Staff is always helpful and understanding. I've only had to go to the ER three times and it took as long as I thought it would. Also u had to get blood work done and I was in and out of there in around 30mins which was awesome and pretty surprising. Keep up the great work.

My father-in-law was first taken to Allegiance for a pace maker. That was such a nightmare trying to talk to the doctor who was never available for discussion that we gave up, not to mention the doctor's rudeness. Later when my father-in-law had to go in by ambulance they first told me in the ER he had cancer, then when we went in the next day they had him in isolation and we had to wear gowns, masks, and gloves to visit because he had an infection virus and all of his clothes and shoes had to be disposed of. They discharged him to a nursing home and when we went to see him he couldn't breathe. They called an ambulance and returned him to the hospital. He then passed away the next morning from PNEUMONIA. They misdiagnosed him MULTIPLE times, released him to physical therapy and then it was too late. If I need to go to the hospital PLEASE! either take me to ANY hospital other than Henry Ford Allegiance. PLEASE, just let me die before you take me to Henry Ford Allegiance. PLEASE! I DO NOT want to ever, ever go to Allegiance hospital. Let me die first.

I was in the ER screaming in pain with kidney stone symptoms. Nobody was there but me. 20 minutes before I got checked into a room. 45 minutes before anyone gave me anything for the pain. By the time they put an IV in me, I had already passed the stone. As I was sitting and screaming in the Emergency Room, nobody ever treated it like an emergency. If you can avoid coming here at least for an emergency, do it.

ER services seem to be completely overwhelmed by the need at Allegiance - my husband came in around 3:30pm on a Monday afternoon - not a Saturday night, a Monday afternoon - and didn't see a doctor until after 7pm. Staff members told us that waiting 4 or more hours to be seen is routine. All the rooms in the ER were full, overflowing patients were parked in crowded noisy hallways, no one even spoke to us as the hours went by. It was a nightmare, and apparently it is a common nightmare. There are signs on the wall that say - essentially - "yes, we are overwhlmed in the ER, but we're doing our best and thank you for your patience." Which is the same thing as saying , we know we don't have the capacity we need, but we're not doing anything about it except ask you to put up with it. Jackson County residents had high hopes for improvement when Henry Ford bought Foote, but the emergency room reality a few years later says that nothing has changed.

I have NEVER in my life been treated so horribly. I will say there were some great doctors who did treat me with compassion and kindness and actually did give try to help with my medical conditions, one in particular Dr. Andrew Girgis, DO. He truly was my saving grace and my Guardian Angel. The hospital ran many different test on me only to find out the test were not done completely correct. They had me see a psychotherapist and he had no bedside matter and was trying to get me to admit to something I didn’t do. I asked nicely for a second opinion and in doing so I must have bruised his ego. Which everyone has a right to a second opinion. But by doing so they put me on a 72 suicide watch. I was in no way a harm to myself of others. They has a babysitter watching 24/7 and even they couldn’t even believe why they were having to watch me. I wasn’t allowed to use plastic spoons or any utensils. They took all my outside access away from me, as in I couldn’t have a phone in my room. Wouldn’t let me have excess to my records or tell me the name of the psychotherapist that I had asked for a 2nd option. 1st psychotherapist was seen on Thursday and Friday the 2nd one had come but I was having a heart Cath done so I missed him. Saturday and Sunday no one came to see me from the psychotherapist and Monday they decided to just ignore me completely. Finally Tuesday they came and all looked good and seemed as if I would be going home. Later a team of psychotherapist came in they wouldn’t let my Fiancé stay in the room even though I asked and they said I don’t have a choice. The Lady of the team was rude and kept telling me “just to tell her the truth”. Which I was telling the truth I had no reason to lie. And yet she kept repeating “tell me the truth, tell me what happened to you, tell me what happened” and I kept repeating “I’m telling you the truth and she was getting mad thinking I was lying to her which I wasn’t. It was as if she was trying to make me make faults testimony which I was not about to do because I was telling the truth. I went into the hospital because of a possible heartache and I do take medications for severe medical issues a laundry list long. I understand that Jackson, Michigan has opioids and drug problems but I am not one of the and they made assumptions that I was one of them but if they actually had taken the time to read my whole chart they’d have seen that everything I am on and all my medical conditions are right on point. Even after 72 hour they still tried to hold me and at one point tried to put me in The psych ward I ended walking out and will never even if I need medical attention will sit foot in that Hospital of Hell. Thank you to the ones who were nice and shouldn’t compassion and thank you to the ones who actually believed me I will forever be grateful to you and to Dr. Andrew Girgis, DO words cannot express my gratitude and you truly are my Guardian angel on Earth. You deserve all the good that life has to offer and my thank you will never be enough. You’re my hero.

Well two part answer I guess.....I had to get stiches here one Monday night after slicing my arm with a safety knife (ironic name for said knife). To my dismay the ER was very busy at 10pm; seemed to be filled with a sorts of addicts either being high, coming down, or in some state of withdrawal. After about 2 hours I finally got in for my 6 stitches and all went well from there, but it sure is sad to see our ER jammed up with folks that need to go elsewhere and get real treatment. Second, I have to agree with many posts here too. While my triage nurse was great and my doctor, the ancillary staff was somewhat rude and short. I get the crowd they have to deal with all the time there (see above) but perhaps some communication training would be appropriate.

I was a patient in 2013, 2017 and again in 2018 I received excellent care from caring staff. Visit other small towns and ask people how their hospitals are. Then you'll realize how lucky you are to have HFAH here in Jackson. I had quadruple bypass surgery here. Just as good as U of M.

