperwork is so much. It would be better if this place didn’t exist. These patients just get sent to other places when Millcreek isn’t able to keep them anymore. I guess for-profit state mental health facilities are corrupt.
