Dr. Patel did my thyroid surgery on Tuesday 11-6-18 and the staff and everyone took very great care of me. A very special thank you to Ms Angelica and Ms Susan for taking very good care of me and thank you for being the best nurses to me. And thank you to Ms. Amber Odom helping take care of me as well. I wish we had a great hospital over here in my area like the staff here. A very big thank you for being the best hospital in the world. Thank you so much.....

Had an outpatient procedure. The surgery center opens at 5:30 so if they tell you 5;00 you will sit in the parking lot. Once in the facility the people are very professional. Shout out to Carrie for her professionalism and for making you feel at home. I would highly recommend this facility and all the people there

I was admitted in emergency to the hospital for cardiac issues, and had to spend a little over 24 hours. The staff is very friendly, although VERY overworked and overwhelmed. I felt all of the major boxes were checked and they stayed on top of the important issues. The little things not so much, hence the overworked part. They were completely at capacity at all times. I know for a fact they did every test needed and didn't leave anything to chance. I was checked up on regularly, and the nurses made funny jokes with me and made my stay as pleasant as possible. The beds are pretty uncomfortable, if I had to spend a long time there it would have been unbearable. Also they could stay on top of cleaning the rooms a little better. The floors had some stains, not a huge deal but something to consider. The doctor who saw me was very caring and very thorough. I was also transported in a timely manner.

When our 9 year old grandson was born thought the hospital was great, years later we move to Lakeland and my opinion changed. About 4 years ago was taken to the ER and after that experience was not happy. Asked for list of allergies then nurse wanted to give me a medicene I was allergic too. Her answer was well your in the right place. Not what I wanted to hear. Then as she is walking out the room I heard her say to another nurse I was too fussy. Um it is my life and been transported too many times to er for allergies to foods etc. What was wrong for looking out for myself? On top of that as it turns out it was an allergic reaction I was having after eating shrimp. They totally missed it and how do I know. 2 weeks later ate more of the shrimp same reaction not as bad. Tried calling no calls back ever. Did not have insurance at the time and then get bill for 15 grand don't think so. Not when I got treated way that I did and misdiagnosed as well.

A little complicated to navigate but very helpful and understanding staff. I came here after a very bad experience at a different hospital. The staff was very understanding and compassionate. The doctor on call and nurses on 1/15 were all very kind and knowledgeable. I was sent home with ALL results from tests. I would definitely recommend going here before any other hospital in polk county.

By far the worst Hospital I have ever been to. These Doctor's need to remember why they actually entered medicine. If you are going to help patients then help otherwise, dont waste our time and take our hard earned money.

I have been to the pediatric emergency room twice and I’m not impressed. Service was much quicker in the old emergency room. The staff is very friendly including the nurses.. the attending physician (not so much). If I wasn’t already here for a period of time, I would have snatched my child up and left. You cannot be forceful with a sick and upset child. To be a pediatric doctor you must exercise patience and the ability to comfort a child.. neither of which Doctor fisher offered. Skip this place, it’s not worth it anymore.

So my husband had surgery, with an overnight stay, he was never given dinner, ice water, nothing to eat or drink, not one staff member helped him to the restroom and his legs were strapped down. No one ever came to answer the nurse call requests. I stayed late, because he had no help, 12:30 AM, and I had to go home, I came back in next morning and he still had not been given anything to eat or drink, no water, or breakfast and he was still strapped down, he used a urinal I left for him that I pulled out of a box of odd leftover stuff that was in his room. I had to call the kitchen and complain before he got breakfast at 10:00 AM. This hospital has really gone down hill, WITH NO QUALITY patient care. We will not be recommending this hospital to anyone. We are very dissatisfied and disappointed because prior to this surgery we felt confident in LRMC, but not anymore. BTW, we do have good insurance.

The surgeons are good and they have some very high quality nurses. But there is also a ton of attitudes with some of them. I think they are understaffed a lot, as patient's spend an awful lot of time alone with no one checking on them.