Way better than I thought After reading the reviews I was nervous but wow!! I was in and out in 2 hours and the Dr's were the friendliest people. They go out of their way to make time to help you and make you comfortable. I was very impressed to say the least and I left feeling awesome I wish I could describe my experience in a better way but I was impressed and couldn't have had a better experience.. This is the WORST hospital in Mi!!! They are dirty, and nasty. Gave my sister sepsis 3 times from being in that place!! Gave me a heart cath and said everything was fine. I came to Bronson in Kalamazoo, and had to have 3 stents put in!! If you want to get better or survive don't go to this hospital!!!!!!

Never taking my son for blood work there ever again. The tech was rude and very bossy. Took them forever to find a vein. They made my son screan much longer than needed, hell he cried less during his vaccinations. Get these people better trained or get them out!

Due to a "lack of beds", they sent me to a mental hospital all the way in grand rapids against my will. If you ever get the cops wrongfully called on you, best hope they don't take you here for your "mental evaluation". You'll just be discarded. Thanks for ruining my life.

Save your time go to Chelsea!! Very slow and rude staff. The nurses are to busy in the halls talking about their personal lives rather then worry about helping people. That is after you wait 2 hours in the er lobby! "Cause they are so busy" but yet people came in after us got in before. So I guess if you need to been seen fast just start yelling and hitting walls they will get you in before other people. Seen that first hand lastnight. Save your time and temper and drive to Chelsea hospital.

My brothers girlfriend was discharged while at the end of pregnancy with high blood pressure and heart palpitations, knowing she was a high risk pregnancy they told her to go home and do bed rest. That whole night see had issue while at home. The next day she went to St. Josephs in Ann Arbor and had an emergency C Section as her and the baby were in danger. Henry Ford Allegiance neglected her and the baby and put them both at risk and should be held accountable for such actions. Anyone that is a high risk pregnancy in Jackson, Mi goin to Henry Ford Allegiance Health should think twice and go to a different facility. Pretty said when they turn her away and the very next day she has to give a emergency birth at a total different facility. And for the E R staff especially and throughout the whole entire hospital, nursing staff needs lessons on how to be POLITE and patient with those in need, and STOP BEING SO SHORT AND RUDE.

Im beyond irritated. I had my baby on the 8th and filled out information to get my daughter put on my health insurance and to get her social security card and birth certificate. They never put her on my insurance. They havent sent me her social security card or her birth certificate yet either. Shes sick and needs expensive medicine and i can barely afford it. Im absolutely frustrated at the fact that they have done nothing with getting her the things she needs.

This place doesn’t know how to fill out paperwork and file it correctly with the insurance. I have been waiting over two weeks to have physical therapy approved and they waited days to send off the request making my wait even longer. I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone for physical therapy.

Reviews are typically only filled out when someone has a bad experience, or they were grouchy and decide to shame on a place. This hospital has improved greatly and has amazing staff. If any staff is doing wrong, once noticed it is addressed. I am impressed with this hospital in a whole.

The hospital is very very very dirty. Leave er patients in the er for 12 to 14 hour before moving them up stairs to a room. If they are that busy they should send them to another hospital. The nurses are very RUDE, they leave urine samples laying on the counter for hours. Dirty alcohol pads laying on the floor. Very unsanitary. It takes them forever to set up an appointment with a specialist. You can get an appointment faster somewhere else. Will never go there.

In reading the negative reviews, I'm wondering if we were in the same hospital!! I came in via the ER and in going through the clinical diagnosis unit to finally be on a treatment floor, some records were slow to catch up...totally understandable. Every staff person was great to interact with! Patient, responsive, fun/pleasant, helpful - I couldn't have asked for better care. The doctors, however, provided quite poor patient care. Blew in and out, didn't explain anything in depth, seemed to resent my questions, and didn't add anything of value. Despite that, the quality of the nursing and other patient care staff are big enough pluses that I definitely would return to HFAH in the future.

I always thought that Hillsdale hospital was the worst service around.. I was proven so wrong at henery ford allegiance hospital, I have never had such a horrible hospital experience. The doctors lie and are not communicative of anything, the nurses follow suit and are very rude and discurtious twords patients, threatning and provoking as they threatened... Smh never again and i will NEVER recomend this place to anyone! If i could have given -⭐ I would have... The patient rep was also rude very rude, uncaring and certainly not helpful in the least. He did not communicate well and beleived the lies told by doctors and RNs instead of the patient and witness that was there. So much for representing the patient, here they represent the hospital and it's employees...

DO NOT give your time to this Hospital! The Customer service is SHAMEFUL! I took my seven year old son in for uncontrollably vomiting and diareah. Abdominal pain a fever of 103... I drove in the storm as the poor boy threw up the whole way, the lady checking in had THE NERVE to get mad about my son throwing up! With a smirk of her face EVERYTHING she had to say was with a complete Attitude! I would be damned before I ever let someone in her mindset be in charge of caring for my child! ABSOLUTELY DISGRACFUL! And I’m sure it was “ A BAD DAY “ my son has been puking all over my car and house for 10 HOURS! I would still NEVER treat ANYONE with that much lack of empathy! I stomped out and drove in the storm to Chelsea who had been like a normal hospital should be and NOT a night mare! Thank you St. Joes!

My husband had a procedure called a tilt table test. He failed the test but at least we now have a diagnosis. The complaint we have is your computer service. The medicine is brought forward by all providers who he have, you would think it would be up to date. It isn't and further more it is misleading. His doctor was upset by this glitch. An example is sildenafil beside it it says antihypertensive. That is only one thing it is used for and that is not what it is used for, plus it has been on hold for over 6 weeks. Medications he is on were not on the list. The final straw was the nurse starting the i.v. told him not to worry she had been doing this for over 20yrs. The picture is his arm a week after said i.v. She also never added a solution to the catheter to keep it from clotting. She wanted to push the clot in and also tried to pull it out. Then wanted to start another one because doctor wanted him to have fluids. My husband said give me a cup, I will drink. Not to happy this visit.

