How do I know if someone is an alcoholic?

The partner I have on an assigned project at work neglects to uphold responsibilities put upon her. How would I know if shes an alcoholic, because I get the impression that she is.

It sounds like you need a bit more information. There can be any number of reasons for someone to neglect their work. They may be experiencing a difficult personal time or be under a lot of stress in other areas of their life. If there are no outward signs of drunkenness such as slurred speech or inebriated behaviors, it could be beneficial to ask her why she’s having such a difficult time at work.
