What makes marijuana addictive?

I have never once felt addicted to marijuana, i’ve smoked for years and could give it up. I have before but years went by and I started to smoke to help with my nausea. Now I hear all these people saying it’s addictive. What i’d like to know is what makes marijuana addictive?

Marijuana is nice to smoke on the weekend with my neighbor, i’m not really sure what makes it addictive. I have never in my life felt it was addictive.