Went there thinking I broke bones in my foot I apparently tore my ligaments they could not confirm either way I even seen two doctors unsure what they pay them for if they can't even tell me for sure if I tore ligaments gave me a Motrin and sent me on my way I recommend not going there for any type of broken bone you might as well get an x-ray at a clinic and then make an appointment for a specialist do not waste your time or money going there for broken bones it will cost you a fortune for a Motrin and an x-ray and doctors maybe hire some that can definitely diagnose if you have a torn ligament or not

The staff in the reception area, security, nurses, EMT, doctors, assistants, paperwork personnel were all outstanding. I'm just wanting to share how Henry Ford Allegiance treats people on disability. I had an unsuccessful back surgery a year and a half ago and have only worked a few months since that time. I have a hefty bill at Henry Ford because of the surgery. I entered into a payment plan and have been making the payments using my credit cards as I've had no income. I was awarded disability and the payments will start in the new year. Unfortunately there is no room left to make credit payments. I have spoke to several people in the business office to try and adjust the payments or just make partial payments until January and I have been told no, that because I entered into a payment agreement, nothing can be done. I made one partial payment and called today to see if I could make a partial payment and keep it out of collections and was told no, that it wouldn't keep it out of collections. They also wouldn't let me reapply for their discount program. I even sent them proof of my disability award and when it would start and they still were not willing to work with me. It's insane that they would rather settle for pennies on the dollar with a collection agency than have me pay the full amount. I won't be having any future surgeries with Henry Ford Allegiance.

Absolutely the worst hospital I have ever dealt with. Constant misdiagnosis, nurses and doctor's are extremely rude. They spend more time giggling and gossiping with each other than they do helping patients. My nurse call button was ignored for almost a half hour and when the nurse finally arrived he very rudely barked "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?!" to me. I will never go back to this hospital.

This is the nasty most unsafe hospital I've ever seen. My mother got admitted and while waiting in the room looking around, a CRACK PIPE WAS UNDERNEATH THE BED!!! BLOOD ALL ON THE BED!!! Definitely wasn't my mother's! I go and get someone to remove it and they act like its nothing like its okay!! This place is so unsanitary its not even funny!!! I Hate This place. I would die before goin there again!!!!

First of all, let me say that 99% of the staff I encountered in the newborn unit, were GREAT! The hospital is an epic fail everywhere else. From the lack of labels and guides and mislabeled areas the the policies and practices that benefit the worker, the department or the company as opposed to patient or customer. The fact that the State of Michigan prison system owns an entire floor of this hospital can be the only thing keeping the doors open. The patient care is good +, but the customer service isn’t fit for a dog. Google says there are 3 Henry Ford Hospitals in Jackson ... which one is my family at? I called all 3... the first person said “of our 3, she’s at the one I’m at”.... great - which one are to at? It’s all very confusing. Upon arrival, per Apple maps, I’m taken to the “east entrance” and signs say patient parking and “Hospital Entrance” so I park and enter a vacant building... it’s a training, and private practice building” I wandered 11 rooms and halls before the only person in the building came out of the ladies room and informed me the actual hospital is out the doors at the other end of the building and across the parking lot... I go there and find a prison guard and an unmarked door ... I go in and boom, I’m on the 3rd floor of the hospital. If you need anything to do with babies, you are directed the OB EMERGENCY ... no floor index on the wall or labeled floors in the elevator ... just wander around and fget nd someone to ask. The cafeteria morons are open 4 times per day for walk Ins ... but all day for room service. Room service is for parents only. Plan on eating one of the 3 warm options sold to walk ins because under no circumstances can you get the same foods offered to patients via room service.

I would give zero but I couldn't. I had two major surgeries there and I will never go back to that town or hospital ever again! My major foot surgery made my foot worse than it was before the surgery and my stomach surgery was a failure to say the least. I currently relocated to another state with much better health care!

Had a horrible visit to this ER. They put me under my middle name & not my first name. When I called to correct it, I thought everything would be fine with the billing. Then I find out I'm still being charged $871 for the visit my insurance would cover. There's no way to directly call the hospital. Not to mention one of the security guards punched me in the jaw. I guess I should have sued & avoided all of this.

I have had mixed experiences here. I have had two surgeries done here, the first was a very poor experience, and the second was good. I had my jacket, hat, and vest stolen by someone on staff. They paid me for my stuff, but had to go out in 20 degree weather, with out a coat or hat because of some thief on staff. Now on the other side, their imaging department has been great. Everyone involved in imaging, has been very professional and helpful.

I have never had anything but poor care, rude customer service and shady billing practices in all the years (3 for myself and 2 for my husband) that I have used Henry Ford. Several times I received double bills for already paid for services. I have had customer service representatives through billing hang up on me repeatedly. I had cellulitis, and a Dr. who told me that it was just a rash, and I should just wait for it to go away. Most recently, we received a threatening phone call from HF saying that we owed $500+ for services rendered almost 1 year ago, that they just sent bills out for. Supposedly they sent out bills for the last 3 months, but we have not received a single statement. This is also not the first time this has happened, where we are told we owe money but they never sent bills. When I called to inquire on the delay of billing and absence of statements, Yvonne was extremely rude and basically told me that if I had a problem with it I should contact insurance, and then hung up. This place is a shining example of providers who care more about the bottom line than they do quality service and patient care. I would rather drive to Ann Arbor for every doctor visit, or die in an emergency, than ever set another foot inside a Henry Ford run building.

