I recently had a baby at OSF St. Anthony’s and can honestly say that my experience could not have been better. Everyone from the nurses - to the housekeepers - to the food service employees were kind and compassionate. My OB nurses worked so hard, especially during delivery. They were extremely supportive and encouraging during the process and provided so much education post delivery. Thanks so much for making our experience even more amazing than it already was.

Just want to say that I had a sour taste in my mouth from a prior experience with my child at St. Anthony's so I hadn't been there in years. I got sick last Thursday and did not feel like driving into town further than I had too. I am glad I made the decision to go there. I checked in and was taken back in less than a half hour. My ER doctor Dr. Hanko had the best bedside manner and made me feel that he cared. Needles to say I was admitted and spent almost 5 days on the 2nd floor South Wing. During my stay I encountered some of nicest nurses, techs, CNA's, hospitalist, nutritionist, room service as well as housekeeping staff.. I was provided lots of information that will assist me in becoming more health conscious... So with this being said..St. Anthony's is now the only hospital I will go to in this area... Thanks for your care!!!!!

I went there for a ear infection. They got me in and out fast. Not very friendly. I got a bill from there today for almost $50. I have never had a co-pay that high before its double what I have paid at other output visits.

My grandmother was admitted to the hospital three times in the past two months for various reasons as well as several ER visits. Each and every time she was there, the staff, nurses and doctors were extremely loving and caring to my grandmother as well as to me. Dr Hanko(?) in the ER especially was extremely kind, helpful and caring. This last time my grandmother was admitted, she stayed in the hospital for around 12 days before passing away. The nurses (Layne, Andi, Bailey, Tammy, Ada, Ashley, Gretchen, and several more whose names I can't remember) at 2 west went above and beyond and took such amazing care of her and would call me and update me and tend to both of our needs at any time. The physical, occupational and speech therapists were AMAZING! The cnas (whose names I didn't always catch) were so caring and supportive. The case managers Nancy and Kim went above and beyond, were extremely helpful in getting me information I needed and helping me contact whomever I needed to help with grandma's care. Her doctor after being admitted, Dr Patel was so kind, calling anytime I had questions and personally calling me every day with an update and a plan of care. I received hugs and sweet comments about my grandmother after she passed from all of the nurses and therapists and cnas who had worked with her. I'm so thankful to have had such support during a difficult and stressful time. I cannot sing their praises enough. Thank you all for all of your hard work and care you gave to my grandmother and to me. It was a pleasure to meet you all.

I delivered my son stillborn at 31 weeks and the OB staff was really sweet and patient and respectful during the grieving process in the hospital. I thank each and every one of the OB nurses i was alone for a little bit while there and they came down and sat with me and talked about normal things and made me lots of keepsakes to remember my son while i slept on there break time. I will be forever grateful to the OB floor staff.

March 7, 2019, my father had a brain bleed. He had a DNR so there wasnt’ much anyone could/should do for him. The hospital put him in a room on the 2nd floor. The nursing staff was tremendous, caring and informative throughout dad’s last days. I wish I could remember the nurses by name, but you know who you are. Our family is thankful for your kindness. We would also like to thank the sister who prayed with/for us on dad’s last day; actually after she prayed, dad passed peacefully within 30 minutes. After dad passed, we were not rushed by the staff to say our good-byes and leave. They gave us as much time as we wanted/needed. This is a very caring hospital.

Thought I would use a local hospital to for a second opinion instead of going to St. Louis. After paying my $50 copay and seeing the specialist, I received an additional bill in the mail from the medical center for $246, cost for the exam room at medical building where I saw the specialist. St. Anthony’s said all specialist visits at their facilities are charged this fee (facilities fee) now and they don’t have to inform the patient. My family will not be using any of your facilities, there are less expensive and better medical centers in the Alton/St. Louis area.

My son got hurt in his college hockey game last Saturday evening in Chicago. The athletic trainer believed his ankle to be just a bad sprain. He suggested calling the doctor on monday morning after we returned home. After the game we headed straight home to Alton. We decided, due to the swelling and pain, to go to the ER. We arrived at Saint Anthony's at 4am on Sunday. He was checked in, xrayed, fitted for a boot, and discharged by 4:41!! He ended up fracturing his fibula. Everyone was fast, nice and greeted us with a smile. So thankful since we had been up all night due to the drive home from Chicago. Thank you Saint Anthony's!

I took my four year old there for an infected toe. It was red and yucky looking, the registration nurse was Amazing, she was gentle with him and kind. When we were able to go back the doctor came in and told us that it was an ingrown toe nail, and that they would remove it. The nurse came in to look at it and told us the same thing. I thought OK good we know what it is now. We waited for almost two hours before they came back to us. They took us to another room to do the procedure. Well as the doctor was getting the stuff ready he got a phone call, he did not excuse himself at all, he left the needle in plain sight for my son to see in a vial of something. My son started crying No needle, over and over. The nurse got him a white Angel Bear that calmed him down pretty quick. An hour later the doctor came in and said OK here we go. He did not give me any warning or tell me what he was going to do. He did not use a cold spray to numb my son' toe, he just stuck the needle right into my son's Big right toe, he SCREAMED so loud that everyone could hear him. Then after the needle part was done I got no warning on the knife coming towards my son's foot until my son said "No, me do not like knife, no knife, no knife." The nurse did everything he could to get my child calm. Then the doctor said that he was done, the nurse got a swab and told us what was going to happen next. They had my husband put pressure on my sons toe until the results came back. Another nurse came back put a bandage on it gave us our prescription papers, gave him some pain meds and sent us home. I was not pleased with the Doctor, however the nurse was Awesome with my son, he was the only good thing at the ER. I will not be taking my child back.

