Why do people abuse xanax?

I’m a secretary in a psych office and I’m amazed at the number of patients who call in, crying and begging for their Xanax—like they can’t live without it. Why is this getting so bad?

Abuse of xanax happens when people enjoy the feeling xanax gives them, so they want to take more and more of the drug, causing them to feel the need for it. AKA becoming addicted to it. The real strength of taking xanax is admitting your addiction and getting help. Looking for help can be exhausting, and confusing. If you first look at what will happen in re-hab, you may have a better idea of what type of rehab would suit you best, a good informative article on this can be found at this site find rehab centers

Xanax and other benzos are super addictive and can make people psychologically dependent relatively fast. Especially when they feel like they cant do anything without taking a pill first. It can lead to anxiety as a backlash when they don’t have it.

Benzos interact with brain chemicals and it’s extremely easy to get addicted pretty quick. It’s a problem because of the overprescribing of the meds by irresponsible doctors, or because patients doctor shop until they get the meds that they want.

You really gotta ask yourself what does xanax do to understand why people abuse it. As a street drug xanax enhanc-es the effects of alcohol. This resulting in people abusing it. Mostly in social situa-tions.

states that the tolerance along with other properties of the drug, gives it a considerable addiction poten-tial. One of the factors that make it ad-dictive is the fact that ir can cause a eu-phoric high if abused. It is rare to become addicted if taken as prescribed, but be-cause of the euphoric high people do abuse it, and their tolerance for it in-creases, until they are taking what is known as xanax bars, the highest form of xanax.
