I attended this rehab and got out a week ago. Most of the staff really cares except for a select few which you just have to learn to deal with. I met my life long best friend here and I\'m coming up on 2 months sober. This place changed my life after being forcefully brought there. I came in wanting to return to my old ways, and came out a faithful believer in God and wanting to turn my life around and for that I am forever grateful. The staff there really cares and the counselors are especially great! I know mine helped me a lot and planted a seed of inspiration in me. After treatment I returned home to my wonderful, loving parents and finally got the car I\'ve always been wanting haha. I\'ve been attending AA meetings and my life is completely turned around. I love this place with all my heart and I\'ll be back in 6 months to share my story.

One night sitting in the hospital emergency waiting room all alone waiting for an update from the doctor on my 16- year old sons drug use, I finally gave in and realized that I could not help him and bringing him home would not help him. I had to seek professional help to try to save my son. I reached out to New Beginnings and left a message on a Saturday morning. I knew nothing about this place or any other rehab. I quickly received a phone call back. The immediate support my son and I received was outstanding. My son went to New Beginnings with little fight left in him. He was at the point that he didn\'t care if he lived to see another day. New Beginnings helped my son in more ways than one and continue to remain a HUGE part of his life. He is looking for a part -time job and wanting to finish school. He is attending his AA meetings. He is smiling and laughing again. No place will be perfect, because you are dealing with out of control kids/teenagers. It would be impossible for the process to be seamless and perfect. The therapists are great and truly care. My daughter gained something positive from this center, and the staff as a whole. She and I both believe it saved her life.

We are grateful for the help that New Beginnings has given us. The staff communication has been wonderful and understanding. As a parent it\'s hard to hear some of the stories that your kid tells you about being in rehab. We had to remind ourselves that she wasn\'t on a vacation at a five star resort, but at a treatment facility with other kids, some worse off than she was, but she was there due to her own actions. She came out with the mindset of staying clean and sober. We are forever grateful. I would absolutely recommend!

New Beginnings gave our family hope, when we didn’t know where to turn. From the very 1st phone call, I was greeted with concern, empathy and given somewhere to start. Throughout my daughters admission we were treated with respect, kindness and understanding. My daughter was struggling with trauma and addiction, in and out of hospitals in our home town, until we were welcomed at New Beginnings. Though several hundred miles away from where we lived, I was able to visit her 3 times. While there, I was greeted by staff that made time for my concerns and talked me through my daughter’s treatment plan. She had a counselor assigned to her who knew a great deal about what my daughter was going through. As some comments say, this facility does have recovering addicts on staff. Oddly enough, in those comments they are referred to as a “bunch of addicts,” NOT SO. It’s important to have those in recovery on staff. Why would you want someone who has no idea what your child is going through, helping them? You need to give those in recovery the same respect you would expect your child to receive while under someone’s employ in their future. Think about what you’re saying. This road is not easy by any means. Yes, of course there were individuals there my daughter didn’t get along with, but you will run into that anywhere. Yes, it takes a lot of work; yes, you have to make your child accountable and expect them to work the program and not act like hooligans. Please don’t get turned off by the negative comments. If you are lost and need guidance, give them a call and judge for yourself. Some families seem to think they can send their children off and expect a miracle fix. The kids and their families have a great deal of influence on the result you see when they come out of this program. Just remember, this is a Program, it has a Process. If you follow their instruction and advice you should see results. My daughter is 5 months sober since leaving New Beginnings and we live one day at a time. I see my baby’s smile again, hope in her eyes and spirit. The program staff calls me once a month to check on her progress. I often text the man who took my 1st call to let him know what he’s done for our family and how I’m internally grateful for the stepping stone this program has given my daughter. -Mom

Worst experience of our lives. My step child was recently at this facility. The care was questionable to say the least. We were never able to speak to the doctor who was prescribing medications to our child. The nurses were apparently unable to communicate the parents\' concerns and questions to the doctor. He continues to struggle with depression and anxiety and the only medication he came home with was a sleeping pill that he learned to crush and snort while in this rehab. When attempting to speak to the therapist caring for our child we were told we could only speak to a man named Dave who wasn\'t even sure he knew which one was our kid! After the first family session with Dave he then contacted the child\'s mother and repeated all of the concerns we voiced about her and her history of drug use and mental illness, after he had assured us everything would be kept confidential. You can only imagine the strain this has put on our coparenting efforts. Finances were a nightmare and it seems like we will be dealing with that department for years to come. We consented to have our portion of the bill paid out in monthly installments at the same time each month. So far, the dates and amounts are always wrong. When we question them about it they tell us to call the off-site billing office. The billing office tells us to call the treatment center. Valuable items were sent to a confiscation area since they were understandly not allowed to be kept with the child for safety reasons. They\'ve since been lost and never recovered. We will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone.