Ok, so the relative I was visiting is fine. However, yesterday it took them 12 hours to get him in a room. I am not posting pictures; however, listening to the three nurses on duty for the floor discuss their phones, others not working, make up, and God knows what else does NOT help me or the PATIENTS enjoy the medical process anymore. When the nun was at the nurses station, they were working. She left and w.o.w. She came back. They were on task. We should never be able to hear information about other patients, the latest make up trends, or the sex lives of nurses from a patient room

As a breast cancer survivor I'm not very pleased with Saint Anthony's today. I had to go elsewhere to get a mammogram early because of your error. Then I had to go to Saint Anthony's to pick up my records myself although your staff knew I was going to Anderson Hospital for my mammogram. Saint Anthony's had sent over several mammogram histories but mine was not one of them. Saint Anthonys used to be my hospital but it won't be anymore.

I rushed my mother to the hospital in October, due to bleeding. She is terrified of doctors and hospitals. During the time she was there, the compassion and professionalism of the doctors and nurses at St. Anthony’s she was comforted and reassured. And thanks to them, she has made a complete recovery. This is the 2nd time I've had a bad ezperience. They are cutting costs and treating people like a herd of cattle. Injured knee and ankle, they let me walk around even though I was noticeably in pain and limping. Registration girl said they weren't busy but I sat in my "room" for over an hr before the PAC came in, a nun came and took me to get xrays and she was anything but caring. She jerked and yanked my knee and ankle around like it was a chicken you are diamantling, wasn't in tears until I left that room. My "nurse" who had been on duty since I got there finally came in and told me he had just got there, gave me a shot and then the PAC came back and said I had sprains and they sent me home. No instructions about weight bearing, brace, wrap ,crutches NOTHING. I hate this new regime, OSF. Never saw a dr wasn't referred to an ortho dr or even told to follow up. Got home and my ankle swelled to twice the size. What happened to the caring, compassionate and understanding staff they used to have. Unless it's life threatening I will be crossing the river.

Im not to pleased with them this time the people in ER where not very caring! They didn't seem to want answers questions we had! The nurse on the floor have not been much help either! I usually don't have anything to complain about this hospital but this visit has been bad! I feel that they are not the care people like the use to be! I know this because when been come to this hospital over thirty years!!!

Loved the nurses and the care. The Cafeteria had a female cook who was very rude who laughed at our order because we incovienced her and asked us if there was anything else we needed from the kitchen in a sarcastic tone. Worst service that I have ever seen in my life. Cafeteria was also very dirty including food trays that had not been washed that we got out of the trays that were suppose to be clean. Floors dirty. Very unsantiary.

It was fast and I had no problem with anyone. I first got there I was given wheelchair and ladies at front were nice. Guy took my vitals was fast and efficient. Got right back room nurse was there asked me how I was feeling gave my cup for pee. In 20 min the doctor was there asked me how I was ordered tests very polite. Lady that took my blood was fun to joke with and got me first time. While waiting a guess a tech came with warm blanket asked how I was doing and if I was getting treated right. Lady does the insurance was nice. I got my tests back in hour. Doctor explained everything and I had my prescriptions less 5 mins after. This all took 2 hrs one of the shortest visits I had. So I say they are doing good there. I go back them before I would go see rude people who work at Alton Memorial.

They provided me with great care why was their in ICU. I wasn't a fan of there normal floor but I do have to say the ICU is pretty good there and they take excellent good care of you I went there for a heart issue and trouble breathing

Scheduled a 9 am endoscopy. They call us 5 days out and say they scheduled someone else at 9 and our appointment is now 11, but arrive at 10. We arrive at 10, check in, and they place us in a waiting room. We then wait there as 11 passes by. It’s 1115 and we sit here, in the waiting room with other people who were also scheduled at 11! So they double book, expect you to come early, and make you wait as long as they want. Super poor service, especially considering we are customers that are buying your service. We won’t be back to this hospital. We will find another in Missouri.

I had my cancer operation here...every thing was fine , but the nurse I had, she was rude and a smart mouth.....I do like the hospital, but some of the DR's are useless, I begged 2 DR's for help and they did NOTHING, but give me all kinds of stuff , like Fish oil, Vitamin B-12 and Potassium, come to fine out 12 years later I had cancer...these two so called DR's I would not take a flea of my dog to.....................................................I can not believe what I hear about a wonderful man and DR..like the foot DR Lindsey..but useless Dr M. Klien is still there..wish I knew where Dr Lindsey was , so I could go to where he is at..getting tried of these fools, maybe start going to Alton Memorial Hospital.....this place needs to clean house.

I was so taken care of by OSF staff , nurses and Dr. Lothian , so professional, having medical issues each and everyone repeatedly acknowledged my list of allergies. I have not had any other hospital or facility do that. This made my visit very reassuring and I felt safe. So once again a hospital in Alton showed it incompetence. My 2 year old grandson fell and cut his forehead. My daughter takes him to St. Anthony's ..the doctor ( not sure i should even use that term) came in the room and was rude to her and said "I'm not stitching that or even gluing it, and turned around and walked out. She left and took him to Children's in St. louis. He needed 6 stitches. way to go St. Anthony's
