Can opiates cause seizures?

The pain specialist prescribed opiate pain killers and I have had one or two seizures since.

Opiate misuse and abuse is more known to cause seizures than if the medicine and/or drug is taken as prescribed. Seziures are an extremely serious symptom are should be addressed in a serious timely manner.
