After having both knees replaced at another hospital I definitely wasn\'t ready to go home until I had some rehab. It was turning into a real \"pain\" trying to find a place until St Mary\'s was suggested, I was accepted and transported almost immediately. St Mary\'s Advanced Rehabilitation Center is an awesome place where I received the best care! All the staff was great and helped me to prepare to continue my rehab at home. Even though my surgeon was excellent no one prepared me for what happens after the surgery. St Marys Rehab was a life saver that I would highly recommend to anyone, thanks to all!

If you want to be put in a gown with previous patients dried up blood still crusted up on it, this is the place for you. Oh and when you complain about having other people’s blood on you they will deny that the clearly red dried up splatters are actually blood, and then call security and have you removed from the building. This hospital is absolute garbage - go to DMH. A one star vote is giving them more than they deserve, but I can’t vote zero, or negative, stars sadly

11 years later and I still think about how this place ruined my life. I was sent on the 5th floor and the nurses and social workers gave me and several other black kids nothing but a hard time. The second time I was admitted, I got discharged and sent straight to a foster home and they never even told me why. The staff laughed about it and showed no sympathy of course because the thought of black families being separated was hilarious to them I guess. This place sickens me.

I have always had a great experience at St Mary’s Hospital. This time was no exception. Dr. Stanton (I think that is right) and the RN, Janette, I believe, who did the fluoroscopy of my hip were marvelous and so caring. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!!! Well, done, St Mary’s Radiology!!!

I\'m only picking 1 star because it\'s the lowest option. This hospital is a joke. My girlfriend went in for severe back pain for a ruptured disk that flairs up from time to time. She has been going through this for years always getting a shot to ease the pain, nothing addictive. This time they treated her like she was in there faking the pain to get \'hooked up\' and all they offered her was pain medication that she already had at home prescribed by her doctor. They claimed they can no longer give her a pain shot due to state regulations so all she would get was the oral medication. Ugh! She through a fit and shared a few choice words, but who wouldn\'t have in the amount of pain she was in considering she was basically offered nothing to help. She was told by the ER doctor that came into the room that she had to leave and that was the ONLY interaction she had with any doctor. Before leaving the building while in the waiting room I asked for the names of the treating PA and Doctor and was told that they will not give me that information. It really felt like they were trying to hide information at this point. Once again, we were then told to leave the hospital or the cops would be called. They simply refused medical treatment other than them offering a pill that she already had at home. We proceeded to go to Decatur Memorial Hospital and guess what, they immediately suggested the pain shot that she has had many times before for the severe back pain. We didn\'t ask for it, they suggested it. That pretty much confirmed that St. Mary\'s ER doctors, PA\'s and nurses lied to us to avoid giving her necessary treatment. Presumably because she is on medical disability due to Lupus/her back and can\'t pay which seemed like it lead them to treat her like she was in there for drugs so they refused treatment. If you have the option, I would strongly recommend going to a different hospital. We are strongly considered speaking to an attorney on the grounds of refusing treatment per the Emergency Medical and Treatment Labor Act.

They sent me a 4000$ bill after locking me in a room and threatening my safety before they knocked me out, no choice of mine, leaving me frightened about my wellbeing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!

I went to the ER last evening with a rapid, pounding heartbeat (SVT). I was in a room (that was clean!) in less than 10 minutes. There were nurses and techs and the doctor working on me the minute I was in the room. They were calm and efficient which helped keep my anxiety level in check. I would never hesitate going to this hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Frazier and Matt the ER nurse. You all were great!

I went to Saint Mary’s for a series of tests. Blood work, an ultra sound, and a stress test. I was in and out so quickly and everyone was amazing. Kim (my ultra sound tech) Michelle and Gail (the RN’s that did my stress test) and the RN that took my blood (I didn’t get the chance to get her name) were all so nice and made me feel at home. They all explained what to expect and how long each test would take. They also all had great personalities and great bed side manner. Quite refreshing!!

Took a friend in for dehydration at 3. Sitting on 8 o clock with the question of how long getting brushed off. I wouldn\'t hold a number to it if you just guessed... good thing nobody had a leg lopped off. Dissapointing.

Quick shout out to the staff and nurses on the 6th. floor (Rm 621) patient LG White. You all made my experience there so at ease. I would like to think, under these circumstances, being a heart patient, you would be just another human with another bad heart. Well, it wasn\'t that case. The staff and nurses and the doctors and assistants in the operating room (Eric and Ron) everyone were just a blast to be with. I loved bantering with the Doctors and they in turn need a break from the gloom and doom of their daily routine. Oh yes , Dr. Caceres , your the best. (the nurses told me to say that)..LOL... Thanks Guys and Gals, LG White,,your patient.

I was admitted for a week through the er while working (I drive a semi and live in Arkansas). I have a very complicated medical history so that combined with being in a strange place during a medical emergency was terrifying! But everyone here took the absolute best care of me and made me feel right at home. I truly appreciate ALL staff members. From housekeeping, registration and food services, to nurses, doctors and surgeons. Everyone was wonderful. Thank you all so so much! I will never forget your kindness.

HSHS wonders why they are failing to maintain census and are losing good staff. I went her as an ER patient for severe bronchitis and asthma flare. I had an active fever and was very short of breath. They discharged me despite a rising fever and continue difficulty in breathing, wound up admitted in a different hospital in Springfield. I won\'t go here again even if my life depended on it, simply put they cannot be trusted in their current leadership/physician roles.

I came to the emergency room at 11p.m. with my child. I was informed that they were waiting on room availability, but they would do the testing needed (x-rays) so the results will be back by the time a room is available. We were called back to a room by 12:30am. We are still sitting in one of the rooms waiting for x-ray results that were done before we had a room for 3 hours and counting (yes, I have my timer on).

I had 3 children back in the early 90\'sat St Mary\'s in Colorado- i have dealt with health issues as well over the last few decades, The team skills are awesome. I Aldo was a candystriper for oncology and mother/baby NICU..Thank you St Marys for your indigent program. If you need financial assistance, they always try to honor your needs. Be thankful we have clean hospitals, access to health care. For every one bad or careless physician, there are 100\' s of humans doing the best they can. GOD bless you.

Terrible service from ER Dr. Took 3 hrs to get results from a CT scan. Came in for blinding headaches and left after 4hrs with nothing. I informed them about high blood pressure issues that I dealt were causing my headaches but not once did I get my blood pressure checked or even a mention of it as a cause. I know from my own observations that when my head is pounding my blood pressure is way up. Like 140/110 or even higher. When I mentioned this in the end he wanted me to get a spinal tap. No way. Not without excusing all other options. Failure. After 4 hrs and probably over a thousand dollars I went home with a worse headache and nothing for for relief. I turned down the meds that were basically ibuprofen. Informed him from the beginning that I had been taking ibuprofen but it stopped working a week ago. I feel I was not offered anything to break the headache up because the Dr had profiled me before he ever walked in the door. He looked up my records and seem I had been in there for injuries in the past. But he twisted it around and suggested I was just there to get pain meds. I was insulted in the manner he approached me so I refused the mild medication he offered I can get the same thing over the counter for much less than it would cost to get it at the ER.
