Banyan has made a huge difference in my life. It is a very unique place, they do a great job at transitioning you into going back home and getting you into a healthy routine. The facilities are in a great place and the staff is the best around. One of the only places in the area that truly care about the patients. I would highly recommend Banyan to anyone who is looking for help.

It is extremely difficult for parents of a recovering addict to be kept out of the loop if your addict chooses to do this. You are paying for the treatment but cannot receive any information unless your child allows it. I am aware that HIPPA governs this. Thank God for Paige. She got in touch with my son\'s father and me. Not only did she offer incredible emotional verbal support, she sent information and support meetings to attend. Paige gave generously of her time. I would call her on weekends and never felt like I was intruding. Paige gets 5 stars from me. My son\'s intake process was very encouraging and welcoming. I believe I have Jessica to thank for her patience and knowledge through the initial stages of acceptance. I so appreciate the dual diagnosis which, I believe, gave us greater insight into his addiction. My son felt a \"closeness\" to the psychiatrist through Banyan and wants to continue to see him even though it would be about a 30 minute train ride. His counselor was able to get him into a sober living home where he currently is residing. With a watchful eye over his medication he might be on the path to recovery. Thank you Banyan.

These people save lives!!! I was about to end it all and the people there got me on a plane from Houston to Chicago in less than 10 hours, picked me up in Chicago, and proceeded to save my life!! I am forever in debt to these people. If you need help or you know someone who needs help I highly recommend Banyan Chicago-Naperville, very clean, organized, they work with you on the financial part, but their true honest intent is to help people live a better life that’s it. Banyan is amazing.. I have been home almost 3 weeks and I can not tell you how eternally grateful I am for them.. The staff was all great. They gave me the knowledge and tools I needed to for when I got home.. I feel like without them I would have been lost. I worked on myself so much with the help of staff. They taught me structure and responsibility.. I learned to stop and listen.. All things I need in my recovery. I would recommend Banyan to everyone. Going strong on 50 days. Love ya all

This is a very good treatment center. I’ve been in recovery now 27 years and worked with many different facilities, this is the only one that I’ve worked with that you can not only see their professionalism, but also care and understanding of the patients. They work with the volunteers making sure people are there to help and guide the patient and they’re also strict on what kind of volunteers they let come to the facility, making sure the right help is given. I would definitely recommend Banyon Chicago to anyone that is looking for good quality care and help to find good long lasting sobriety.

The worse place ever ,I send my son there and was a nightmare. Before they told me one thing and all looks really nice and then they put my son and this ugly and dirty place. They never answer the phone when I call or return my messages. My son got really sick there,and they lying on a letter they sent to his judge. All because I’m take my son out off the program. I can go on and on with the bad experience . I look forward to lawsuit them.

No stars. When I got there it wasn’t anything that was said on the phone. Then they told my dad to leave me stranded there and let me find my own way back home. What kind of caring treatment facility does that!? Or even says that!? I recommend black bear lodge in Georgia

Great treatment program in the heart of Naperville. Staff is knowledgeable and truly wants to see clients succeed in their recovery. Housing is located off site in apartments that are staffed by patient care techs. This was my first and only experience with rehab and sober now over a year! Banyan gave me a toolbox for dealing with life on life\'s terms for the rest of my life.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First off when I entered the treatment my things were not searched well enough. 10 bags of heroin were found by me in my Jean pocket one day. And I had to turn the baggies in. Then a staff member had been fired for using heroin. So just goes to show how committed some of the staff are their. I was there for about 2 weeks and then IV needles were found in my apartment that I shared with 3 other people and they instantly said it was found in my possession which was not true, once I got back to my apartment none of my things had been opened and where they said they found it. Was my cereal box which was not even opened. They did not ask anyone else in my room about the needles they assumed they came from me. I then left the facility hoping they would figure out where they had came from. I then returned the next morning with my mother trying to re enter the program, they denied my request even though anothe tr client had left just days before went out used and then returned with no problems. Their staff and therapists are not equipped with the right education to treat these patients. Their groups are almost always. \" well what do you guys want to talk about\" their staff tries to do the most minimal work. If you are loved one is going through addiction problems I reccomend somewhere more structured like footprints to recovery. Hopefully one day Banyan will figure out what it is they need to do, to help others but for today they are still stuck in not helping patients who actually need help.

