I really want to stop drinking but.. I don’t want to go through withdrawal. I’ve seen other people do it and it worries me.

Alcohol withdrawal tends to take about 5 7 days. Thats the average. If youve just come off a huge bender and have been drinking heavily for years, then it could be longer. But symptoms usually peak around day 3 or 4 and then taper off a bit.

It’s not an easy few days but it’s worth it

Best case scenario for an alcohol withdrawal timeline is about a week. After that, apart from still wanting another drink so badly, all the pain should be gone and youll begin to see the world more clearly. The cravings can get bad, but if you go back on it, youll only have to come off it again.

Its can last about a week, but I agree. Getting sober it so worth the withdrawal.

Youre looking at around 7 days, but it could be more. It generally depends how much youve been drinking, and how much you actually drank on your last binge. If youve been on a bender for a few days, the alcohol needs time to leave your system, and bear in mind that the heavier youve been drinking and how many years its been will affect the length of your withdrawal. Also keep in mind that you shouldnt attempt to go through withdrawal on your own, simply because it could kill you. so that you detox safely.

Just over a week. But, alcohol withdrawal symptoms are not just uncomfortable they can be downright dangerous. Around 10% of people who abuse alcohol get more serious symptoms that can actually kill you, so its highly recommended that you seek medical advice before coming off the booze alone.
