Is it possible some people are prone to addiction? I mean what would make someone prone to addiction?

Yes some people are prone to addiction, because of their addictive personality, or even an early encounter with alcohol can have lasting effects on someone.

My Mom went through some tough things as a child which caused her to helpless and isolated. I really feel like this made her prone to addiction.
