There are different factors for how the alcohol can effect the brain. For example, how much and how often she drank, the age she began drinking and how long she was drinking for, whether there was a family history of alcoholism, genetic history, and her general health status. As the amount of alcohol consumed increases, so does its effects on the brain. Especially those parts storing memory and motor function.

Alcohol does have an effect on the brain, and it does tend to impact women more often than men. People have actually found that depending on how much a woman drinks, her brain can shrink, which is a sign of brain damage.
