While leaving the bar for karoke night, I witnessed a homeless man who looked very ill. I asked him if he was alright and he replied that he was struggling because of alcohol withdrawal. The interaction made me a little sad, how long do alcohol withdrawals last is my question.

Anyone who is going through alcohol withdrawal usually suffers a lot in the first week or two, whereas after that the symptoms are more psychological.