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY GROSS, NO SHEETS ON THE BED. THE DOCTOR TOLD ME I HAD TO GET MY OWN BOYFRIEND IN THE BED. THEN WHEN WE WERE TOLD THAT WE WERE BEING ADMITTED TO SURGERY IT TOOK US OVER 2 HOURS TO GET A BED AFTER THEY TOLD US WE HAD ONE WHICH THEN TOLD ME LATER THEY HAVE WEIRD BED ASSIGNING SO WE NO LONGER HAD A BED (MIND YOU WE HAD SURGERY IN ONLY A COUPLE HOURS, HAD BEEN ADDMITTED BUT STILL WAITING DOWN IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM) THERE WAS NO TRASH CAN IN THE ROOM SO ANY TRASH THEY MADE OR WE MADE WAS EITHER THROWN ON THE GROUND OR FLOOR ... BLOODY RAGS AND ALL. AFTER CERTAIN ITEMS WERENT USED I HEARD THE DOCTOR SAY THEY COULD RESTOCK THEM BECAUSE THEY WERENT USED BUT THEY HAD BEEN PLACED NEXT TO ALL THE OPEN AND BLOODY ITEMS THAT HAD BEEN USED AND JUST LEFT!!!!!!!! VERY UNPLEASED WITH THIS WHOLE STAY WILL NOT EVER EVER BE BACK AND ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH A STAR AT ALL. I EVEN UPLOADED A PICTURE OF WHAT OUR ROOM LOOKED LIKED AND STAYED LIKE THAT OUR WHOLE STAY. MEDICINE WAS LEFT IN OUR ROOM AND EVERYTHING NO ONE EVEN BOTHERED TO CLEAN AS YOU GO GROSSSSSSSSS !!!!

My mom had a massive spinal surgery correction here. Dr. LaMarca did an excellent job and communicated very well with us. Hes very friendly and approachable. After she came out of surgery, she was put on the 4th floor trauma unit. The Day Nurse (Deenah) is incredible. Honestly, she's probably the best nurse my Mom has had and we're grateful to have her helping my mom recover. Unfortunately, our experiences with the other nurses/aides/assistants haven't been nearly as positive. The supervisor is temporarily assisting the nurses. She definitely shouldn't. She isn't interested in listening to the patient at all and would rather just argue and then act like the issues that present themselves due to her refusal to listen when the patient is talking were there all along. It's really obnoxious. Some of the people on night shift can be a tad rude but it's more just off putting versus an actual problem. It's a shame to have to rate so low but the disrespect is really unacceptable and unprofessional. I'd expect better from a hospital this size. EDIT: .My mom was moved to a different unit on the 5th floor (Ortho). The care she's getting here is beyond exceptional. The nurses care and are making sure they help her as much as possible. They're very respectful and considerate when talking to her or me and communication is much better. I appreciate that we're not treated as an inconvenience and their attitudes are friendly and helpful. This unit has made a huge difference in how my mom recovers.

One doesnt really "love" a hospital but i have always had good experiences going in as a patient and visiting others while there. Clean, parking and parking garage. The nurses and doctors iv had were always super helpful and anwsering any questions or concerns i would have, I have seen some people with bad experiences but for me it is mostly good. The ER visit can be a long wait but they do try to get everyone in there as fast as they can and you can see them really trying so as long as your nice and patient, you should never have a problem here.

Our first experience at Allegiance on January 7, 2016 was amazing. My husband had to have a surgical procedure to fix a complication from a previous surgery at Mayo Clinic. We walked in the door and someone greeted us and gave direction on where we needed to go. He even escorted us to the elevator and walked with my husband to help him get checked in. Such a warm place, every person we passed seemed friendly. All apprehensions from being nervous about having surgery alone were quickly alleviated as each member of the team came and introduced themselves and explained every step. As I sat in the waiting room, volunteers greeted me. I was handed a pager so I received a page when the surgery began. I loved how this comforted me and I used the page a prompt to say another prayer over the procedure. There was a large monitor that told me right where things were happening in the process and when my husband was moved into recovery. They also had a wonderful service person, Teresa, dedicated to coming and talking to me about interpreting what was happening on the monitor and what the next steps would be. After my husband was moved to recovery, the doctor himself, Dr. Obi, came and talked to me to let me know how things went - and everything went great without any complications. We were so appreciative that Allegiance has the technology to perform robotic surgery and the competent doctors and staff to perform surgical procedures. My husband is well on his way to recovery one week later and the amazing surgical staff was so kind to even send him a very nice card. The entire experience was above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Allegiance for your excellence. The culture of compassion was felt as soon as we walked through the door.

I usually don't write these reviews but I have had such a bad experience with the billing department at Allegiance that I feel like I have to warn others. Over a year ago they billed me for a baby I didn't have (apparently there is another person in Jackson with my name) and a few months later, after talking to them and getting the situation "corrected", they called collections on this same bill. Long story short, I was assured this situation was "corrected" again... fast forward to 2 other collections notices and multiple hours of getting it "corrected"... now one year later I receive another notice from collections regarding the pediatric hospital bill for the baby that I never had!!! My family will never go to Allegiance again... but it doesn't matter because they keep billing me for services I never received. Don't go there. Don't get your name in their system. Stay as far away from that department as possible.

