Do you have to drink everyday to be an alcoholic?

When I started drinking alcohol I was in college and drank a lot almost everyday. After a while I got burnt out and slowed down on the amount of alcohol I drank. These days, I'm only drinking on the weekend, but I'm afraid that I'm an alcoholic.

To answer your question - alcohol doesn’t have to be consumed on a daily basis for someone to be considered an alcoholic.
