I went into Beaches with a chip on my shoulder. Wondering, why me? Why did I have to go to get help? I only took what my doctor had prescribed for my anxiety and I'd been doing that for years. Why do I have to change when I was taking a prescription? It made no sense. I was so confused. But, after a some time there, the question I was asking myself changed. Why was I someone who could not function in society without the use of that prescription? That was hard. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was admitting to myself that I was wrong. Then, I was ashamed. I was angry. But, most of all I was scared. Thank the Gods I was in the right place for that kind of change riddled with fear. You cant adequately thank the people who save your life. Words aren't enough. However, I can start with saying a big Thank You to the staff of therapist who were my team, my family as I was there. The Techs, drivers, even the volunteers doing Smart, NA , or Speaking. You also have a Medical Staff around the clock if need be. My Primary Therapist, Ryan Terry, helped me see my pain and fear and use it as a tool to work with, to know myself better. (Thats a powerful thing to recognize when fighting addiction, btw) By the time I left in October, I was no longer in rehab for drugs. I was in a treatment facility on how to make sure I lived my best life ever single day. 6 months later, my life is what I make of it. From going on random stay-vacations at Spa's every month. To taking my kids and their friends out once a week. None of my days are ever "just another day"! ? They speak volumes of who I have become.

My cousin completed their program about 7 months ago and her whole life is different now. She finally got the mental health help she needed to get her over that hump. We stayed in touch while she was there and she loved the program. She is her true self now. She does self care, has stopped self medicating, started a small business which is taking off. I am just elated at what this program did for her. I’ve been to two rehabs and Beaches recovery is by far the best. The facility provides an array of recovery options/methods rather than just support groups such as A.A. or NA. They encourage mindfulness and meditation which was something I was not introduced to before, as well as a refuge recovery which became one of my favorites. I was glad to learn different coping methods that fit my comfort level. Also, the support during treatment and after is undeniably superb. At my first rehab, I didn’t receive any follow up contact except maybe a quarterly and yearly letter. At Beaches, if I was ever struggling post treatment, I was able to call/speak to my old counselor and follow up coordinator. I can say they truly changed my life and taught me all of the tools I need to stay sober!

They are the most caring staff. The care is amazing. I truly opened up and found the root cause of a lot of problems that I didn't realize I had the facility is great the housing facility is amazing you're right on the beach you have yogurt and a lot of other activities. I miss being there but I know I had to go if it was up to me I could stay there forever this is an amazing place they really give you a chance to live your life over again in a good and positive way. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who needs help with their addiction this is the place to be I can honestly say that this place truly help me.

Worst place I've have ever been to. They lied to me about almost everything. Basically paid them to go to AA/NA meetings which I couldn't found in New Jersey.They told me they detox on sit as well which they don't they send you to another place. Also told me that my insurance covered at 100% and when I got out I was hit with many bills which almost made me relapse. Please do your research before attending this program.

Beaches Recovery helped save my life. I was at beaches back in 2015 when they first opened and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The people there was amazing and they opened my eyes to the disease aspect of addiction. I met some great people while I was there and would recommend this place to anybody that wants help

I could literally write a book on how amazing beaches recovery is! It has changed my life. I came in hopeless, broken, & ready to just die. My therapist there was Ryan Terry, & he showed me a new way of living! The staff at beaches genuinely cares about their clients! The housing is awesome! They always make sure we have everything we need as well. Yes, there will be pros & cons anywhere you go.. but at beaches the pros definitely out weight the cons. And when there are problems they fix them! I would definitely recommend Beaches to anybody looking to find a new way of living & to get sober! I love beaches & every staff member who works there! AWESOME treatment center hands down. ❤️