I was in severe pain and thought I'd drive to Allegiance,should have driven to Chelsea. I set in the ER for hours,this was on Jan.24. I finally get into ER and a bed. A nice DR. comes in the room to talk to me. Did a couple of tests and 2 cat scans and gives me something for pain. Tells me what he thinks is going on with me. Tells me he will send me home with a scrip for some pain meds. And to follow up with my primary,I tell him I dont have one. He says he will give me a name for a Dr.. Dumb me should have went with that. Or he said I could be admitted to observation area. In my pain infused mind I think ok maybe I better be admitted.Bad thing to do. I finally get to room as they said they had to wait for available room. This room had 2 empty beds.Anyway I am helped to set down but no help in laying down and to be covered. I was still in my sweat bottoms and a gown that had some kind of staps,snapped all wrong.Nurse asked once if I always had a cool room at home. Told her no I never turned temp down. She turned it up but that room stayed cold. Had 2 people try to put a new IV in,think they are Cena's.Anyways that didnt work,Had to call somone else in to do it. I lay there all day in pain,even crying when it got too bad. Dr. gives me a motrin and a flexerill. It helped for about an hr. Then I tell them I am going home discharge me. Told them I can take Motrin and flexerill at home. Thats all they gave to me that morning. Suffered all day .Then dr tries to give me a med I take at home. I told him I take those already. He said Oh. Must be he didnt read my chart and what meds I was taking.Then he tells me he will not give me a scrip for any pain,opiods meds. What the hell,I was still in so much pain.I am a old lady what does he think I'm going to do snort it or shoot it up....wake up doc,im in acute pain.As im dressing im looking for my shoes,which are new. NO shoes, can't find them anywhere. Had to drive in my stocking feet. Walk on a wet dirty pavement to get to my car then when I went into my home.Called main hospital they give me some message line to report lost shoes. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. I've told my kids if im unconscious make sure I go to CHELSEA. I just finished reading my discharge papers. It says and I quote"Henry Ford System values your comfort and safety. Your provider has prescribed OPIOID medications upon your hospital discharge " ok, now where is that prescription? I never received one for any kind of meds. Makes me wonder what happened to it. DISREGARD THE ONE STAR....jan. 29.Just talked to some patient response person. They will look for my shoes. If they cant find them oh well. Their policy on personal property not being found is they do not reimbruse you. Its their damn fault the shoes were lost in first place. My coat,shoes,and shirt and bra were piled on the cart. Nothing was put in a bag.shoes may have been put underneath cart. I remember her saying after I got to my room, in observation dept,,here are your shoes.So where are they???? If they arent found I will be raising a big a fuss. I cant afford to just go out and buy another pair. I am on a fixed income. They are Like new and over $50.00,thats a lot to me.

My experience at Allegiance was very good I was hospitalized two times in 12/12. Once for 8 days and again for 3 days. The doctors explained what was happening and made sure I understood. The nursing and support staff was attentive, friendly and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. The room was clean. Although it's never fun to have a hospital stay, my experience was a positive one.

I had my hip replace 2/2/16 and it was a grate experience and I have not had any problems. The Joint Replacement Unit is a very good unit and my Dr., Paul Kenyan MD did grate work and I was back to work in March. I highly recommend the Joint Replacement Unit and Dr. Kenyan. In 2008 I had my Knee replaced with the same fantastic results!

I took my elderly mother into emergency twice in 2 days (April 20 & 21) because they failed to perform just basic diagnostics on her the first time. She was diagnosed with bronchitis - she also has dementia. The second trip I wanted them to check her urine for infection and to have a CAT scan of her brain to see if she had had a stroke because there was a radical change in her behavior. When she went for the CAT scan she was terrified and I told them the last time she had one I wore a lead vest and held her hand and she was very good. Instead 4 women held her down and strapped her to the table while she was screaming and kicking and ordered me out of the room. She continued to scream and fight - that was Thursday, April 21, 2016. I told them she has a bad arm that she has limited use of and to please be careful of it because they were forcing it into a position that causes her a great deal of pain - I was told "we got this" and ordered out of the room. I have no idea if her hips were damaged (both were replaced years ago) - she is limping and complaining of pain in the one hip. She refused to go to bed and did not sleep for more than 24 hours because she knows someone is after her and going to torture her. Why would someone do that to a person with Dementia/Alzh? I am furious that anyone would treat am 118 lb. 95 year old woman with Dementia and many old injuries. I will be contacting hospital officials about this.

Shop around and don't go here unless you are dying! Standard echo imaging with doplar (93306 cpt) cost me $1200 for my son. Found out from my insurance company Allegiance ripped me off and I could have received the same service for $350 right here in Jackson! Called customer service and was told "too bad we charge national averages." I looked up several sites online and the highest average I could find on any of the sites was $700 with most of them being around $350. Maybe one day our congress will get off their butt and pass a law that medical procedure costs are clearly posted or communicated ahead of time. Until then places like Allegiance will continue to rip us off.

Having just spent 15 days on the 7th floor I cannot say enough about the care I received while there. The Drs (Many of them), the nurses, CNAs and RNAs dietary staff et al were amazing. Many of them sat with me when I cried in pain or quickly cleaned me up when I got sick. This hospital staff have always treated me with dignity respect and quick response time when something was time sensitive. I was so ill that once in a while I became very confused and I couldn't cooperate as well as I might have under different healthier circumstances. I had a full compliment of Drs, amazing Drs who tried their very best to diagnose and treat me every step of the way. Thank you ALL at Allegiance. I'm on the road to recovery and doing better as I travel along. Keep up the good work. I'm still here because you ALL acted quickly and professionally when needed. Place is fine if you're rich, sucks if you're not. To add insult to injury, they overcharge badly, as I learned when they cancelled Uncompensated Care. Now, if you're poor and don't have great insurance, like Medicaid, you're screwed. Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Spend-down... you. are. screwed. Due to the box a nurse at a doctor's office checked, I was overcharged by $80 for xrays. It took an hour for my insurance to figure out what they did. Allegiance also charged me for an appt I didn't have. If I'd not cancelled most of my appointments, the normal copays plus the bogus charges would have sunk me. With your merciless, unflexible, "payment plan", the copays, alone for the appointments and tests I cancelled, would have done me in. I'm going to hurt like hell to meet your payment demands as it is. I could contest it but, by then, I'd be in Collections. And, no, Financial will not hold off of Collections while I contest it. I asked. I've talked to Financial repeatedly. I left the message and contacted Patient Support Services (at 517- 788-4740... I did my research ), who talked to me once, I told her the situation, and they ignored me after that. SO, If you want me to talk to someone, TELL. ME. WHY. ----------- Second time posting this b/c Google won't let the original show, I guess due to it not being my real name. I HATE ALLEGIANCE ENOUGH TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT JUST TO POST MY REVIEW. This is a horrible place to work. Nepotism is rampant within the organization. The corporate culture preaches support for employees, but management and other departments always point fingers for problems instead of offering solutions. It appeared that in order to make themselves more appealing for their merger with UM (which failed and now affiliated with Henry Ford), the system conducted strategic terminations of employment where problems/violations were created out of thin air and put employees on corrective action. Employees eventually left the organization or were fired due to the corrective action plan, which allowed them to not pay unemployment benefits. The benefits were also horrible. 401k match was 0.25% of the first 3% that you contribute. I would encourage potential employees to seek employment in Lansing or Ann Arbor. This organization will eventually crumble under the weight of their horrible corporate culture and nepotistic management.

