Alot of people are court ordered to go there, as opposed to people who are there solely to better themselves. when i was there, there were drugs inside the facility and the \"security\' had no clue. i wouldnt choose this place if you really want to get better. There are much better facilities out there.

This is a DBT based stabilization, bare minimum program. It is a very first step toward recovery. They do a pretty good job of this. Treatment is never pleasant, but this is about as pleasant as it can be for what it is. I\'ve been to many rehabs. The turnover is so high here, their staff accountability- especially \"direct care-\" is very low. By the time it gets frustrating beyond tolerance, you\'re out the door. But the material covered is useful. Recovery is here if you want it, and are willing to work for it. Don\'t let the turkey\'s get you down. Food is awesome. I would go back if I had to, many addicts have to try multiple times to \"get it.\" Take this deadly disease seriously. Your life depends on it.

The staff and residents at SHRC saved my life. The building is clean, has a homey feel, and very spacious. The food is now catered and was the best! The schedule and curriculum were adjusted recently and although it was tough to get used to I am grateful for the Director efforts in making me see that a more structured day was crucial to my recovery. I made lifelong friends and received the tools needed to continue my recovery. I will suggest SHRC to anyone in need, every chance I get.

My now ex went into treatment last year. He did end uo staying cleana month or so but relapsed. When he did he used a phone that was given to him by one of the staff members at the rehab. She snck it into him so they could talk, which made no sense because he had a phone. But i did contact them and sent omall the proof. They took it vary seruious and ened up firing her ang apologized but the damage was already done. Hes still in the streets using today.

In dealing with my addiction, I\'ve been to several rehabilitation centers, one of them being Serenity Hills in Michigan. Without any shadow of ambiguity I can say that this facility is an abomination and an absolute farce of a \"wellness\" center. It is overcrowded, understaffed and unsanitary. The main program, ACC, is based upon the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard, the same cult leader that formed the Church of Scientology and died in hiding as a fugitive from the law. If you attend this institution and speak out loud in disagreement with any of their policies, you will be unceremoniously kicked out with zero minutes notice to either a 1) aiport 2) hotel or 3) homeless shelter. This happened to me after I advised a fellow resident to not sign the Power of Attorney form they attempt to coerce all their residents into signing (FYI, there is no reason for a treatment facility to require power of attorney over their patients). In short, avoid this location. It might actually be more healthy for you to continue using drugs/alcohol than to attend this insurance-exploiting hell-hole of a facility.

Horrible!!! Please seek treatment elsewhere! Understaffed, unclean. I had to leave early because I was there for 5 days before I even knew who my counselor was. Not beneficial in treatment.

I took my significant other here in March of 2023 .it was a terrible experience. He had been there several times before and came out and continued using it did absolutely nothing for him . The final time in March he said he called me over and over. I never got most of the calls when I did go up there to drop things off several different times I felt very uncomfortable as a female nurse scrupulously looked me over and questioned me at the door as to who I was to him before she took the items I had brought which were all items that they could inspect and were allowed as well as an open birthday card.when I asked if they could have visitors especially it being his birthday she promptly told me that is was not allowed because of covid I let her know that I had called the facility several times with questions and to try to get in contact with him and it had just went to an answering service to which I git no return messages. She then assured that I Myself would not be able to contact him I asked that she relay a message for me to him and she again assured me she would I left not liking the way she made me feel . I recently ended the relationship do to finding out that this nurse had created a Facebook page under a fictitious name and was messaging my fiance and flirting with him while he was there as well as making derogatory statements about me to him. When the issue was brought to her attention she blocked me and continued openly commenting on his page and personal affairs this was not only inappropriate but disturbing and hurtful and embarrassing to myself. Makes me wonder just what is taking place late night at sacred heart as the relationship she built with my significant other was definitely more than nurse patient relations.This nurse is sapose to be one of there behavioral specialists She not only tried to drive a wedge between my fiance and myself but encouraged him to leave the relationship and that i was against him. First of all she has never meet me orher than me dropping his items off, secondly I don't think this qualifies as professional medical behavior when treating someone who is cross addicted and has been diagnosed with other behavioral issues especially the ones my future husband was struggling with..I have since left the relationship while this wasn't the only reason it played a contributing factor. Also upon his release when this was going on when i told him this was inappropriate and asked him block or unfriend her he said why should i block her whenit was me that never contacted him or came there except once or answed his call all of which I had done numerous times. He currently is back to his behaviors and addictions and tries to hold me responsible because he is convinced that I didn't support or care for him during that time which is not true. So thank you sacred heart and Nurse Fay! It has taken me several months and I have been more than patient while trying to encourage him to fight his addictions and convince him that his best interest was and is at heart where im concerned however I will no longer continue this battle when one of your medical professionals continues to impose upon our personal lives . The issues she has created has no doubt on purpose or inadvertently further fueled his addictions in more than one way and also helped to destroy our relationship. Furthermore I would hope this is looked into and dealt with swiftly. Thank you No thankyou
