The staff are put you at ease friendly. There is a nice walking path/garden in back. A big fish tank in front with a very personable blow fish everyone should say hi too. In a back corner is an on-going puzzle assembly. I find it difficult just jumping in on someone's puzzle. I like my pieces arranged just so. This is all the fun to be had in the waiting area. Oh yes. There is a book swap or give away table. I found some books I haven't read yet. I can't comment on what fun can be had in the treatment rooms because I've never been. The waiting room is floor to ceiling windows in back so you can see the walking garden if you don't want to walk it.

I was in this hospital for 6 days and all but one nurse were great, They seemed to truly care but it took 3 days to get the shower fixed, i used wipes on my last day there before the shower was fixed, I have only one nurse that screwed me over. I would like to talk to somebody about that incident. I was on the third floor and want to say thank you to all the nurses, aids and doctors minus the one nurse.

Let me start off saying the reviews scared the heck outta me. This past Saturday I had to take my sister to the Er and since im new to the area I really had no idea where to go. Well I took a chance on McLaren and I'm so glad I did. We arrived around 7pm Saturday night and was whisked off to a room right away.. She had an IV started and testing started within 30mins of arriving. The staff was AMAZING and answered all our crazy questions and concerns without making us feel like we were wasting their time. She has an infection that they treated and sent us on the way. In and out in 4hrs. (Took 3hrs to run antibiotics through IV) I will be returning whenever I need emergency care. Thank you staff for a "great" experience on such a rough night for my sister. Thanks to Dr steinacker Nurses Nicole, Jessica and Tracy.

They saved our daughter's life. She had a seizure fell down 12 steps of our deck and broke her neck. The Trauma Center is amazing. We brought her in and they jumped into action. Stabilized her and diagnosed her. She came in with 60/38 blood pressure. They are truly real life Superheroes! They had Dr. Ryan Barrett there ASAP which did two surgeries on her. Dr. Barrett another Superhero! In closing she is walking and hands working. It is amazing how fast she recovered. Again if you don't believe in superheroes trust me take my word they are out there! #Maclaren Lapeer Trauma Center!!!

Nurses are a 10 doctors well they think there time is more inportant 2 hours to check out and we just signed outselves out but all the caring nursesare worth it

The emergency department staff is great! Very caring! The reason I gave 4 stars is because this hospital is very understaffed. My boyfriend cut his finger tip off and was bleeding in then lobby and it took 25 minutes to be taken back to a room. We were there for a total of 4 hours, it took 2 hours just to get him pain meds. I'm not mad at the staff at all. They were being so pleasant for being under so much stress. I appreciated the staff so much. But I wish the hospital would properly staff. I know it's hard to judge how many people will be coming though the ED, but there was definitely a shortage of employees for a Sunday.

This hospital and staff are amazing! I am here recovering from a hysterectomy and have had a wonderful experience. All the nurses and aides are very attentive and are here in a moment if I call . It's hard being away from your family when you are in the hospital but they make your stay here wonderful.

A month ago I took my husband to emergency room after he cut his finger on a power saw. He was seen immediately. Although it only required 4 stitches, they were tricky as it was right at the first joint. The various procedures and anesthetics required a lot of waiting time, but it was worth it. All staff were efficient, and considering the issues that need attention at an ER, this was problem was handled properly. I didn't give it five stars, as I think the hospital is understaffed. This is more related to my own emergency visit a couple of years ago. But when I had my gall bladder out after the visit, the surgery was fine. Could have used a little more "post surgery advice" as my surgeon and his office were lax on that. But who knew??