I went to their outpatient psychiatric care. Which was a very rewarding experience. My only issue being due to a communication breakdown, the staff told me to stay longer than I was covered by insurance and I just believed them that it would be okay. I know it was an honest mistake but leaving a depressed unemployed college graduate with 4k more debt. I guess that's more the system rather than the hospital. Another plus is it seems like a large amount of the expense may be covered by their uncompensated care program. I'm just waiting on my paperwork to be filled out.

Very dissatisfied with this place it's a plain and simple Monopoly of emergency services for one the people are rude and and only care about one thing money. They don't care about the people. I have seen them give people insulin when they never took insulin in there life and almost kill a patient my sister was so scared they would kill her she had lots of bad exsperiences with inept nurses and drs. I hope I never need them I would prefer u of m or chelsea. I was treated so bad in their pain clinic. I had to quit going the Dr had the worst bedside manner I ever seen so many complained about him he was finally fired when I would get the shots in my back I was so scared to let them do the procedure I would hurt for a month after I would get the shot in my back the pain shots hurt me more then the original pain I had I could go on and on about this hospital of it's complete disregard for the patients long wait in the emergency room and they bought out the rights to any hospitals in the area so you have to go to them for treatment if you have a emergency . I work for the prison for 25 years so for 25years I was at the hospital all of of the time with inmates and seen everything that went on since it was the Foote hospital till now it a corrupt Corp business it not a hospital that cares anymore. Had to stay here for three days. The employees for the most part are pretty nice but I had the worst experience ever when it came to them trying to put an IV in me. I've never had issues before with IV placement. The first one they did in the emergency room the guy seemed a little clueless and was not gentle he got the needle in my arm after the third painful try and he didn't do a very good job. The needle sat painfully in my arm for about a day until I finally got someone to replace it. I was assured the woman who was doing it has a ton of experience. It took her four tries before she fished around painfully and placed it in the top of my hand. I'm definitely afraid of needles now.

I would sometimes not get anyone to help me after 20-30 minutes of asking, but I can understand because of how busy they can get. Overall, I had a very good experience here.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kirkner at the ear nose and throat office! Staff was very sweet and professional. Dr. Kirkner has great bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable about my son's procedure. We had his procedure done today at the surgery clinic and the staff there was was amazing as well! The Nurse Jen in recovery really made sure my little one was comfortable. Dr. Landau (Spelling?) The anesthesiologist was very kind and informative as well. Very clean, nice facility. Highly recommend these offices we received top notch care!

2013/2014 Had the best care ever in an emergency situation. Was grateful for the good care til I got better. You are moved down to a different floor where help is minimal. 2016 Spent 15 hours in ER feeling like no one knew we were there. Daughter had pneumonia which turned into severe sepsis. Our doctor told us she was critical and we would have to wait to see if she was able to recover. My feelings are if she had been treated in ER as she should have been it would never have gotten to the point where she could have died. Four stars for my treatment. Zero for my daughter's care. Come prepared and if you feel forgotten, demand care.

I collapsed months ago walking into my bathroom from being sick for months, I had to slide on my back thru two doors to my garage and grabbed the railing to press the open button luckily neighbor heard me immediately called 911 and waved them down. Foote/allegiance/Henry ford has big shortage of ER doctors and inpatient interest doctors. So residents are running loose in ER, dried to tell how sick I had been and gave up after I described the most recent infection could not in the moment remember medical term but explained how my dr did we have air cells on both sides of the back of our head that can get inflamed I had miles swelling and aching on one side with ear pain the resident said my doctor didn't know what he was talking about the entire skull was solid bone covered only by skin, I could not understand how he did not know basic anatomy yet treating patients in the Er He ordered Ct of head,neck, and lt ankle X-ray never gave fluids or anything for pain and said I was fine and sent me home throughout the night I started having basic symptoms of bad concussion blurred vision talk slow ear pain and trouble breathing from neck injury so called another ambulance and the doctor checked med list before seeing me asked if I normally talk slow and left for 6 hrs just fluids and not going in quickly refused to come explain what was going on,no pain mess did not want to hear what happened day before finally came said my heart rate got to 39 and blood pressure almost bottomed out they thought they were going to lose me but fine being admitted but would be late next day afternoon before any bed available so left alone no medical care ER doctor would not give Ned's or see me 20hours having withdrawals or seizures,they have. No set up like every other hospital that the internet comes to see you and make sure of your care and comfort till room available. When brought to room Doctor saw few minutes didn't want to stay and left ordered only three Ned's I take like 17. When the night nurse came every time I bent my neck I could not breathe she paged him urgently for hours to call her he never did. I never had anything to eat or drink and with. Help transferred to bed side commode finally two days later about 4am they transferred to a open bed on regular floor talk about waist of cleaning crew the internet was to lazy to come discharge me were I was , he showed up with 3 residents he was training at the same time and said he had been checking I was just fine and sent me home I live alone and was sow weak I could not walk from my bed to the bathroom so called 3rd ambulance and said take me to st joes in Chelsea after only most 2 hours taken to room and doctor came to ER to tell me his plans and see me when I got to my room. The nurse came in immediately and asked what was on my hand embarrassed I said bowel she immediately got a aid and another nurse and washed me head to toe and washed my hair that's the kind of care I got in Chelsea constant wonderful care. I will never go to Jackson hospital again! !

