I want to have an open and honest conversation with my young children about the dangers of drug addiction. Which substances should I warn them about in particular?

I think it’s great that you are trying to educate your kids about this topic. I would warn them about some of the most addictive substances like opiates and methamphetamines. Of course, all drugs are bad, but these substances are particularly addictive and can devastate and destroy a person’s life in the blink of an eye. I know because this happened to my own son.
