Can percocet cause depression?

Had surgery done on my foot and they gave me percocet. After I started taking percocet I started having depression. Is the depression happening because of the percocet?

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing depression. I struggle with depression and it is an exhausting battle. I would have to say that it can because it changes the bodys chemicals from homeostatsis and can mess with your brain. Hopefully you can get off this stuff soon and get back to your normal self.