In June (2015), I went in for an incisional hernia operation. My experience at the hospital was exceptional. The nurses treated me as a valuable, personal patient. The aides were genuinely dedicated and knowledgeable. The rooms were quiet, large and very clean. My surgeon, Dr. Obi, was the best surgeon I have experienced--including the surgeons at U of M, U.C.L.A. and Kaweah Delta (in California). I hope the people of Jackson appreciate how lucky they are in having such an excellent facility and staff.

I went to Allegiance Health for a kidney stone attack in September 2012. I think it was one of the best hospital experiences I have had. Nobody likes to be in the hospital but the the nursing staff did every thing they could to make me comfortable. They responded to my needs. The hospital seemed clean and well run. The other 1-star reviews are completely wrong. That's WAY too favorable. If you have no other option, take your loved one there, but plan on parking yourself there to supervise. Half the staff is uncaring and the other half is so overwhelmed by the load, the best they can do is apologize for the substandard care. Then there's Brian M., 7th floor (stroke ward) nurse, who manages to combine dishonesty, rudeness and prissiness into an astoundingly repellent package. Anyway, go there if necessary, but then get the hell out as soon as possible.

Was in a motorcycle accident (hit a deer) years ago. Worst treatment I have ever experienced in my life. Nurses and doctors were actually rude to me because I requested another x-ray (which they didn't even notice) on my finger that was completely shattered. This hospital is hit and miss when it comes to treatment. When I've been there for obvious problems (broken bones, burns, etc.) care has been fine. Well, except when I broke my wrist in two places, I told them that I thought my foot was broken as well. The PA reluctantly did an X-Ray of the foot, and it was indeed broken. When I broke my collar bone, I told the ER doc SEVERAL times that when I fell, I hit my head on cement and my head snapped to the side and back onto the cement---basically 'sideways' whiplash. Nothing was done. Even after seeing an Orthopedist, the neck issue was not addressed. It wasn't until months later (after having numbness and weakness in my R arm---despite months of PT for the fracture)) I saw a Neurologist who performed an EMG and found damage to my brachial plexus. In the ER, if it's something they can't immediately identify...they chalk it up to 'stress' or 'anxiety.' I go to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea whenever I'm able. Best wishes to those who need to go to Allegiance Hospital.

I went to the hospital with nerve impingement in my back they did a mri a cat scan kept me over night gave me the strongest drugs they could find but because of the holiday they sent me home with ibuprofen and valum and told me to call back after the holiday. It's worth the drive to chelsea or ann arbor

$800+ ER visit because the Drs are independent contractors. Even though one has been given financial assistance by the hospital these Drs do NOT honor it. Totally unhelpful when you have no money and need help.

After 5 of us fell from a bridge that collapsed from around 12 ft off the ground, we were bussed to HF hospital in Jackson. With my different injuries, I probably saw 35 different staff members, and all of them treated me with such kindness and sweet comforting spirits. Even as my husband and 4 children came to visit, ages 2-12 (12 year old also in fall accident and treated him so well in ER), the staff was incredibly nice to them, offering ice cream and Popsicles, reassuring them that their mom would have to take it easy, but be ok. I've been in hospitals where the nurses have low opinions of the doctors, bc the doctors have treated the nurses so poorly, but I felt as if that was the reason everyone was so nice and happy here, bc they respected each other. On an end note, my foot was disgustingly gross from dirt and blood, after I apologized for the "grossness" to the doctor, she went and got salt water solution and scrubbed my foot clean--she didn't have to, and I didn't ask her, she just did. Shout out to my favorite nurse, Jack, and Dr Marc (the talk bald one :)

Garbage! I made a negative review after a LEGIT complaint and was prompltly BLOCKED from a farmers market page. Then I was outright lied to that Travis F (CEO of Allegiance Georgia Fs hubby) did NOT run it. I am putting the proof here he does. And also they claimed I wasn't blocked. Anyone who knows Facebook knows if you can't comment or like anything you are BLOCKED. They cannot censor/block or delete this like they did on Facebook! Crooked!!!!! I'll stick to legit local businesses and steer as many as I can from this sneaky underhanded lying place.

I have never had a decent experience with this facility. My mom has a sickness that they just cant seem to figure out. Everytime I bring her here, they drug her up and send us home. Today, I spent 7 hours in the room and talked to a dr maybe 3 times. It really amazes me how many times Ive overheard the drs and nurses complain about having too many patients. Maybe if they focused more on their patients, then it'd be easier to get em out of there. In my opinion, every single employee at Allegiance needs to be retrained. I shouldnt have to drive out of town for decent healthcare. Get it together guys.

Treated my mother adequately with compassion. Some of the doctors did not explain things in full detail and inquired further. As a social worker, I am familiar with general medical conditions and medications so it is easy for me to recollect what was going on with her acute kidney failure. Sometimes I felt as if they were talking to her as if she had dementia, which to my knowledge she is not experiencing. Patient food was excellent according to my mother. Biopsy results are a little slow and she is still waiting on them after 14 days! Wouldnt expect this from a Veyeran Affairs hospital, although I utlized the VA network in New York City. CNAs and RNs answered any of our family's questions, and my mothers in addition to making us feel welcome. Definitely a step up from the old Foote Hospital.