Chicago was a stop on my family’s road to recovery. I was glad to find Banyan there. It helped us get connected directly to the local recovery community within the area in which we lived. This allowed the family to grow long lasting connections in AA and build healthy habits past any normal IOP program. I can\'t say enough good things about Banyan Treatment Center. The staff at Banyan will go out of their way to help those who take their treatment seriously. From intake to discharge someone will be at the patients\' side to help make the process and transition easy. They always keep the patients\' best interest at mind. The staff from the housing techs, therapists, and the staff as a whole are all experienced. They have many resources right at their fingertips to help their patients succeed with their treatment plan. Housing is well maintained and safe! Even Kent does a nice job?! I strongly recommended contacting them to at least get some more information about their program. What do you have to loose? This may be the phone call that saves your life?

November of 2016 I finally decided to do something about my alcohol addiction. I started off trying to do it on own and got sober but I still didn’t feel confident about sobriety. A friend put me in contact with Brad Gerke, who got me through the insurance, admissions process and had a bed for me in 4 days! I was scared and didn’t know what to expect. The knowledgeable and TRULY caring staff made me feel comfortable and helped to give me the tools that I needed to move down a path to a happy, joyous and free life, minus alcohol! The main office is in the heart of downtown Naperville. From intake with Jessica to all the groups with Cheryl, Kent, Taylor and Vanessa. I learned a lot about addiction and more importantly myself! I can’t say enough about the amazing staff and want to thank all of them for the new start that they helped me to make. Housing is off site but in very comfortable apartments with 24 hour supervision. The techs are super helpful and always offer help with the recovery process. I made some great friends that are like minded people that I continue to keep in touch with. Coming up on 2yrs of sobriety and living life to its fullest! I strongly recommend Banyan to anyone struggling with any form of addiction.THANKS BANYAN CHICAGO!!!

My nonprofit, Pedal4Life, has been working with the residents at Banyan Treatment Center Chicago since 2017. The program we deliver engages Banyan\'s clients in 6-weeks of recreational bicycling. In addition to the benefits of physical activity, the participants have indicated in surveys they are learning life skills: listening, helping others, focusing attention, and the value of being part of a team, among others. We are having great success and I credit Banyan\'s leadership for its willingness to embrace our program. While visiting the facility this morning, I had the chance to talk with one of the participants who experienced our program last summer. He told me he\'s coming up on \"one-year clean.\" Others, who experienced our program as a result of Director David Tews seeing the value of our work and welcoming the program, have gained employment and are staying sober. When smart leadership and simple ideas that work merge, everybody wins. I look ahead to continue building the partnership and doing wonderful things for the residents who rightfully entrust Banyan to lead them on the path to good health and living productive lives.

My experience at Banyan was exactly what I needed. I\'m a recovering alcoholic who didn\'t realize he needed help. Bayan showed me how to take the steps in accepting that I had a problem and gave me the tools to get my life back on track. The therapist at Banyan actually cared and still do care about my recovery and help me with any situation. They wrote letters to my judge so I could stay in their IOP program. The Techs at housing are amazing as well. They lead by example and are proof that living the right kind of life can keep you sober. I would not still be sober if it was for everyone at Banyan. they have been a true blessing and I always look forward to going back and speaking to the new people in the program and giving back to them the same way Banyan gave to me.

The inconsistency of the online reviews should be a red flag for anyone considering this facility. 1st note that this is a profit driven center which is the basis for many of the highly questionable practices I was exposed to. Housing is a ghetto and unsafe. To be blunt. The techs are often using and do not uphold any basic standards. Drugs are rampant, stealing is common, patients are treated like prisoners vs clients. Facilities are overcrowded and dirty. The counselors are inexperienced (many) or jaded. They will encourage you to attend offsite AA meetings (the most useful part of this horrific experience) but then make it difficult for you to be transported to safe meetings. You would expect far better for a Naperville location. But the location is really the only thing they have going for this place. If you care about your recovery- DO better. Don’t entrust them with your well being. You will leave feeling traumatized.