I was a client at Beaches Recovery a little less than a year ago. They have truly changed my life. Not only did they get the medications for my dual diagnosis right for the first time ever, I also learned how to live in the moment, be compassionate towards myself as well as others, meditate, and respond to situations rather than reacting. I was flown out from California to Florida to attend the program and upon successful completion they covered my airfare home too. I felt like there was genuine concern in regards to my recovery. I was treated with respect and even pampered. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is serious about achieving long-term sobriety. I presented as a client at beaches recovery in March of 2016. I was so lost. I had struggled to stay clean over the course of many years, especially after the death of my daughter's father. I had been to treatment before, but previous treatment centers only focussed on my substance abuse. Beaches was the first facility that identified and treated all of the areas in my life that were diseased. I received treatment for an eating disorder and for grief and trauma from a very destructive pattern of abusive relationships. My therapist, Ashley, was relentless when it came to finding services to meet every one of my needs, sometimes even referring me out to more qualified entities and providing a myriad of community resources. The accommodations were luxurious to say the least. The gym, beach, zip lining, ropes courses, and all the other fun activities helped me realize early on that I could and would be able to have fun without the use of drugs! Miracles have occurred in my life since leaving Beaches. I am back in school. I've mended relationships that I thought were beyond repair. I get to be a good mother, daughter, and friend. I was once unemployable and can say i am an asset to the company for which I work. I am currently working in the recovery field and I model the way I treat my clients after the way I was treated at beaches. I have an amazing life today. One that started at beaches recovery!

Beaches Recovery literally saved my life! I truly believe God had a hand in placing me there last May! By the time I arrived at Beaches I could find no reason to live! I drank everyday which resulted in the lose of family and friends! Some how I still had my job! With the help of Beaches staff and an amazing therapist I started to see many reason's to live and realize how blessed I truly was!! Yes there are some strict rules and expectations but this is part of learning to be responsible for yourself! I learned how to live life without the need or want of drugs or alcohol! Beaches probably saved my life. Groups were small and therapy was focused specifically to my needs (such as dual diagnosis, lgbt, mindfulness or trauma etc...). Accommodations were amazing. Close to the ocean, clean, and home like. They focused on life skills and taught me a whole new way to live. The staff were open to suggestions and helped me create a program that worked for my life. Aftercare has been helpful. The staff truly care and want to make sure you have everything you need to be a success. I was incredibly shy and in a lot of pain and the staff made sure my needs were taken care of and they stopped to talk to me to make sure I was ok. They also helped me step out of my comfort zone which opened my eyes to new opportunities and options to staying sober

I am a hard headed alcoholic drug addict who was near death. Coming to Beaches and following their program was one of the wisest things I have done in my life. Addiction is very misunderstood and hard to deal with. Beaches Recovery was, and is, capable of stopping the deadly cycle and setting someone up for success. The housing is nicer than anywhere Ive ever lived. More importantly, the staff are what really makes the place shine. They genuinely care and want to help people with substance abuse of any kind recover. If it worked for me, saved my life, then it can work for anyone.

My son was in treatment there he got kicked out because he use profanity at his ex-girlfriend In there. My son was not allowed to take any of his belongings or allowed to come back and get Anything. He Had to go live on the beach . This program gave up on someone that had already given up on himself. We tried getting a hold of people there we were unsuccessful if it wasn’t for his ex-girlfriend this is how we found things out about him goetting kicked out and what was going on. Most families don’t have money to help their kids out in Treatment . Thank God we were able to get him a taxi ride get him into a hotel to get him fed and was able to buy a plane ticket to come home. We are not happy with this treatment facility at all what they did to my son just kicking him out when he did not relapse or do anything in that sort .

Beaches was a great program. There are some amazing people who work there. Jacksonville is a great city to get sober in and this program has great therapists and fun activities. I still remember how much fun we had at ropes course!

Beaches Recovery and their team of experts saved my life! I was able to recover from multiple addictions but while being treated Beaches Recovery uncovered a mental disease that was misdiagnosed from 4 psychologists over the last decade. “Misdiagnosis” causes HUGE problems and the staff at Beaches Recovery figured it out!!!! One tip of advice or my opinion: You have to be willing and focused on your own recovery. Like anything, you will interact with different walks of life also attending treatment but I learned so much more. I made some great friends. The staff REALLY cares, the therapists Rock and the nurses and doctors work diligently to get you comfortable and properly medicated. The perfect triangle of people that will impact you emotionally, physically, and spiritually AND after your done detoxing you will laugh again and have fun!! Recovery is not easy but if you are ready and willing beaches will get you back on your feet living a life you never dreamed of and I am walking proof!!!