OMG! Don\'t EVER send your child to New Beginnings!! After they got 120,000 from my insurance they are harassing me for the 6,000 balance and might I add my daughter came out much sicker and met kids in there doing a lot harder drugs. This place ruined our lives. The staff and accounting people are just horrible humans that have no empharhy, not sure how they sleep at night. Terrible terrible place! Money hungry not in business of saving kids. Please please beware of these thieves. Be careful the people saying good things are employees. We went here twice!! Just got my attorney involved, will pay him 100G so these thieves don\'t get a penny. And they claim to be in recovery. No wonder all these kids come out worse. God is not at this place! Please find somewhere else.

My child was in care at New Beginnings for about 2 months. She has now been 7 months clean and sober and seems to be following the treatment plan. I am a therapist myself and researched places before sending her to treatment. I prefer a twelve step program and I do believe that this is followed at New Beginnings. I have noticed since my daughter has returned home she seems to have improved with her self-esteem and has started to speak up for herself (she was bullied at school), and she has not self harmed. She reported a pleasant experience. She spoke highly of her therapist, Jenaya. She also was happy and desired to continue working Crossfit that she learned with Kylie while at New Beginnings. I also had pleasant experiences with everybody involved in her care. I was able to have comfortable visits while there and in family session. I have referred other people to the center because of the treatment that was given. My daughter reported that the food was great. The menu consists of a mixture of foods developed based on the cultural preferences of the area. I do hope and pray I never need their services again because it will only mean that my daughter has relapsed. The only down side I can report is New Beginnings is a several hour drive from my home, and that is not a fault that they can fix. I was treated professionally and with respect. My concerns were addressed promptly. I did expect that she would be exposed to others that had used harder drugs and for a longer period of time, and she was. It does concern a parent naturally that your child may pick up even more horrible behaviors when they are exposed in general. However, due to that exposure and the education that she received about substance use, I think it affected her in a positive manner.

Nothing wrong with the place itself, more along the lines of the staff. I attended this program and it amazed me how a bunch of adult ex-drug addicts and untrained social workers chose the parent that was mentally unstable to make all the decisions regarding my recovery while also restricting my other parent and the rest of my immediate family from being able to have any say whatsoever about anything regarding to me. Also tried to extend my stay in the facility when I followed all the procedures and guidelines of the program because they were made aware of my families extordinarily strong financial situation. Made me really think about whether this program is less committed to saving and getting adolescents the help they need or just to make extremely large sums of money because of the very pricey daily charge. I recommend local outpatient facilities instead of this overly expensive facility with untrained staff.

Im 17 years old and have been in and out of treatment centers since I was 15 struggling with substance abuse. I think I’ve now been to 5 treatment centers and before I went to new beginnings I couldn’t stay clean for the life of me. Before I went into new beginnings I almost died 3 days before going in by overdose. I stayed for 2 months and I’m now 7 months clean and I never in my life thought that was possible. I thought I wasn’t gonna live past 20 and thought there was no hope for me. It was by choice that I went but in the beginning I only did it for my family. A few weeks in, there was a sudden change in my heart that I was gonna do this for myself this time because my life was truly unmanageable and I knew I couldn’t go back to the way I was living. The approach new beginnings has I think is honestly the best. They work on getting to the root/core of your problems. They find the reasons why you keep going back to the drugs and they work on it till ur ready to go home. New beginnings saved my life. I don’t think I’d be alive right now if it wasn’t for new beginnings. The staff truly care, they are genuine from the therapist to the cooks! Dave is 100% the best therapist I’ve ever had. The techs always make sure your cared for and have everything you need. There was always someone to talk to if need be. Jhena was a staff there who truly helped me more then I could ever help myself. And as much as I was a pain in the ass while I was there I owe everything to this facility. Helped me more then I could ever ask and I could never repay them for everything they’ve done for me. They gave me my life back and through that brought my family back together.

Parents, I know we are limited on adolescent treatment centers because I searched for 6 months before I finally made a decision. Let me tell you, I made the best decision I have ever made for my son when I sent him to New Beginnings! He learned so much about being and making an effort to stay sober. His counselor and the entire staff will forever have a special place in my heart for introducing my son to sobriety after he used for over two years. I love New Beginnings and so does my son!! This place is a nightmare. They preach That addiction should be treated as a disease that we are sick yet they place sole responsibility of failure on the patient while taking up all the success. Day in and day out I had questions and was told that my level of surrender was not adequate to recover. That "I was too smart to get it". When I finally decided that enough was enough and left I was shunned out not given a phone call and left the fin for myself While bombarded with people telling me that I was gonna relapse and die if I left. How is that for positive affirmation? This place uses barbaric practices which are outdated and coach families the tough love approach which hard science and research has shown a 13% success rate and the rest die. I was almost a statistic because of this place. If you value your child's life find another place this is my only experience With rehab and thank God my parents are not stupid enough to follow blindly and did research before making up their minds on what to do otherwise I would be a dead man today.