Go to Tampa or Winterhaven if you can this place is a joke when it comes to health care it's more like health don't care worst experience with Dr care actually my family never seen my Moms actual treating Dr ..EVER...and I was there literally every day 10 hrs a day for two months only nurses to relay messages and orders ultimately my Mom passed away and we were left with no answers medically and the lost all of her personal belongings even her teeth , frantically I complained and they said I could get a lawyer (as im devastated) if I wasn't satisfied that they aren't responsible for her room items...like she could be experiencing cardiac arrest at 11 at night , shame on LRMC awefull and unprofessional ... I'm sorry Mom ....

No Handicap Parking, Not ADA compliant and they charge for parking instead of providing parking. I am handicap with a heart condition and physical disabilities and I have a handicap placard. Lakeland Regional Hospital, the only hospital in 30 miles of me does not have handicap parking nor parking near the emergency room. They used to have free valet parking, now they are charging $5.00 to park the cars and this is discriminating to me as I am finically challenged and unable to afford to park my car, nor can I park my car in the parking garage and walk from the garage, into the main hospital, out the door, down the sidewalk then to the emergency room. This is obscene. I had to wait in my car while my son and mother came so my son could park my car so I could be treated at the emergency room of our hospital. Physically and financially discriminating to me and I'm sure I'm not the only person this effects. I called and asked about the parking and was told, have to park in the parking garage and walk all that way into and out and down to the ER

The new women and children center is horrible for a regular hospital sickness visit. Waited 3 and a half hours with my 6 month old and after 11pm i couldnt wait any longer and left. Didnt see a doctor and went to bartow instead. Never again!!!

They've grown too large and are too disconnected. One area doesn't know what the other is doing. Too many departments contracted out. They lost my loved one's personal belongings not once, but twice! They failed to transfer on another occasion as they were in a hurry to move him to a rehab while i was out of town. Lady at front desk was on her phone texting someone and I had to wait to speak with her. Too bad, was a nice place when it was smaller. Update 12/07/18 My loved one is back in the hospital there. SpSpole to a social worker and asked her simply to contact Security and let her know he was back in the hospital and return his item. She would not. Seriously, just let them know he is there and return his item. This place is very disconnected and cannot provide even simple customer service tasks.

My mom came to this place because she was bleeding internally they kept her overnight and did a couple test found out she had to bleeding ulcers discharger in Center home before she left she was bleeding even more and she told them and they still sent her home she got so bad she had to come back stayed in the hospital for a week had to have eight units of blood why the F would they send her home in the first place. Now I'm in the ER for blurry vision headache chest pain vomiting I got admitted overnight didn't get to room until the next day once I got up in the room not once did they come see me or took my vitals that night they sent me home the lady was rude as hell I couldn't get a word in told me straight out that I had a cold and that my insurance wouldn't pay for a stress test my son walk me down the hallway I almost passed out I was told to go back to the ER I didn't the next day I finally gave in and came back to the ER the doctor just walked in in a rush told me only because I'm having chest pain doesn't mean that it's my heart that I need to give it a couple days that's what I was going to focus on my headache this place is a f****** dump not professional and all they want is your damn money In-N-Out that's it you can't even finish your sentence without getting interrupted

I was treated as a joke and NOT treated medically at all, because I had been transferred there by another hospital that is not typically associated with them. I was told it was a political thing. I was ridiculed, treated rough physically, and was shown absolutely zero respect. It was also very dirty. Zero stars for them.

