My parents forced me to go to treatment at Skywood in February, after being fired from my job at a diner in the town I'm from on Valentine's Day. I've struggled with drugs and alcohol after losing my best friend in a car accident when I was 17. The past 2 or 3 years of my life have been nothing but rehabs and relapses. Even my father, who has always been my biggest fan, was starting to give up on me. My parents couldn't afford to keep sending me to treatments that I never took seriously. In February, I hit a hard rock bottom when my step dad kicked me out of the house, and everyone at the diner caught on to the fact that I was using. I spent Valentine's Day in the emergency room after being fired from my job because I couldn't even serve tables with the abscess that developed on my left arm from injecting drugs. My boss threatened to call 911 unless I get the help I needed. A couple days later, mt min and step dad brought me to the airport to go to Skywood. This program really changed my life. All the staff here went above and beyond to help me and went out of their way to help my patents cope with what I put them through. Now, I'm clean and my life couldn't be any better. I've worked so hard to have everything I want or need and I wouldn't have any of the things I have today if I was still using. I'll never forget the groups that Brandt did. They were amazing. He made me realize that theres so many ways to get the thrill, or adrenaline rush that I was so addicted to, but in a healthy way. Since I got clean, I signed up for the gym and want to do some of the things Skywood introduced me to, like rock climbing. Jesse really helped my mother through so much. She still talks about him today, and wishes she could thank him in person for talking her through everything while I was there. He pushed me to go into sober living rather than going back home, which probably saved my life. The guy I was dating when I went to treatment overdosed shortly after I came home. I truly believe that if I wasn't pushed to go to sober living after treatment, I would have relapsed with him and maybe I wouldn't be here today. I'd like to thank Jesse, Brandt, Mack, Tanesha, Rick, and everyone else in the Skywood staff for helping so much when I was at a terrible place in my life. You all have helped me and my family so much more than you'll ever know!

The care was communicated was not even close to what was received. When brought to the attention of staff, managers and CEO's they were defensive and referred to their processes that was never disclosed prior to selecting the facility. They sell you on what you want to hear to get you in, but in reality it's not what you're going to get. Only positive, the facility was beautiful and there was some benefits in treatment. But it is not true individualized care. Do your research, and don't take them at their word.

I went there November 2017. The staff was great. I had Ashley as my counselor, she was awesome. The food was incredible also. I was there for 35 days then I took Cody and Ashley’s advice and went to San Diego for sober living.

We make it really clear when someone joins our private group that if someone works for a treatment facility, they need to PM one of the listed admins and ask permission before offering members treatment. We make it painfully obvious with repeated reminders to read the rules. Whit Wesner has been in the group since 2016 and has obviously never taken the time to read the guidelines. He messaged a member saying this "I work for a dual diagnosis clinic that can get you treatment for your trauma. PM me".. no name of the clinic.. no info. Nothing. Patient Recruiter. We actually talk about people like him: "7) No advertising your group, book, ebook, blog, web page, or facility.. If you would like to advertise your treatment facility, please message the groups creator Kristin Trubiani or another admin listed below to get approval. Anyone who doesn't ask permission, and comments on a post with "I work for a facility in California/Florida. We will pay for your flight. Ill PM you".. or “Hey i know someone who can get you in somewhere PM me” will immediately removed and banned from the group and the treatment facility you work for WILL get a negative review from me. Its simple courtesy and respect. I don't come to your page advertising my group, so don't come to my group advertising your facility without asking first." We want to keep our members safe. We want to make sure a facility is legit, and not a scam and offers proper treatment services. We want to work with legit facilities, ones that take the time to work with us. Its simple respect. I suggest you let your residential assistants know if they join a closed group on facebook, they need to read the rules and introduce themselves to the admin team and the groups creator. Thanks.

