My brother William went to Twin Lakes Recovery suffering from depression and alcoholism. They appeared, from the moment we made contact with them, to be a legitimate facility and we were sure he was going to get the help he so desperately needed. We knew William needed help and we tried our very best to find that help. If Twin Lakes had cared as much about my brother as they did collecting the MONEY FOR HIS STAY, he would be alive today. It was clear money was the most important thing to them. The day we arrived, again, they appeared to be concerned and caring. My brother was there for less than TWO WEEKS when he called our mother stating he was ready to come home. We knew he wasn't ready, however, Twin Lakes supported his decision and agreed he could come home. My brother came home from this negligent facility and began drinking the next day. This past Saturday, our brother William Taylor died at the age of 47 from depression and alcoholism. Thank you Twin Lakes for NOTHING. I will do everything I can to ensure you do not allow this to happen to another patient. You should NOT ALLOW TO BE IN BUSINESS. This just one life out of many I'm sure you DID NOT HELP! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE ONE STAR RATING AS A POSITIVE! IT WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO POST WITHOUT CHECKING ONE.

My loved one was a patient at this recovery center in 2018. This place is understaffed and their patients are not adequately supervised. The combination of being understaffed and the lack of supervision by the staff that is present lends to inappropriate relationships among patients during a period of time that they are vulnerable in sobriety and often medicated to safely assist in that effort. The patients are encouraged to exercise and in the early morning they can go as far as the entrance to the facility for a run around the front pond while the staff member relies on “snitching” by patients to report inappropriate contact. It’s a complete recipe for disaster during a period of time your son, daughter, spouse, etc is not well and often dry drunk. And, while relationships are technically verbally discouraged, the staff does little in the way of preventing their patients from finding this new “fix” including not enforcing the dress code. It is truly a scene from the show “The Real World,” yet patients are asked to take their recovery seriously.

Understaffed and too many patients. Very, very limited individual time with an actual therapist. Most treatment is in a group setting with young counselors (not licensed therapist). We had to pay out of pocket, no insurance and my loved one was Put n a room with 4 or 5 others. Certainly not the 2 per room advertised. A lot of very young patients. Out of probably 5 calls to the nurses station regarding medication, I think I received 1 call back. They don’t typically answer. For the money we paid I just wish the therapists would have been more experienced (many recent graduates) and I wish there would have been more individual time w a therapist. It’s really only about once a week. The rest are n group settings

Do NOT take your family member here if they are diabetic. They do NOT have the staff that know what do do. Dropped my mother off on a Tuesday and everyone was sweet as sugar and assured us they would take care of her, only to get a phone call on Wednesday @ 1:30 to come and pick her up that they couldn't handle her diabetes. They allowed her sugar to get over 500 and gave her no insulin...no excuse for it!!!!

Twin lakes is a wonderful treatment center. Anyone looking for a detox or rehab this is a wonderful place to be. There staff was truly amazing, most of them was kinda rude sometimes but everyone has bad days. There medical staff was straight wonderful, one lady I forgot her name but she was like a second mother to me. They constantly make trips to the store and take requests on what to get, aswell as offering 3 hot meals a day from a local restaurant..... Witch was good some days and others was decent but if for some reason you don't want the meal provided you are always welcome to the food they got from the store. I learned so many things from being here for one I learned how to fish it was amazing. But thanks to twin lakes I'm living a wonder sober life that I never thought I could live. They introduced me to a sober living in west palm witch I stayed at for a month then went on to get my own apartment and got a wonderful family and it's all thanks to twin lakes and there staff. So anyone looking for a rehab or detox this is the place to be.

If you want to be treated like a child by a staff that is less than qualified, this is the place for you. The therapists are never available, wrong meds get given out, and there are HIPPA violations all over. Do yourself a favor and just go to meetings.