The staff deserves 5 stars, front desk ladies and nurses are very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, even though customer service is important, it is not why most people would choose a certain emergency room over another one. I visited the emergency room for severe dental pain I have been suffering from for 3 days (on a long holiday weekend) with very little sleep and not being able to eat. I was seen by the assistance physician Nicole Wallace. She shined her flashlight inside my mouth for about 5 seconds, and advised she did not observe any dental abscess so she was going to give me something for my pain there at hospital. I advised her that there was an abscess right under that tooth in my gum (it is hard to miss). She then acted surprised and advised she would prescribe antibiotics and give me something for my pain there at the ER, but she made it a point to specify and tell me I AM NOT GOING TO PRESCRIBE ANY NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICATION (at no point during my visit did I ask anyone for narcotic pain medication). Overall, very dissatisfied with the service, and felt discriminated or categorized as a substance abuser. As a matter of fact, I have never used any drugs and I served my Country honorably before becoming disabled and retiring. I pay good money for my own health insurance, and emergency room visits are not cheap at all. The least a Physician can do is take a decent look at you and evaluate all factors in a competent way. Will most likely not be returning to this hospital and it is a shame since the nurses and staff are very good. Unless you would lile getting treated as an addict, stay away!

I have seizures and had one last night. The er gave me Dilantin through my Iv. And I loss feeling in my face, I lost my. Hearing all I could hear was ringing. I couldn’t walk. I literally felt drunk or something. Then when I asked the nurse if that was normal she laughed at me and told me well if your concerned I can put you back in the waiting room and you can be rechecked in. Mind you I had not been discharged yet I was also still in a room with my iv going with medicine and everything when she said this. I was scared. I had driven my self to the hospital. I couldn’t even walk a straight line let alone drive. Mind you I also told the nurse this and she laughed at me like it was a joke. If this is how your er nurses act I will never come here again for my seizures. I had to call someone to come get me and when I walked down to the pharmacy multiple staff members asked if I was drunk. My friend had to practically carry me out of the hospital.

I'd give you zero stars if the option were there. I have sat on hold for 20 minutes trying to speak to someone in Billing and I'm still on hold. Your hold announcements are literally the most annoying thing to listen to whilst waiting. They're obnoxiously loud and completely non-conducive to helping people who are waiting in queue. Wait time has now increased to 25 minutes since beginning this review. This is discourteous and unprofessional. I have now hung up the phone. That was my third call so if you don't get your money, blame your customer service (or lack thereof). As far as your emergency room staff/physician, they gave my daughter NOTHING to alleviate pain for a BROKEN ELBOW!! Are you kidding me???? Is this what emergency health care has come to? Even broken bones don't warrant something for pain? Unbelievable. Hospitals care more about $$ than they do about helping people.

I went to see my boyfriend who has dementia and it looked like he hadn’t been shaved all week.. and then some. I shaved him while I was there. I had sent him boxes of snacks..big boxes snacks blanket clothes . The box had homemade veggie soup and chicken and noodles.. the box had never been opened.. 3-4 weeks later I find the box in his little closet. Absolutely NO CALL FOR THAT. Those dishes rotted in the box.. unshaven and “cradle cap” on his upper lip. I was out of town and could not see him or what was happening . Next time I go in.. I had better not find him in the same condition. Never did like this place!!

My father had gall bladder cancer. He had surgery to remove gall bladder on his birthday Feb. 18, 2022. Dr. Molina-Vega performed the surgery. After opening up his midsection, Dr. Molina-Vega decided not to remove his gall bladder. I asked Dr. Molina why he decided not to remove gall bladder. He said it would have killed him if he did. This was on Saturday. We were very concerned. On the following Tuesday my father goes to the follow up appointment and bloodwork results from surgery. Dr. Molina-Vega informs my father, after reviewing the bloodwork results, that he wants to let the wound heal and perform another surgery to remove gall bladder. Two weeks later Dr. Molina-Vega decides Immunotherapy is best. Four months later, my father recieved the first injection of treatment. My father then went down quickly. A month later, he passes on August 7th 2022. It was very tough to see my father go through this suffering and pain. My family is very disappointed with this hospital and doctor. We were very confused on the timing and decisions that were made. Lakeland Regional Hospital and Dr. Molina-Vega did not help my father at all. My family is very disappointed in the performance of this hospital and doctor. I am not blaming them for his passing, but there is reason to believe many mistakes were made.
