How do you know when someone has become dependent on alcohol? My boyfriend has had a hard time lately, and he keeps just drinking til he falls asleep. How do I know if he’s become dependent on alcohol?

If he’s under pressure it may be just a phase, but that kind of behavior indicates a bigger problem. If he’s sweaty or shaking when he needs a drink, he might be dependent on it.