I never truly feel obligted to attempt to decifer what is wrong with WA Foote Merorial gone Allegiance now Henry Ford Allegiance. However, due to a recent experience I am left realizing even hospitals, places we should feel safe, judge you upon arrival. My experience was racism. Due to the patient advocates exact words "your husband may have been a threat to others" due to the color of his skin and religion. Yes, I married a foreigner. No, that does not mean he's a bad person. Henry Ford Allegiance however viewed my husband a threat to others when he was brought in from drinking at a wedding and they put him in the incarcerated section because to them he was a felon. He was someone who needed to be watched on camera at all times and have security in the area at all times. Even the doctors tried saying my husband needed brain scans because he may be messed up. He was awake when this was happening, and the true felon is a doctor trying to force unnecessary medical treatment on a patient for the reciept of extra money. This is not what medical help is. This is not what citizens should have to resort to. This day my husband was at the end of discrimination due to his skin. Yes, Henry Ford's advocates can play this was for his own safety, but at what point did my husband pose a threat? While he asked to use the restroom? While he said please and thank you to all help given? Or when he asked for water and was denied. Henry Ford decided to put my husband at risk when putting him next to rooms with men in handcuffs screaming profanity at nurses, meanwhile he sat there begging for water for 2 hours. Not only was my husband at risk, but also his wife and mother in law having to sit with him begging for a chair. But the nurses took our requests for water and chairs as annoying little questions in their far to busy life. As a employee of Henry Ford Allegiance I do not recommend this place. Drive the extra 25 minutes to Chelsea and get true medical help. Do not go through my experience. I hope finally others see what WA Foote Memorial truly is. Thats all.

I'm sitting in my room sick right now and too scared to go to the doctor due to this place. I went into the ER a month and a half ago because my landlord found me passed out on the bathroom floor. Dr. Roby took me into a room and asked me if I've ever felt like this before. I explained to him what happen and what was going on and he asked me what i expected them to do for me. When i told him I'd like to find out what was wrong and what happened to me, they put me in the drug addict/suicide area of the hospital and loaded me with pills ad fluids and sent me home with my ears ringing so loud that i couldn't hear people talking to me and i puked up all the pills they gave me and took 4 days to recover with a friends help. Then when i gave them a bad review and told them I'd rather sit in my room and die than ever come bcak there, they sent the police to my hoise and my job (almost lost my job due to this) saying that it was a suicide threat!

My daughter went to Er with extreme pain, which care link told her it was a possible abscessed tooth. They gave her pain med's but later that night the pain was unbearable. So I decided to take her to Allegiance to get her some relief. And they told her she had a canker sore and sent her home. Despite the fact that her upper lip and whole left side of her face were swelled, and the obvious pain she was in. In all my life I have never had a canker sore that swelled up my face, and made me scream and cry. Put it as this, I wouldn't even take my dog there, In fact I probably should have taken my daughter to the vet's, I most likely would have gotten more help there.

My review is for the Hematology and Oncology Department at Allegiance Health and Dr. Trimble who is a hematologist in this department. My father had diagnostic tests ordered by Dr. Trimble following a referral from his PCP. Prior to his appointment to learn the results, my father received a voice message from a department employee calling to remind him of his appointment "in Oncology". As a new patient, and a patient who was not at all expecting a cancer diagnosis, this message caused my father to have an enormous amount of stress and concern. This department has to show more sensitivity to patients who are new and may have not been given a diagnosis of cancer. During his patient visit, Dr. Trimble sat with his back to my father throughout most of the appointment. Rather than interacting with him face-to-face, Dr. Trimble answered my father's questions and conversed with him while his back was turned and he was writing his notes in my father's elecronic record. It was apparent that Dr. Trimble's priority was completing the task of entering his notes in the record rather than listening to and communicating directly with the patient.

nfortunately for the people of Jackson Allegiance Health is often their only choice in health care. Allegiance has purchased most of the Physicians, medical offices and labs in Jackson. This not only provides a huge monopoly, but ensures that most people in the area receive care in some form by Allegiance. I truly believe there are some good physicians and some great employees who do everything they can for the patient but not enough to make Allegiance anything better than a band aid station. Over the last two weeks two different family members have visited Allegiance both with poor care and inadequate treatment that I believe would not fall into the scope of correct practice. I would love to discuss with joint commission some of the inadequacies I have witnessed. The ED in this hospital ignores symptoms and fails to listen to what the patient is telling them. FORTUNATELY one family member decided after visiting that the tx received was not adequate and seeked help 20 miles down the road where he was immediately placed in ICU. Great job Allegiance. The other family member unfortunately still has faith in the Allegiance system despite several visits and stays, continues to not be able to walk without effort, has lost all strength, waits for hours for tx and still not a single explanation as to why. I often wonder if during his first stay he experienced a stroke (which was not shared with him or family) as that visit really should have been examined for malpractice. Hopefully with Allegiance recently being acquired by another facilty they may become a safe hospital that at the least offers fair care without endangering patients with poor diagnosis and care

The most incompetent business I have EVER encountered. I am entirely unsatisfied with their bill payment employees and will never enter an Allegiance establishment ever again. I payed a bill but have been hounded for months with notices saying I owe the hospital money. Some idiot put the cash I paid into a patient credit account instead of putting it towards the balance due. And then a string of 5 incompetent women were not able to recognize the problem. Finally, the sixth lady had at least two brain cells in her head and figured out what went wrong. She assured me she would use my patient credit to pay the balance and that the issue would be completely resolved. She also promised she would call off the debt collector. Funny though, because I received ANOTHER call from LJ Ross and when I checked back with Allegiance for the 7th time, no one had fixed my account. I am angry and frustrated. There is no excuse for such stupidity and incompetency. Why would I give Allegiance money just for it to sit as patient credit? Obviously I paid the hospital what I owed them. It just takes a pinch of common sense to realize I gave Allegiance money to pay the bill, not just sit around as credit while I get harassed for months.
