My girlfriend smokes pot like every day, she says she is addicted. Why is marijuana addicting?

The only addictive thing about pot is the munchies, all you want to do is eat after you smoke.

People who abuse marijuana may feel irritable, and have trouble sleeping. I can see how this may make some people addicted.
