I was in school today but my only friend didn’t make it. I asked my math teacher is she knew why, and she said that Sue had an addiction she needed to deal with. I feel dumb for asking but what is an addiction?

Your friend Sue is experiencing something that is happening more often in teens. She can’t stop taking drugs or alcohol and needs help to stop. I’m glad she is getting the help she needs.
