I think my boyfriend is an alcoholic. What are the usual signs, so I can be sure, before I accuse him, cos it’s probably going to cause a big row.

If he loses his head when you say that to him, then that’s a food sign that he has a problem with alcohol. If he doesn’t know when to stop, or doesn’t want to, then he is an alcoholic.