My son is being taken care of properly. He is getting better . I hope and pray this recovery center cures his addiction and psychological issues. The experience is very tough but the staff of Skywood helps tremendously. The only negative is they don't participate with Blue cross so out of 28,000 for one month im praying insurance Reimburse me. I also wish I was met by the financial person because i feel more comfortable giving 28,000 to them. overall i give them A minus. 90 out of 100 points

I was at Skywood for the month of August last summer, depressed, anxious and drinking to cope. I must say going in I was very skeptical and becoming hopeless with the cycle I found my self in. I must say it was one of the hardest and best thing I have ever done.The staff are very compassionate and caring the medical staff knowledgeable and understanding. I thought going in I would not last a week let alone a month, as it turns out after about two weeks I found myself healing, no alcohol, anxiety was gone and I was smiling and laughing with my peers. To make a long story short, I'm all most six months sober and beyond hopeful about my future. Thank you Skywood!

Bittersweet experience, il start with the good therapist was amazing, my aftercare was top notch, jesse and stefan the aftercare coordinators took care of all the details. Basically every dept other than my original physician PA terry and the R.As were good. Now the bad my PA terry caused me an unnecesary and immense amount of suffering I was completely ignored and disrespected as i went thru multiple seizures and vomiting for a week this PA mismanaged my medications and refused to make changes because he was " out sick for the week" the RAs are for the most part terrible at keeping everything under control

I went into the experience skeptical that addiction was real in the first place, after detox and remembering what sobriety feels like I took the most I could from all the knowledge I could acquire on how to cope with demons I had been hiding from. The whole staff for my stay (even going through growing pains as a facility) were great. I thank Skywood for my recovery, I'm less than a week away from 6 months clean.

I can't truly express how awful and and toxic this facility truly is - it's surreal how such a terrible place could exist in such beautiful surroundings. Do not trust any of their advertising - it's all lies. I was never informed about what, where, and when I was supposed to be doing the majority of the time I was there, because these things are not explained to you, and the binder they give you at orientation is filled with information that is not true or inaccurate and guidelines that are not followed. Patients are given important legal documents and paperwork to sign after being heavily drugged, and expected to figure out where to go and what to do on their own - again, nothing is explained and what is written in the guidelines is not followed. When you walk in you are strip searched as if you are entering a jail, which is fitting because this place is a jail - do not expect privacy or to be treated with dignity. At minimum, expect both staff and patients to act childish and vindictive. Do not expect safety or protection from violence or abuse. Expect chaos. Expect that both staff and patients may steal your things. And expect that while there are some good people there, the facility itself is understaffed and a toxic place to be for everyone. Staff are willfully neglectful or incompetent or both on all levels. It is unsafe and chaotic at Skywood. I have paid good money only to get trauma in return.

I was told repeatedly by multiple**************** employees that I would have no cost share and that I was so "lucky" that I had such great insurance that would cover my treatment 100%! I was at**************** for 5 days. I wanted to discharge sooner, but I was repeatedly told that I would need to talk to the Doctor / Therapist / Manager before I could check out. I would always be "seeing" these individuals the next day, but it eventually took 5 days to see everyone I was supposed to see. Each clinician told me that it was not their position to discharge me and that I needed to speak to someone else. I feel as though I was blackmailed into staying because I was told that if I checked out early my insurance may not pay and that I needed to take the proper route. I finally had enough of their tactics and and I left. **************** BLATANTLY lied to me. I know that some employees genuinely care about the patients and their recovery, but they are the exception.**************** and Foundations Inc. take individuals at their most vulnerable and use scare tactics to make money on their misfortune in unethical ways. After leaving**************** I got help at much more professional and transparent treatment facility in *************, CA and I've been clean and sober ever since, thankfully.

Just finished rehab and happily lef t. Incredibly short staffed and employees that have no business "teaching" patients are presenting their lack of knowledge to them. Ran out of towels and was without for two days, many of the residential counselors act as though you are putting them out when asking for assistance, very poor nurse communication and poor staffing. Except for Dr. S**** and Dr G*****, the Doctors are very bad and in my opinion, dishonest, unethical and totally unprofessional. For $30k, I expect to be treated with dignity and respect and treated like an individual rather than just like everyone else. This location really needs to be audited from the top down and Get back to being a treatment center worth visiting and getting better
