When does alcohol withdrawal begin?

After my last alcoholic drink, when will I begin to feel withdrawal? I have been drinking for a while and I think it’s time for me to take a break. It is starting to interfere with my life.

Hey! I’ve been in your position. In my opinion, you will most likely start experiencing insomnia, shaking, anxiety, restlessness and cramping about 8 hours after the last drink. If you have been heavily abusing alcohol for a while now, I would definitely talk with your doctor before stopping completely.