Beaches Recovery absolutely, with a doubt saved my life. I was nothing but your average junkie on the streets of Texas when I got ahold of Beaches. They flew me out, helped me through the detox process and gave me a temporary home among AA driven people. Some might say the therapy didn't work for them, but beaches offers so much more than just therapy. They offer you the chance to completely change your life. The staff memebers genuinely cared about my recovery. I've been out of rehab for almost a month now and I still have staff reaching out to make sure I'm okay. For anyone suffering from addiction, take it from someone who has been through multiple programs and institutions, the place is nothing short of a blessing.

I came to Beaches in need of help for my alcohol addiction. I had exhausted every effort on my own to get a grip on the control that alcohol had on my life. Immediately I felt at home and ease with the program. The staff was amazing in helping me get settled in. I was very impressed with the living arrangements and the amount of supervised freedoms that we had, while getting treatment at the same time. Beaches offered an educated, yet personable, staff. For me, the difference came in Beaches being a dual treatment center. I was able to not only get help for my depression and anxiety that was triggering my alcohol abuse, but also understanding in how to deal these issues. I also left with a full knowledge of ways to recognize and deal with this once I returned home. I honestly didn't know how I was going to be able to get to some point of stability in my life again. I thought that it would be impossible, or at best, short term upon returning home. I have stayed in contact not only with the friends that have become more like family to me, but also some of the staff. Their constant effort to stay a part of my recovery during and after my treatment has been on point. I have recommended this facility to numerous friends and have shared my story on social media. I feel like I need to use this experience to further benefit others.

I somewhat reluctantly attended Beaches Recovery after a second trip to detox. I felt I owed it to myself and family to further my recovery and agreed to only a 30 day stay at Beaches. I didn't come from the streets, or a court order, I came from a wonderful home with a loving family and a serious opiate habit, that caused my life to completely hit rock bottom. It took me less than a day to realize that this was going to be the best moments of my life. Moments spent with loving, caring, understanding fellow members and staff. From the drivers to the therapist, to the medical staff to the house managers, to the management staff, I was always treated with the utmost respect and understanding. I had plenty of time to work on my issues daily, while feeding off others and learning from their experiences too. Cannot tell you how others in the program helped me heal, while therapist and staff helped me find the causes of my addiction, and how to use the tools provided to heal as a person. I ended up staying 65 days at Beaches Recovery, and wished I had more time. Beaches doesn't just talk the talk, they actually care and provide you with every tool you need to heal as a person, and how to be proud of the progress you make along the way. I still stay in touch with staff, as I consider them part of my family now. I am treated with as much respect now as I did when I was in the program. There are too many people to thank in such a short review, but I want to thank all of the staff at Beaches Recovery for caring for me through the toughest time of my life yet the best experience of my life. If you are serious about Recovery, there is no substitute for Beaches Recovery.

Beaches is where I got clean and sober. I've been to 2 other rehab facilities and never had the motivation to give up using drugs. I found my motivation at beaches. The faculty and staff care about each and every client there. They truly care about our wellbeing and support our recovery. I was there for about 6 months, initially doing about one month of IOP, transitioned to inpatient for about 3 months, then did another 2 months of IOP afterwards. I live here in Jacksonville and have been through multiple addiction therapists. None of them seemed to work for me. My therapist at Beaches was the only one that got through to me and she actually inspired me to go to school to become an addiction therapist. I had such a great experience at Beaches Recovery. I'm very grateful for this facility. I now have almost 8 months clean, and I definitely owe a lot of it to beaches because they truly taught me how to live clean and sober and how to cope with daily life. Love this place and would recommend it to anyone seeking treatment!!
