This Program has been a transformative experience for us as parents and especially for my 20 year old daughter. My daughter is growing up and learning about herself as she learns how to be sober, to be mature and to become productive. It is great watching her, becoming a leader while the group dynamic allows her peers to open up to her, the staff, the counselors, the sponsors and to other parents. 15 years ago my daughter entered this program. Initially, I was skeptical because I knew nothing about addiction or addiction programs. I questioned everything. While my daughter was going through her therapy, the parents were asked to also attend weekly meetings for parental support. In those meetings not only did I learn to accept the fact that my daughters addition was not caused by me, but I also learned how to have a better understanding of her and how our relationship could become better. Today, my daughter is a mother and wife with 2 beautiful children and a loving husband. Insight provided her with the tools she (and her husband for that matter) needed to become the adults they are today. For anyone seeking an effective program run by people who “get it”, you will not be disappointed.

They are called a nonprofit and that they’re mission is help the patient with the recovery, I beg to differ and so does the 77M lawsuit won by the plaintiff. Please google and read about it. The is based on my personal experience from 2021. Why would you admit a patient who has mental illness and Substance abuse ??It’s called Co-occurring disorder which your facility is not able to accommodate but instead of referring them to a facility that can, Marr takes them in only to fail. On numerous occasions I questioned this to them only to be told that my child is adult and they would not give the full answer even though we had power of attorney. They don’t have morals or ethics, they have no shame because they continued even after what happened in 2017. Why is this facility still in operation?? My heart and prayers go out to the parents and family of Nick..🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 There should be an option for 0 star

My husband and I highly recommend MARR. MARR saved my life. I was inpatient at MARR in 2003. I was broken. My at that time domestic partnership was broken. We have since married the year it became legal to do so in Georgia. The spiritual process of recovering from addiction is an inside job. The 12 step process is the way. I am proud to put my name on a five star review for MARR. Unlike some others who make disparaging comments and make up a name. MARR has been with us all through my recovery process. I should say our recovery process as it is also a family process. My sponsor and I both graduated MARR. The community aspect of this treatment center is where a lot of the healing takes place. The process of building relationships again after being closed off by addiction is key. We regain a place in a sober society. We develop close relationships with new sober friends and regain relationships with family. My husband and I were the first gay couple they gave couples therapy to. Thanks to Todd Valentine and Doug Brush and possibly others I don't know having a hand in it. The team of counselors and therapists are constantly in touch with each other to help a client grow. There is a professionals program as well and the families have groups too. The treatment at MARR is very detailed to try and get at core beliefs and core behaviors that keep addicts like me able to justify using. Once the chemicals begin to get out of our system we are left with behaviors. Those must be modified and you simply can't do that in a thirty day program. The folks at MARR have been with me over the decades. They have been caring for addiction clients since the 70s. There is an active alumni community in many cities including Atlanta. If you don't believe recovery is possible just come to the annual picnic or the annual banquet that raises money for the scholarship fund. The banquet sometimes has as many as a thousand folks there. I believe so strongly in MARR that I left a 35 year career in Interior Design to join the staff and begin a journey to become a certified addiction counselor there. Pray for me on my journey. Call and arrange a meeting at MARR if you feel there is a need in your family.
