Can heroin withdrawal kill you?

Before getting on a suboxone plan to help with recovery from heroin my Dr. did blood work and examined my health. She said that the heroin use deteriorated my immune system enough to put me at risk for a fatal withdrawal. Is this something that is common with heroin withdrawal?

You might feel like you're dying or that you want to die but no withdrawal from heroin and other opiates will not kill you.

If you have other health conditions that put you at risk than maybe it could but heroin withdrawal alone can't kill someone. Best of luck and stay in contact with your doctor dude, heroin is not worth dying for.
